I'm certain it's been noticed that my posting's been sparse as of late. I'm afraid that if I continue this will keep happening, and probably just get worse. I've tried a few things to keep up (drop games, schedule posting time, etc), but it hasn't helped enough. At this point I'm just dragging things out. So rather than continue on this course I think the most prudent thing for me to do would be to drop the games I'm in.

I do apologize for taking this course of action. I don't like quitting things, which honestly is just as much part of the problem. I've taken on too much, both professionally and personally, and now I'm at that point where everything I'm doing is suffering from it. It's not just here where I've made mistakes and now I need to get things in order. I hope there are no hard feelings but I do understand if there are. Once again, I'm sorry for this.

I can't find anything on what kind of action is required to untie someone. Since I'm looking for moving quickly here, the two options I see. If I can untie or cut the bonds as a standard, I'll do that. If not, I'll draw the Staff of Journey's as I move and use Freedom of Movement on Errorl.

Dismiss Eagle Form, step to H10, Verdant Vine to intersection of I-J, 13-14. This should get all of them, but not me or either hostage. It will provoke so if that person there can make an AoO, they can.

As far as the map situation, I have a slight preference for Google, but only slight. It doesn't load the best at work, but is better at home.

As the elemental of earth appears, Ta'de-win summons forth the mist as planned. Perhaps it's the wrong decision to make, given the circumstance, but at least each knows their role in it, and it does seem the best chance to save everyone given the circumstance.

Ta will begin her own spell, preparing to summon a mist to obscure the front of the structure as soon as Furiel's basher begins to form. "It would do us well to break through the gate quickly, if you are able."

I don't think you're disruptive at all. You attempted subtlety, something we didn't expect and responded in a different manner. A perfect example of what can happen in real life. As Norton said, in a different medium it may have been caught on, but not catching on as it's not expected behavior is also possible. Besides, flaws define a hero as much as their assets.

Also we need to consider how this plays out. If one of the hostages were to be seriously injured or even killed, that right there is a good example of an event that could bring about some change. And there's lots of ways of RPing it out! I kinda like how it's turning out.

Could I get all the windows on the villa facing us with a fog cloud (20' radius)?

"To clarify my plan, I could summon a cloud (Fog Cloud) to cover the front of the building. We break through the gate and towards the door. Once within the cloud I take the form of an eagle (use eagle cape) and fly towards the second floor and attempt to find our friends. While you distract the others I can attempt to free the hostages. I will still have access to another beast transformation and can summon another cloud if needed to cover my movements (Wild shape is still available, and obscuring mist). Once I have them out of the building, we can either continue the assault or retreat."

I hate to ask, but is there anyway we could get an idea of the exterior layout of the building? How many floors it has? Walls/doors/windows?

Ta'de-win speaks quietly, so the birds cannot overhear and with her back to the home. "I believe we must exercise caution in how we approach this situation at this point. Events have become more difficult." She turns to Green for a moment, "Stay calm at what I am about to say." She then relates what the young girl said. "It seems they hold her aunt and our Mivoni swordsman hostage, on the second floor of the house. She has requested help."

If the birds are still close by, Ta'de-win will try to convince the others to back off a bit to discuss.

As they make their way up to the farmhouse, Ta keeps an eye on the farm, looking for any signs of strangeness that may be about, as well as how many they may be dealing with.

Specifically, how many kobolds there are and any signs of physical mistreatment (walking with limps, scars/bruises, that kind of thing). Of course anything else of note.

Honestly anything Int based would be ideal kingdom building wise. I just think an Alchemist might do well (Depending on archetype) without stepping too much on Furiel's toes like a Wizard would. Though of course depending on builds they could be completely different.

Another thought would be a magus. They do decent melee damage, if dex based can do decently at defense, and while would have some overlap with Furiel could have another focus spell-wise.

A witch has some nice advantages (hexes of course being the big one). The fact they could ALSO use Cure spells is something to consider too.

I'm expecting (hoping?) that the Advanced Class Guide playtest comes out tomorrow so we also have the possibility of someone trying out something from that if it has any Int based classes as well.

Just to mention it, there is also the Int based sorcerer.

Hmm, the Lore Warden can benefit from Int as well, though not as much of a focus in it.

Back on wizard topic, there is the Spellslinger as well (can't remember if guns were allowed in recruitment). It does need the Alchemy so fits in with the idea of being someone hired to investigate. Int based as a wizard. Not a really strong archteype, but kinda neat.

I think that's all of the int based classes, right?

While I completely understand Furiel's logic on the tenement (honestly, it makes a lot of sense from a gameplay perspective), I'd rather vote house myself. I just don't like the message tenement is sending.

As far as recruitment, I also think combat wise a fighter type would be better. But kingdom wise I'd almost say an intelligence type. Possibly a witch, wizard or ::GASP!:: an alchemist! Like one we may call to help figure out what's going on with the lake. Almost works in the story, doesn't it, eh? Possibly get a connection with one of us to give them a reason to stay? I'm a fan of the bombing types myself, but if you want melee there are those Feral Mutagen types.

I thought the Foundry was a turn 2 build item. I'd say let's hold off building another building right now as well, see what we seem to build. From the rules, it should be (1d20 + E) / 3 if I read them right.

In response to Green, "If that is what must be done, that is what must be done." She sounds neither excited nor repulsed by the notion, merely considering it a simple fact of course.

As they travel, Ta'de-win takes a moment to examine the rot of the trees, as well as the soil and the river, hoping to determine how well it may support fields. She relates what she knows of worgs as they travel. "Worgs are intelligent wolves, quite large. They often hunt in packs or with goblins. Or other such races. When they fight, they fight with cunning. We should be cautious."

We all follow different trails to bring ourselves here, perhaps there is more that can be told if we learn of the trail that he has walked. Perhaps he is indeed a vile man forcing others to do his bidding. Perhaps the Quillor do not know him as well as they believe they do. And perhaps he is a good man who has just chosen the wrong path and needs guidance."

Ta'de-win smiles at the young girl sitting next to her. "I do not wear dresses now, but I have in the past. They are most...uncomfortable though when running through the woods, climbing trees and rocks, and just exploring. More than a few embarrassments. So this is my preference. Dresses can be quite pretty though. It is not that I am trying to hide who I am though. But I'll think on the hat still."

Giving her a smile, she laughs a bit at the mention of Furiel, "I'm afraid I have no children yet. Perhaps I'll consider finding a mate and raising a few in the future, when we can relax for a while. Furiel is a gnome and quite probably older than I am. Possibly older than your parents."
