Background/Description:
For many years of his young life Talbot was held captive against his will by Flayleaf farmers in the Chelaxian countryside. Born into slavery, and separated from his parents at an early age, Talbot had little choice but to accept his racial stereotype. Forced into long days of manual labor and crop guarding, Talbot always dreamed of a day when he would no longer be considered someone's property.

As time passed, he became quite proficient with the crossbow. Able to hit an apple with a bolt from one hundred feet. He considered himself somewhat of a marksman and wondered if a life in the military might suit him, if ever he became free. Crop thieves were always a danger when harvest time came, and staying one step ahead of them was never an easy task. Talbot learned how to hide and wait for the enemy, always catching them unaware and precisely felling his target with accurate fire.

Eventually, he made a good friend in one of his fellow captives, a halfling by the name of Cobbledarn Meadowlark. Cobbledarn was a devout follower of Erastil, and a skilled agriculturalist, even though his love of nature kept him from rising up against his captors, his good nature caused him to help other slaves escape their bondage. And so it would be, that when the time finally came and Talbot was ready to be free, his ally Cobbledarn aided him in his liberation.
