I just got my last print copy of Dungeon yesterday.

*Sob*

Farewell old friend.

*Sniff*

Erik
Will Pathfinder be tailored towards DM's alone? Or will there indeed be some content for Players?

Best of luck by the way!

Once I get over the shock of the loss, I'll start working towards a subscription of Pathfinder. I just have to clear it with my financial advisor (i.e. the wife).

Istivin, I wrote a whole campaign around the 3 Adventure Arc that came out a while back.

Vecna knows all your secrets. Vecna has been here before you, and will remain after you. All that you try to hide from others, Vecna knows the truth of it.

All hail Vecna! The one true god.

Muhahahahaha!!!!

Temmogen likeum Modrons, big heap much.
Anybody get the Web enhancement from WOTC, all about Modrons.
I did.
My next campaigns' central focus is a battle for an artifact in Istivin. Modrons vs. Slaad. Gonna be good time.

Eeewwww!!!
Dont get any Kender on me....

yuck.

I envy the stranded staff at Paizo. I'm in denver. During the first blizzard, my boss rented 4 wheel drives and took the office staff home, we never got a chance to get the menu arranged. The second blizzard, and we had learned our lesson, everybody left the office early. I was stuck at home, with no hope of even getting an online game going, I was too busy shoveling 36 inches of snow off my driveway. Now here I sit, it's a whopping 3 degrees outside, and I'm facing the possibility of another 10 inches by monday, and the return to office. There are many tasty looking entrees, errr I mean people at my office, and I shall be sad to see the this recent blizzard season come to an end. After all, so many people, so little charcoal....Did I mention that I make a really nice sweet BBQ sauce?

I bought two of them (and these things are GREAT! btw), I havent tried to open them and lay them flat, but I dont see as I'll need to do that. I use them for quick reference during the game. But the books themselves are fantastic! Fantasic job, thanks again.

I use card sleeves and china markers. Works like a charm.

Did anyone get a Spiked Chain?
Just about everyone I've seen, is looking for it. Now I'm really curious to see what it looks like.

OKey Dokey, are any of your foils, stuff I'm looking for?

BTW my email is temmogen@gmail.com

Oo! Oo! Me too, Me too!!

Anybody? Anybody?

Bueller....Bueller...

Any news would be great.

Just to throw in my 2 coppers....

I bought and entire box of boosters. I am slightly dissapointed in that, if you buy a box you are not guaranteed a complete set. I am short by 10 cards, and I have 29 doubles. Not enough to keep me from buying them, because I do really like the concept, but enough for a minor dissapointment.

An excellent idea, the trading thread. So here goes.
Presented card number then title.

I am looking for:
4 Half Plate
8 Scale Mail

96 Bottle

I have to trade:

41 potion
42 potion
49 potion
56 potion
44 potion
101 cloak

If you would like to trade, just email me and we'll work out the details. Thanks.

I can only agree....
Told my FNHS about it, and them order me one as soon as I saw it in Dungeon. Been waiting for something like this, now I can clean up all those post it notes on my computer.

Groovy, Thanks.
Actually I'm the DM in question, and was just wondering if you orginally had another feat in mind. Because, I agree with you about the Combat Casting feat, waste of ink.
I had oginally changed the requirements to Arcane Thesis and Spell Mastery, but reduced it to just Arcane Thesis because you only had one feat as a requirement in the original text.

I have a question for Jishuo Yang, about the requirements for becoming a Force missile Mage.
What is the reasoning behind the feat requirement of Combat Casting?
Also, in light of the new feats released in the PHB 2, would replacing that feat with Arcane Thesis be acceptable to the esteemed members of the message boards...

Thanks in advance.

*stands up*
Hello, my name is Temmogen..."Hello Temmogen" says crowd.
I am a gaming addict, having just counted my books. Just the sourcebooks, for all of my roleplaying games mind you...We have a grand total of 157 books. This spans Basic through 3.5 D&D, CoC, D20 Starwars, Traveller, D20 Modern, etc. Now if you will excuse me, I have to pick up my PHB II and the Item Pack 1, then I'll be trying to get this hook out of my mouth.
But wait...there's more. This is not counting the years of stored Dungeon and Dragon mags, the adventures, or the downloads. then of course, we can look across my game room, at the BattleTech shelf. 40+ books there, and the the boardgame shelf. Then lets take into consideration the reams of paper, I myself have generated, creating campaigns, NPC's general game notes, and the like. I'm saying I have more than anybody, but I will admit to being in the top ranks of the gaming insane.

You might check the ENworld conversion library. They have a huge amount of converted modules.

BS Anthropology & Archeaology plus 2 years field study at various locations. Lost interest and got a job doing something completly out of field. I dispatch for a courier company now.

I went home, I ripped open the box ( with great zeal), I found the goodness contained within, I almost got murdered by my wife for ignoring her most of the night whilst I drooled through my new book.
Paizo said let there be The Compendium, and there was......and it was good!
The New Deathmaster doesnt have the original favor of the old one, but It's an excellent conversion all the same. Kudos to the converter. I can combine this with some feats from BOVD and have a truly nasty BBEG.
The artwork is just stunning. I especially like the cover art pages in back.
The reprints of the classic articles is fantastic, fumbles and crits will be getting new life in my campaigns now.
Overall this is an excellent book, you guys done good.
Looking forward to Volume 2.

Follow the yellow brick road...
You're a munchkin if you think you are...
Otherwise, you might be an Oompa Loompa.

My Compendium arrived!!!
I'm still at work, but my book is at home!
Yes!! Thanks Guys!!!

Muahahahaha, the Deathmaster reborn, I cant wait!

Marc Chin wrote:

Does anyone know if there is a "Return to The Barrier Peaks" in the works?

If I had the time...

The d20 system should make that conversion pretty easy - but I don't play any of the modern d20 systems, so I couldn't do it justice.

M

I thought at the end of Barrier Peaks, the space ship takes off...I coould have remembered this wrong, so dont quote me.

However there is nothing that says it couldnt have landed somewhere else on Oerth. Maybe the sea of dust?

***Thats an interesting turn of events--walks away muttering to himself***

I really enjoyed the Isle of Dread update Dungeon did not too long ago. But I have to agree, I'd love to see someone update the Keep on the Borderlands. I have some fond memories of the module.

It's an official conversion in PDF form. Running about 20 megs, I juist finished printing it out. It's xerox subsidy at work, all praise the great god Xerox!!
Currently it just saaved me months of research, and headaches.
Tell your friends, the Tomb has returned.

I am sooooooo bummed....
However, I would rather get quality later, than "eh" right now.
So I am willing to ride out the delay.
I dont suppose the printer is in denver is it? Then I could arrange to sneak in and get the first sale ready copy, when nobody is looking.....

The Death Master!! Updated to 3.5?!?! I'm sold,I'll be ordering it.

:-)

I actually dont think it's a full fledged adventure. I have an old issue, cant think of the number right now. But there is a Grey dwarf city thats sounds like what you're describing. As I'm at work right now I cant look it up. I think it's the Dragon with 4 alternate underdarks. Hope that helps. I'll look up the issue when I get hme and post it for you.

The way I did it, was that the character in question had to make a fort save to resist being infected, and if he failed. Then he takes Chr damage until he disapears.....According the rules set down in the description. The rogue in the party has been infected twice. He did finally get the hint and stopped trying to use the magic items he found.

Hope that helps

I have seen magazine storage binders at some of the office supply stores, they consist of thin plastic pieces that slide down over the spine of the magazine, and allows you to put them in a 3 ring binder. I personally dont use this option (not enough shelf space)I just went to The Container Store and bought magazine storage cases. They're water proof and they stack nicely. Hope that helps. :-)

Big Smart Spiders and Zombies.

Typically supplementary web material lags a week or so behind the date the magazine appears on newsstands... which can be two-three weeks after some subscribers get it.

The price subscribers pay for receiving the material early, I suppose ;)

Oh, I was just kidding, I'm not even close to running it yet, we're just getting to the Malachite Fortress in Shackled City.

Other than being lied too....(Where's the AOW Overload? I cant find it on the site anywhere.) Overall #125 maintains the fantastic quality I've come to expect.
Keep up the good work!!!

Just out of curiosity, how many game sessions did your group need to get through Life's Bazzar?

My group is now starting on out fifth session, and they are still in Jzadarune.

Thanks for perspective.

P.S.
Sorry about the misspell in the title, big fingers little keyboard, syndrome...

A TPK!!!
First a little background info. I had three PC's not make the game for various reasons so I ran with 1 PC and 3 NPC's played buy the resident pool of gamers in attendance at the shop where I play. So technically this only a 1 PC kill, but I did manage to get all of the current characters in the party.
They had just wandered in the Glassblowing workshop, and no one had spotted the Dark Stalker. He naturally let them pass, because they did not find the secret door to the treasure room. Travelling south from there the fighter goes in alone to explore the room where the Dark Creeper is hidden with the Pulverizer. The Creeper shouts to activate the Pulverizer, which promptly kills the fighter. The Creeper then proceeds to harry the cleric to keep him from healing the fighter, while the rogue and wizard hang back in the hallway and ready thier actions. The Dark Stalker in the meantime has decided to help out and sneak attacks the wizard, dropping him. The rogue springs into action and hits the wizard with the twinkle stick bringing him back just in time to scramble away. The Stalker then squares off against the rogue and in his first swing crits for 24 pionts, killing the rogue outright. While this is happening, the Pulverizer has walked up behind the cleric and taken him out. All thats left is the wizard, trapped in a 10 by 20 hallway with a Dark Stalker, a Dark Creeper, with a Pulverizer backup.

Welcome to the dungeon gentlemen!! Todays word is PAIN.

The final set up for my group ended up like so...
Xenon the Great Earcharmer(Morty)/Human Bard
Ker/Human Rogue
Tanya/Human (VOP) Monk
Svaal/Human Conjurer(Wizard)

Can you believe it? An all human party, I was so suprised.
So far they have skipped over the orphanage encounter, adn moved straight into Jzadarune...
The bard has died twice and they just made enough to buy a twinkle stick. Their survivability should improve now.

Temmogen wrote:

Human Bard
Human Wizard
Human or Dwarven Rogue
And some form of Monk...

If anyone were so inclined could you try a work up of Michael Stackpole's DragonCrown war series. Starting with "The Dark Glory War" Then proceeding through the trilogy.
"Fortress Draconis"
"When Dragons Rage"
"The Grand Crusade"

Try taking it to Kinko's and get it laminated. I did that with all my maps so far, then, the life span of your map is increased, they become safely transportable, and you can just clip them to sheets of faom core to hang up on the wall. Just something to think about, if you're on a budget.

I may be too late, and I may be dating myself, but....
Is "Kendall Keep" (The Keep on the Borderlands) going to be on the map?
If you dont have any plans too, could you please include it's location. If not, s'ok, I was just asking...

Thanks.

I have to go with "Bestow Curse","Enervation",and "Wrack".
Good combo, works to take down enemy spellslingers, quickly and efficiently.
