Zorakir glaced over at the forlorn knight, it was a sad site to behold, as if watching a unicorn die. "Things aren't as simple they are in nature, the sun is loving mother yet also a stern father, a giver and a taker of life. The natural world just acts, completely unaligned. These golems might be irredeemably, but can't someone use evil force for good just as some can used magic to damge the weather? There must always be checks and balance, Drystan and yourselves are the keepers. Perhaps we can finds a way in the future to destroy them or let nature grow over them." Zorakir nods and overs a small bow to the knight, after the formalities he wraps his wines around the golem, harnessing to his back. pushing his feet off the ground he manages to carry the golem as if it were a child's doll. Shoulders as wide as the world: Commit Effort. The Godbound can pick up any object no larger than a warship and carry it at their normal movement rate. The gift allows the object to hold together and the Godbound to avoid sinking into the earth, but the object is too unwieldy to use for violent ends.
So I'm enjoying this game, I only have one problem. I feel like the lore is so expansive that I feel a little lost. Tides, would we be able to eventually get a world gazetteer? For now I will go back and read older posts, but having one big doc could help. Also I'm going to do a bit more in terms of world building, I'm going to send you a pm tonight or tomorrow with some ideas I'd like to pitch for both my characters.

I've never read anything by Terry Pratchett, I've been meaning too. That being said I'm glad someone enjoyed my tongue in cheek antics. Great quote by the way.

"Why not blot out the sun? I may have slept some time during the Age of Darkness, humans are still around no? They adapted, there is magic to supply their food and sunlight. In fact, during the Darkness, didn't Dwarves and orcs rushed out of the ground. What's to say the other denizens deep in the earth won't do the same, there is plenty for us to feast upon in this world. We're THE apex predators." Retorts Thulmerë to his fellow vampires, demons and deities in the council chamber as he paces back and forth. "Even the Aboleths weren't able to blot the sun forever, given our immortally we can use this chaos to consolidate our reach, acquire more power and pull the string as we have for millennia. We can reshape the world as we see fit, or hide this power and maintain the status quo." He proposes to the council.
When picturing the evil that will befall Talingarde, this is the only thing that comes to mind. Death to all who oppose us!

Same with the english I was raised with, plus Canadian english that I later learned is a weird mix of Uk and american. It's to be expected, Canada is pretty much a theme park. I figured I would influence him as I didn't shirk work or work diligently.
Speaking of all homebrew race Party...That's what my group is doing currently, not a single core-race and I love it. I blame 3.5 books; savage species, cityscape and a dragon magazine for introducing me to the idea of monster campaigns and monster cities which the inhabitants just live their lives in a cosmopolitan society. Another honorable mention would be Clive Barkers book called Cabal. |
