Merreck Greenbottle wrote: Ok, I've sort of lost track of what's going on. What's going on? Dragon charged us, shrunk, and plummeted to the ground at the base of the cylinder that we all stand upon. There is some type of time rift opening up (above us, I think), Valessa knows something about it. Dragon is still alive several tens of feet below us. And Beren really sucks with a bow. Sari d'Deneith wrote: "It really just fell down? Well now what do we do?" Sari says as she peers over the edge looking for the beast trying to determine where to send her next arrow to? I don't have a clue as to what to do I believe that the Dragon is visible, so if you like, use your bow. Also, remember, if you failed your spot check before, you can roll again. I believe DC 10. Brick manages to keep his feet as the Dragon swoops by and slashes the Warforged with it deadly claws. As the Dragon flies past, it convulses, shrinks, and falls. As if unhurt, Brick walks over to the edge of the column and looks down for a moment. He turns back to his companions and says, "It fall down." Sari's turn Dragonmann wrote: Somebody play Brick's turn already... My bad. Been down and out with a sinus infection. Still groggy but more coherent than the last few days. Brick continues to look down at the sword trying to calm and soothe it with words, "Please don't cry. We will leave here soon, and then you can see the sun." He completely ignores the Dragon. Rokko turns in shock at the sight of a living Jyra. "Just keep fighting the Dragon lass and we'll consider us even. Goblin's Honor." Getting back to business, Rokko turns back to the Wyrm, lifts his crossbow, "Aim for the 'Scaly One', Rokko me boy," and fires. Using an Action Point ... Crossbow Attack (Roll 4+6-4+3=9) I definitly could be incorrect, but I think that Brick's action for this round was to heal himself. He just acted before the Dragon instead of after. I believe that it should be Merreck's turn to finish the round. (Did Valessa Act in this round?) Then a new round starts with the Dragon, Brick usually follows (which should be his first round of climbing, already posted). Then we should be back to the correct Initiative Order. Again, I could be way off. I believe we are all on the pillar or at least on the ramp up to the pillar. Brick is in melee with the Mind Flayer. Ruuz is on the ground, recently healed by Merrick who is kneeling beside him. Rokko, is still on the ramp, but very close to the top of the pillar. Sari and Beren are on the pillar. They just chased Jrya to the corner. The Key (Dragon) got hit by the Flayer's Mind Blast and slammed into the edge of the pillar before falling to the ground. At least, this is how my mind's eye sees it. Any discrepancies? Rokko watches Jyra withdraw from combat with Sari and Beren. The Goblin's mouth opens wide in a toothy, salivating smile as he lifts his crossbow toward the lone Dragonmarked woman, "Oh Jrya, I hear there will be an opening at Morgrave soon." Rokko lets the bolt fly toward his target. Using an Action Point … Light Crossbow Attack (Roll 1+6+1+6=14), Damage (Roll 5) Valessa's turn “Ah, so that’s where the Warforged was this whole time. Glad he could join us,” Rokko says quietly to himself in a snooty manner as Brick lumbers to the top of the pillar. Turning his gaze back to the air, the proud Goblin watches the Dragon’s path and starts the incantation and gesture for his next spell. “Let’s see if this works better, my scaly nemesis.” Readies an action to Cast Lesser Orb of Acid when the Dragon is in range Using an Action Point … Ranged Touch Attack (Roll 7+6+2+1=16), Damage (Roll 3+6=9) Ruuz’s go Rokko, still invisible, watches the Dragon circle the chamber. ‘Those wings are misshapen and barely seem to hold it up. Let me think. Aha, maybe gravity will be my ally’ , Rokko thinks and plots to himself. Rummaging through his scrolls, he pulls out one and prepares to read it when the Dragon gets close. Readying an action to use a Ray of Enfeeblement Scroll on the Dragon when it is in range. Rokko hopes that with a reduced Strength, it will have trouble flying and simply drop out of the air. Using an Action Point … Ranged Touch Attack (Roll 16+6+1+5=28) Strength Penalty (Roll 3+2=5) Ruuz, whip her back. Just don’t let Sari see … Sorry for the delay Rokko looks up at the Mind Flayer as it activates the key far above, “Well, I guess Goblins have to save the world, once again. Gotta get closer.” Rokko starts to pump his legs up the stairs running as fast as he can. Moved from III L22 to III G04 Spot Check (Roll 1+0=1) Ruuz is up on 5 If Rokko hasn't posted by tomorrow, I will put a post together. Sorry for the inconvenience, it has been a busy day today. If anyone feels inclined, my plan was to move him ahead, and if he was in range, throw a 'Lesser Acid Orb' at the Mind Flayer. At least I think that spell is available. Yeah, busy today and no rule books in sight for the spell. If need be, Rokko could also delay and let the next player go. Merreck fears his diplomatic effort is in jeopardy of failing. After a good start, he watches Sari reach for the sword and attempt to overpower the blade. "Uh, Sword? Ok, I know how this looks, but you are making a lot of noise. This noise will bring back those bad guys who imprisoned you in the first place. If you let us put you back in YOUR scabbard, we will carry you out of here and find out how to help you." Merreck hopes that his diplomatic efforts will allow Sari to put the sword back in its scabbard without further conflict. Ruuz is up next.
