I hope you've recovered fully. This virus can be nasty.

"We were looking for you. We met your man by the lake and he will not be able to work for you any more. But from what we heard, maybe we can help you."

Bump

"Back every one, someone has let the apes loose. Parnell, can you try to calm them?", says Talia, moving back to get some space between the incoming apes and herself.

Talia nods to Harold, smile vanishing from her face and opens the flap of two of her quivers while readying her bow. "He's got apes guarding his house. Maybe they escaped or someone freed them."

Then, she enters the foyer as with a light step, looking for who could have done that and listening to any noise.

Yep, let's go

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

Talia is only going to restock in arrows and acquire some MW thieves' tools

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

Taking into account a potion of ghoul touch with CL3 (300 GP) and one of chill touch with CL3 (150 GP), we arrive at a total of 1625 GP. If we sell it for half, we have 812 GP and 5SP or 203 GP 1SP per person (not going to divide the last SP in 4 :)

And Parnel Keeps the circlet, Istvan the spellbook and Harold the Amulter of natural armor, the potion of false life and gentle repose, the horns and the chaos box.

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

@GM Fangar: in the loot, we have a potion of ghost touch. There is no ghost touch spell and i can only think of two similar things: either a potion of ghoul touch or an oil of ghost touch that would temporal give a weapon the ghoul touch property.

I already got the +1 short sword, the feather falling ring and the glasses of minute seing, so I'm fine with magical items. I'm happy with harold suggestions and propose that Parnell gets the circlet of wisdom.

Loot updated with Talia and Harold suggestions:

Spellbook (Istvan)
Silver tray (50gp) to sell
Glasses (70gp) to sell
Lammasu rug (buried)
Potion of Gentle Repose (group keep)
Potion of False Life (Harold)
Potion of Ghost Touch (if that's an oil of ghost touch, we should keep it. If it's a potion of ghoul touch, we may want to keep it but Talia would prefer we sell it.)
Potion of Chill Touch to sell gp ??
Coins (25gp)
Small Emerald (50gp) to sell
Operating tools (500gp) to sell
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (Harold)
Silverware set (200gp) to sell
Candle stands (30gp) to sell
Starchart (100gp) to sell
Heavy Crossbows x3 to sell
Circlet of Wisdom +2 (Parnell)
Curved black horns x2 (to keep)
Chaos box (to keep)

We also neer to show the box and horns to Allustan

"This really looks creepy.", says Talia, eyeing the pewter box. "But there must be a reason why they kept it in here. Do you think it is still evil, Harold?"

Focusing on the horns, next, she asks Istvan if he knows which creatures they were taken from.

Soryy for the delay, I've put a post in the discussion thread. That's fine with Talia as well.

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

Without an answer from you guys, I'll go on with the necromancer. The course of action Talia proposes is just that, a proposal. If you don't like it, please don't hesitate to propose something else. :)

Moving back upstairs, Talia removes the gag of the necromancer and carries him on his examination table. Fishing out her waterskin, she pours half of it onto the man to make him come back to his senses.
When he opens his eyes, she smiles thinly.

"And a good evening to you as well. I've got good news and bad news. Good news, you're still alive. Bad news, my comrade here is very angry with you because St Cuthbert does not like undeads at all."

Her smile gets thinner. "Normally, I should have more good news here, but I'm afraid I've exhausted them. Fact is, I nearly got killed by one of these a few days ago so I'm not so found of them myself. So here is what I propose you. We're going to patch you up enough. So you can come down and help us bury all those you've animated. Then you'll come with us put the bones of the skeletons back in their rightful tombs. Then we'll help you to my friend's temple and leave you there while we go and discuss with your boss."

Turning back to include her companions, she adds:"I think you can count yourself very lucky with that proposal, because I was more thinking about getting you join your beloved downstairs, but my companions prevented me. So I think to thank me for restraining myself, you could start with telling us all you know about those zombies and worms you were supposed to study."

Harold glares at the Necromancer.

"Shall we first ask him what he is doing here? He seems to have been in the hire of Smenk to study green worms and unkillable zombies. Maybe we should speak to Smenk about that."

General question, what is the view of the Church of St Cuthbert and the secular authorities on necromancy?

Loooking round, she notices the four doors and closes to the one under the stairs. "If we need to clean this up, let's start with that one."

"That's right, once we are done here, we can just burn all of these ones. But we need to stop that right now."

Shouldering her bow, she draw her short sword and goes round the table.
Loping one head after another, she reaches the other side of the table before the stench goes to strong and she turns her back to the table and throws up.

Catcher her breath and rinsing her mouth with some water, she gestures towards the table. "I...I can't do it any more. Please, someone finishes. I can't stand seeing them like that."

"You're right. But first, let's put all those corpses back to rest."

Then, in response to Harold pique, she replies with a smile:
"Oh, come on, don't tell me you never sneaked out of your house through the window when you were younger. This was just the same... in reverse."

Taking a spot right next to Harold, she reopens her quiver.
"I'm ready when you are, let's clear the house."

Oops, it seems my post was half finished. The last sentences should have been:
"Okay, should we interrogate the necromancer ? I want to know where he put the bones we are looking for. Because the ones here are not human. And I'm curious about what Smenk wanted him to do with the un-killable zombies and worms mentioned in the letter.

Sorry about that.

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

Question about character development. As we seem to have lost our archeologist, should Talia go rogue to get trapfinding?

Female Human Ranger 3 (HP 28/28, AC 17/14/13, F+5 R+7 W+3, CMD 19)

I agree first thing is to bind and blindfold him then revive him and start asking questions.

Once the last undead falls, Talia purposely kicks each one in the head. "I'm coming to hate these things more and more each day. Do you think someone at your Church can give me pointers on how to kill them faster, Harold? My arrows just kept on bouncing on these ones."

Then she breathes deeply. "Okay, should we interrogate the necromancer? I want to know where he put the bones we are looking for. Because there were not human. And I'm curious about why Smenk if that's him signing the letter wanted with him. this thing about un-killable zombies and worms"
