Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sorry I've been fairly bed ridden, starting to feel better now though, I think my number is 50788 but I'm not sure what the hyphened number Luccinus has, am I lacking it because this is my first PFS character?

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Since a bit of a combat round might still be occuring I'll wait for confirmation I've woken up before I do anything more

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Yeah I'm guilt of that too, apologies

Male Human Paladin/ 1

For me it has to be my dump stat, I mean I need Cha, Str, Dex for my combat potential and I don't dare dump Con or Int since I need as many HP as possible and I have so few skills as is :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Faint snores can be heard rising from Sohali's limp body, his face half resting in a fetid pool of spilt refuse discarded in the narrow alley.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Yep, I'll move forward to H1 and put my shot into W.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Oh, and would you like me to retake my turn or leave it as the one I jotted down earlier? I don't mind either way since my roll earlier was good but now some extra stuff has been happening :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

I'm still more familiar with 3.5 myself, Pathfinder throws me curves with some of its changes, not in a bad way but I'll be expecting a rules to work a certain way and then BAM, something completely different.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali Draws his bow and nocks an arrow before letting it fly at the Halfling with the evil moustache.

Bow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d8 ⇒ 6

Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Dealing what appears to be a decent ammount of damage to the irrate little man with the large axe.

Oh, and I know this is out of sync but I don't want to slow the game if I'm sleeping later so I'll put this up. If the halfling is downed before I fire I'll aim at the most threatening person not in melee or at the closest person in melee if I have to fire into melee.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Nah, I'm done asking questions and am ready to move on when everyone else is.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

I'm filled with envy, I love Japan but I'm too poor to travel :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

I've had my couple of verbal swipes at her and have a decent idea what I'll report to the boss "She isn't evil but she's an alcho and she's willing to use scrolls to heal random strangers, it seems harmless enough but someone who needs regular donations from charity can't afford to be charitable, there was a reason she used the scroll to befriend us and someone with nothing to hide doesnt need to buy our affection." at least thats what I have roughly. Oh, and something set my evil-dar off slightly but I had no reason to tear up someone elses home to look for old hate mail.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

No problem with weekends being slow, just means I'll refresh a little slower

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"Excuse me Madam but I have a question before we leave" Sohali says while standing in the kitchen "My companion Vermin was attacked by some small beasts and indeed seemed to have been suffering from an affliction which you seem to have reversed. My question is thusly, why when children are lying still sick in your home would you waste such a scroll on a complete stranger rather than one of your wards?"

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Nah, I'd be more worried about my alignment slipping since I'm aiming to be a fairly pragmatic Paladin just to prove that Paladins can be fun in a party.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Wow, I've gone up something like twenty posts today, this is fast for a PbP :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

The detect evil is bugging me now, because asides from that I think this is a red herring, we're meant to suspect her :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Well "Blight" and "Foul Spirit" could refer to her and I could "exorcise" her from the home with the flat of my blade. Also "will possibly be cursed unto death" well alcoholism can kill :) I did my best to be ambiguous in my choice of wording

Luccinus de Concorezio wrote:
Nothing I said here is a lie :)Its black on white truth.

I was careful to not to directly lie either, I'm just not that good at spinning a more "honest" sounding misappropriation of the truth since I have baddy wisdom.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali seems genial enough and smiles towards the lady before suddenly freezing with a look of terror on his face.

“My dear Lady Pharasma” Sohali exclaims “Lady Baltwin I am a holy man of Pharasma and I can sense a darkness in this home. Some foul spirit has taken up residence, allow me to enter, find the location of this blight and perform an exorcism to lay it to rest. If I do not do this thing you will possibly be cursed unto death before even another moon cycle has passed”.

Sohali might be laying it on a bit thick so Diplomacy 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Bah, I hadn't reread it in a while and you're right, only thing it makes me ask is why it's a level one ability for Paladins then. I mean yay, I have the ability to detect if I should crap my pants until at least, what, level 3 :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"Good afternoon Gilga Baltwin" Sohali stands as he greets the appearance of the proprietor of the orphanage "I was just being instructed in this game of "Marbles" and conversing with the children".

I know it’s a crutch but I’m going to scan her with detect evil as long as she doesn’t have a lead sheet in front of her :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

My gods... We need a squad of my brothers and a cleric to put that thing back to rest

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"...and thats how I saw a tiefling be conceived in gore on a bed of limbs..." my gods what are you telling them Luccinus!

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali ponders what may cause the orphanage's patron to send the children out during the day. Hopefully for some kind of apprenticing and not as a group of cutpurses. The latter seemed unlikely though, it would be much too stereotypical for them to be used in such a manner.

"Keeping a maker of fine whiskey in business does not sound good I must admit" Sohali says once the group is away from the people they were interviewing once again.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

No problem

Male Human Paladin/ 1

In PFS I have a 1st Level Paladin... That is all :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sorry my hours have been funky the last few days with heavy-ish work and late nights :P Did you want me to take the lead on the Diplomacy rolling? I also have a lack of local knowledge.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"Thank you Lady Ollysta, it will be our pleasure to take these supplies to the orphanage an I will personally talk with this Gilga Baltwin to ascertain their character.” Sohali says with a slight bow of the head. From his tone and manner you believe that Sohali is a little humbled to be in the presence of such a prestigious member of a Paladin Order.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Comes from growing up in the desert :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Knowledge Check 1d20 ⇒ 7

Edit: Well I'm no sailor it seems

Male Human Paladin/ 1

How hard could it be? "...and that was the last time you saw Sohali as the boat drifted out to sea."

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Heh, it'd be too much work running two game for me but then again I'm lazy by nature :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

”Worry not my compatriots, I the incredibly talented Sohali shall go fetch the boat and move it under the warehouse to help prevent the possible damage of property in the case that the floor shall give way” Sohali says after collecting his arrows from the carcass of the rat "Sadly my knowledge of medical practices are lacking". Holding the dead vermin for a moment he considers mumbling a quick prayer over its death but decides against it, Pharasma would likely be more offended then pleased by a prayer for a rat’s soul.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali hops back a few paces as the rat approaches, his robes flapping with the motion as he draws another arrow to fire at the little beast.

Our GM has some kind of crystal ball action going on, Sohali is going to take a step back to S5 and then take another shot at the wounded rat. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15, 1d8 ⇒ 3

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Apologies on the lack of posting today, my internet is being a bastard and dropping out on me a lot. I'm getting a guy to come have a look at it tomorrow so hopefully that'll help but if you need to bot me to keep the actions flow going feel free.

Edit: Also I have to agree on the Kingmaker game, think its the shortest pbp I've been in. About four posts from the GM :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali seeing the rats springing out from amongst the debris in the warehouse quickly spins on the spot and looses the arrow he had held drawn. Aiming for one of the beasts furthest from the group he misses widely and burrows an arrow in the warehouse's wall.

Sorry, long day and my internet has been crapping out on me, not sure why. So I’m aiming to fire an arrow at the rat at X5. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14,1d8 ⇒ 2.

Edit: I presume I've missed :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"Perhaps if I was a man of lesser morals and I was willing to participate in the recovery of the box and the content it contains I would suggest that we would "borrow" the boat tied to the pier and bring it under the box on the chance that the floor collapses" Sohali says looking more than a little embarrassed to be suggesting something that aids in what might be robbery.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Sohali follows slightly behind the general group his bow once again drawn and an arrow nocked ready for action. His pace is slow and it is easy to tell that he is a little uneasy with the idea of breaking and entering even if it is for a just cause.

Going to move to N4 to try and take advantage of the boxes as cover while watching the warehouse for movement, whole readied action schtick again since it seems to be an alright idea :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Heh, apologies, I know it's way too much of a debatable issue but I'm basically going to play it that way, Good outweighs Law and if anyone has a problem with it just let me know and I'll see what I can do to fix any problems with the playstyle (Basically if you think I'm too lax on the Code give me a word here or PM and let me know).

Male Human Paladin/ 1

For a bit of a side divergence though, what do you guys think of Lawful Good Paladins, and by that I'm addressing the dichotomy of being both Lawful and Good with the addition of the Paladin Code. Basically my problem stems from being both Lawful and having a Code that you must follow where the Paladin apparently has to become Chaotic to follow his code so as to not become anything other than Lawful Good. What do I mean by the idiotic wording of the previous sentence, okay suppose I’m a Paladin of Iomedae and I see some guys being captured as slaves, according to the Code I have to help them or risk losing my Paladin powers, yet I must also remain Lawful and Good to also retain my powers. What happens to me if I see the slaves being mistreated in say Cheliax (since slavery is legal there), according to Faiths of Purity I have to either save the slaves no matter the situation or save three groups of saves within a short period (GM Defined) to atone for not getting my party murdered.
How do Paladins stay sane when they travel through an Evil country since they have to be both Lawful and Heroic at the same time?

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Yeah I'm basically going with "You're not actively hurting anyone and it was a mission given to us by a "Good" organization so I'll look the other way for the greater good" at the moment since Sohali is fairly relaxed on Lawful Stupid.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"This does not seem to be the sort of work my vows would allow me to undertake" Sohali says with a slight bow "I do not curse or condone you but perhaps it would help my conscience if I were to go outside and study the rustic architecture"

Good to his word the Paladin quietly exists the shop and stands near the entrance studying the docks, apprently with a keen eye towards the architecture.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"There was a man in a store near the docks, a matter of a rare book or collection of rare books, shall that be our next destination?" Sohali asks, glad to be back out of the vault and under the warmth of the days sun. As he walks along the streets it is easily noted that he has left his bow strung for now but is carrying it harnessed to his back alongside the quiver of arrows.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Oh, I have no complaints here, this game is moving along quite well and none of us seem to have real troubles keeping up on the posts, I was just looking forward to kingmaker, I read it ages ago but haven't played through it before since I live so remote.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Wow, not having much hope for the Kingmaker game, it's being updated so slowly :P

Male Human Paladin/ 1

Am I the teams face with a +6 on Diplomacy? Seems a little sad if I am :)

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"We can only hope there is not yet another trick to this room" Sohali adds, keeping his bow drawn and a watchful eye on the room.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

"It seems that half our alloted time has passed" Sohali adds, keeping an arrow nocked as he watches over his allies.

Male Human Paladin/ 1

I am indeed, I had been wanting to play a game with a Pharasmin divine character or somekind and then after a few weeks I'm accepted into two game pretty much same day and now have a Pharasmin Cleric and Paladin :P
