Absolutely not

Epic levels do wonders to ruin a game's dynamic.
If I had more time right now, I'd explain why.

Honestly, lv 20 needs to be the maximum peak for any race/character.

Paper minis aren't bad for NPCs ^^

It's better than using gum drops for random goblins
and cans of mountain dew for large sized creatures

I have always been partial to dwarves myself, and as for class i have always liked paladins, and that pretty much goes for any system, or game.

3.5 Elan and Goliath, for the pure statistical advantages

if you're talking role-playing, I always love Humans the best

I can't help think that if you'd just set this AP further south in Riddleport we could have had a proper Pirates vs. Ninja battle. :D

Characters drawn by Wayne Reynolds get a +2 CR for absolutely no reason.

Gotta love Reaper

My wife asked me about this as she was drawing up her new PC. Seems she was looking a dumping Dex and figured this would be cute. So, if a Player states her PC is visibly pregnant (that would be "with child") and role plays it to the max (I can see some fun times at the tables ahead) can she just stay that way? I mean, as far as I can tell, time away from the table is kind of abstract so ... how long can she be "in a family way".

I told her she could always have her PC take a few month off to have the kid, develope the condition again and go adventuring again. Kind of odd thou, having a PC who only adventures when she is 5+ months along.

Anyway - just wanted to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

That's.... odd :) Could definitely be amusing.

I don't think there's anything in the rules about it, but I can see a GM coming up with some extra obstacles for the party as a result.

Also, in a "real" medieval society... really, in any society, she'd be strongly encouraged to avoid putting herself (and the baby) in danger if it's at all avoidable. What's her rationale for going out and risking both lives adventuring while she's preggers?

Just put a pause on your current game and run a temporary module for the other players. Use it as a good time to try something new.

It all depends on the situation

Generally, classes that know many spells but must prepare spells are ultimately more effective in the end. The more diverse spell selection allows for more versatile spell preperation to adapt to situations.

Spontaneous casters eventually get screwed in the end, always.
It sucks when you (don't have the spell you need)

Also, most ridiculous class combo possible is anything involving bard imo

Grand Lodge

Sounds like a crazy endeavour
G'Luck with that ><

Terori Monk requires an immediate fix
This archetype has holes in it from beginning to end

Part of the problem is just that a higher crit range is better than a higher multiplier in most people's minds (especially when it comes to crit feats).

A cool solution would be to add feats that work off of a weapons higher critical multiplier. Prerequisites would be something like; Weapon focus in selected weapon, weapon has a critical multiplier of x3 or higher.

Honestly it's all balanced in terms of *weapons*, manufactured that is.

The big imbalance issue comes in with natural attacks being chained with: Improved Natural Attack and Vital Striking.
It's even worse if the character using these is a Monk.

Honestly (manufactured) weapons do need to be more powerful than unarmed strikes and other forms of natural attacks but in my opinion, the weapons do not need an increase in power. It's the natural attacks that need a nerf.

It would help alot if Vital Strike was defined as (only works with manufactured weapons and never with monk unarmed striking)

3 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

I was wondering if the Tetori Monk has any official errata as of yet, it desperately needs it. Anyone Anyone ?
