I did a bit more digging on Solomon Kane. According to the directors site (link) they started filming in January and were due to finish in April (i.e. now). Depending on post-production, they could very well have it out by the end of the year. It'll be interesting to see.

Rise of the Runelords might be a good place to start. It is, after all, the original Pathfinder brand product.

Happy Birthday Erik!

I only just smurfing smurfed here, smurfit!

Yarp.

The potential extra bookkeeping for Barbarians does concern me a little (not to mention the irony of more bookkeeping for a class that is illiterate), but extra uses for Rage? Sign me up!

I'll agree with added usefulness for Heal, but I'm fresh out of useful ideas. The best I can come up with is incorperate the restore hit points aspects of the d20 Modern "Treat Injury" skill (which is basically the same thing): DC15, restore 1d4, useable once per day, requires medikit (healer's kit?).

Or it may be the first week of May, which is really only next week.

Coming soon: The Gen-clone Wars!

Ah, come on! Let's put on the tinfoil hats:

1) WotC is demanding that 3rd party publishers still using 3.5 not be allowed to attend GenCon. It's either all 4E or WotC will not attend.

2) Just like they killed Dragon/Dungeon, WotC is going to launch their own convention. They'll tell us where and when it is but that's it. "Trust us! Our convention will be totally cool, nothing like those old lame conventions you used to attend."

3) WotC will handle their own event registration for GenCon. You'll have to be a DDI subscriber to register for an event. Event registration will occur on the Gleemax forums.

4) WotC is demanding different color pages. If you register for a 3.5 event, you get a scarlet badge. Those with scarlet pages will not be allowed to play 4E events.

5) WotC decide in 5-8 years time that they need a completely new convention to fix all the precieved problems with their current con. A smaller company with a loyal fanbase continues the current convention, however, with some small tweaks. Repeat process from step 1.

I like tinfoil hats!

Star Wars Clone Wars - apparently a movie and a 30 minute tv series following the movie's release.

And, it looks like Anakin's padawan is in the movie. *shrug*

Link

I stand corrected. Which means, assuming both are considered cannon, that Anakin had two students in his lifetime. Not bad for a man who only lived to be 45.

I won't mind seeing most of those.

Quantum of Solace (AKA Bond 22) is due in November according to Hoyts,com.au. Then again they've already got dates for June 2010, so take it how you wish.

As for Clone Wars... I dunno. I don't have a lot of faith in George Lucas these days. I haven't heard anything about the plot but...

All I know plot-wise is that Anakin had a previously unknown apprentice/padawan of his own. She will be revealed in the movie.

I'm pretty sure that is the plot of The Force Unleashed, a multi-platfrom video game which WOTC is also being releasing as a suppliment for Star Wars Saga. Of course, that is speciffcally Darth Vader so I could be wrong.

And just to give everyone something else to think about, I understand there is a Solomon Kane film due out this year...

Awww, damn. May. Oh well, these things happen I guess. I'm just glad I had the forsight to get the UPS delivery option. 1 week Australian delivery FTW!

I'm gnashing my teeth in anticipation for my copy of this book. Of course, seeing as I decided to save on shipping by bundling it with the Gazetteer and the fact I live in Australia, I might be waiting a little while. But HEY! Good things are worth waiting for.

I'm particularly anxious to see the Pathfinder take on the Lizardfolk. They've always been a favorite.

An Aberrant-Bloodline sounds...kinda frightening. Not just in terms of their potential powers, but also the implication of what happened several generations back.

"Yeah, my Granddaddy was Cthulhu's second cousin. He and my Grandma got drunk at the same party and well, y'know how these things happen."

....cool! Sounds like a character for next time!

I'll add my Happy Birthday to the mix, too. To the future of community-friendly RPGs! *clink*

Your best bet for print copies is probably e-bay. I've had the first three books since I was a kid and always craved getting the remaining three. About a year ago this became an obsession so I scoured every op-shop and second hand bookshop. Eventully I tried an e-bay search and was lucky enough to find someone who was selling a complete set! So you never know your luck.
