So there isn't going to be a full-BAB/d10 class that's also a full caster (using the Sor/Wiz list) that gains an extra standard action each round so he can cast as a standard and full-attack in a single turn?

You can also go the old school route and use different XP tracks for the different classes. You can also link it to hit dice. d10 classes use the fast track, d8 classes use the medium track, and d6 classes use the slow track.

Again, I'm not a big fan of asian-themed stuff, but it certainly makes since for it to exist in Golarion and for Paizo to explore it some in their materials.
The thing I least look forward to is the "internet noise" that is bound to ensue when Paizo starts messing around with someone's beloved samurai and ninja and katanas aren't the most uber-awesomest weapons of the game. I mean, didn't WotC ban the mention of katanas on their forums for a while because the arguments got so out-of-hand? Stuff like that detracts from the otherwise awesome community atmosphere here and severely damages my calm.

Well spellstrike doesn't give you a free attack just because you cast the spell. So going the spellstrike route you cast round 1, then attack round 2. Spellstrike is a great move if you can prep a spell and hold the charge or quicken your casting.
Yup. Since casting a spell is (usually) a standard action and making an attack is (at least) a standard action, at 1st level, it takes 2 rounds to spellstrike (cast round 1, strike round 2).
Spell combat lets you do both as a full-round action by taking a penalty to attack and making a spellcraft check. At 2nd level (up until 8th level, as you point out), this lets you effectively pull off 2 standard actions in a round. Once you hit 8th level, you can get a standard action plus a full-round attack in the same round.

Also it seems very odd to me that it gets a class feature that calls out touch-attack spells (Spellstrike), and it only gets four (yes, four) touch-range spells. :\
Jason mentioned in another thread that there are numerous touch spell in the UM, but that those spells weren't ready to go public today and won't appear until the magic system/spells portion of the playtest. However, they know this are have plans to beef the spell list. What's there is just what's available right now. more to come later. :)

I see your point. That said, I'll take 0% chance of Concentration failure over even a 5% chance of failure. Heck, you don't even have to roll the dice anymore.

I've done a good job staying out of this debate. Now that it's matured nicely, I'll throw my thoughts out there.
Oriental-themed RPG adventures/settings/source material never has "done it" for me. I just find it uninteresting. That said, I'm glad to see Paizo finally putting something out there for two reasons: 1) people have been asked for it ever since Ameiko showed up in AP1, and 2) once it's done, that will hopefully put at least some of the "OMG! samurais and ninjas!" clamor behind us.

Is there something wrong with people being on street level, and what is good about them being above the streets as opposed to them being under the streets?
Honestly though, I've never been to New York (City) and have no desire to ever go, so I really have to file it under "don't care."

I've also just discovered how much baby stuff costs! Booo!
Congrats!
One dad to another:
Spoiler:
There are only a few baby-related items that are worth the expense of buying brand new or unused. Obviously, pacifiers, bottles, etc. are "buy new" items. Carseats are also a "buy new" item (they are supposed to be retired after a crash, even a minor fender bender, so you never know the history of a used carseat. Most things (strollers, clothes, furniture) are perfectly viable when bought from consignments (and there are plenty of good, reputable, organized consignment sales for kid stuff out there).
Remember, every $1 you save can go straight into a college fund so that Baby Carborundum doesn't bleed you dry for college right as you're thinking about retirement!

Hypothetical situation: James Jacobs gets invited to a Pathfinder iconic-themed Halloween party. Due to PF's obvious lack of a Tyrannosaurus iconic, James is forced to dress as one of the other 18 iconics. Which should he dress as?
My preference, and solely for the irony of James' well-documented dislike for Dwarves: Harsk.

Epic level play cannot be adequately fixed without rebuilding the entire system (or using and entirely different system for Epic). It's simply an outgrowth of what starts at level 1 and continues through level 20.

I leave this to the discretion of individual GMs. At my table, with me as a GM, I would say no. But that's not a decision I'd make for the entire Society.
Is this, or will it be, written into the PFS Org Play guide? I'm just thinking that having this written in there somewhere would help back-up the judge(s) when a player gets fussy because they can't use their $500 iWhatsit in a con game.
The high-points:
* APA guidelines mention that it's unethical to discriminate based on religion and a whole bunch of other criteria such as race, gender, and sexual orientation or the harass/demean people based on those categories.
* Searching ACA brings up numerous articles promoting faith-based counseling (provided they adhere to the ethical guidelines, which are very similar to the APA's guidelines).
* The NASW guidelines are again similar to APA and ACA guidelines.

An open playtest would help. Especially if it had a long lead-time. The whole process would still be "flamey," but I think you'd get buy-in from lots of skeptics if they're drawn into the process.

It's a myth that there is one magic system used in Pathfinder. There are two.
Both use the spell slot mechanic. One fills his slots prior to casting the spell, while the other fills his slot at the instant the spell is cast. The other differences are "int he noise."

The problem is not the difficulty, it's that your using two seperate casting systems in one game to accomplish the same thing.
It's very similar to creating rules where Fighters, Barbarians, and Paladins use the d20 BAB mechanic for attacks, then saying that Ranger has to use the old THAC0 system.
They are two separate systems that accomplish basically the same thing but in very different ways with very different rules. There are undoubtedly people that prefer THAC0 to BAB, but mixing them would be a bad design decision. Same thing with spell slot magic and power point point psionics. Pick one, don't do both.

Why not use a dedicated Superhero game instead of shoe-horning PF into a supers game? I recommend BASH Ultimate Edition (BASH = "Basic Action Super Heroes"). It's good for what it is: a super hero game.

With regards to the pdf's, how does one easily print them?
If you're using Acrobat, when you click the "print" button to bring up the print dialogue box, click the "Advanced" button in the lower left corner, then check the "Print As Image" checkbox at the bottom of the Advnaced Option dialogue box. This *should* pre-flatten the pages and print a little faster.
Alternatively, and it's extra work, but you can use the snapshot tool to take a pickture of each page, save as a jpg (or whatever format you like, then print those. You might need to bump up your snapshot resolution to get the pages looking nicer, but it'll work.

Not sure what your issues are with facing...
My issues with facing are that it becomes another thing to keep track of, while simultaneously adding nothing useful to the game. It simply isn't worth the added bookkeeping, in my opinion.

Does that cost a move action to turn or do you just do it and roll for the strike?
Turning within your square is a free action because there are no facing rules in PF. Technically, there is no front, or behind, or either side. All that matters is that the opponent is in a square you threaten.

Paizo has said before that it was their experience that high-level stuff just didn't sell all that well. Looks like they're starting to flirt with higher level stuff. If that goes well, you might see some Epic rules in the future.
Personally, I wouldn't mind some guidelines in a future book for statting up something like a 23rd level Sorcerer to throw against a higher level party. I don't think it requires an entire new ruleset though.

Would you pay $100 for it?
No. I would much rather that Paizo spend their energy and talent on creating new, original material rather than revisiting something older and slapping new window-dressing on it. PFRPG and OGL are close enough mechanics-wise that an "update" isn't really warranted.
I'm not opposed to this happening eventually, but I would much rather the AP be 6, 8, or (better yet) 10 years old before it gets a retread.

What caught your eye about TB to make the nomination?
I thought it was a really nicely done analysis of 3.5 OGL and it has a ton of good rule suggestions. Given that 3.5 (and its derivative games like Pathfinder) are still very popular, I thought Trailblazer was a good product to shine some attention on in the hopes that folks that might have otherwise missed it will have a chance to check it out.

You were a judge, Skeld?
Yes. Skeld; aka Mark Green. I was a judge for the 2010 ENnies season and I've been re-elected for the 2011 season.
Trailblazer was my pick. Each judge got to high-light one product that otherwise wasn't up for an award, but that we individually thought needed some attention.
Skeld(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules, Battles Case Subscriber)
My guess (and it's strictly a guess) is that nominations/wins help smaller press products. Wins probably don't bump larger-scale products noticeably, but i could be wrong.

It's funny that when this thread first popped up, i had to bite my tongue because I had chosen Trailblazer from Badaxe Games as my "Judge's Pick" for the ENnies this year.
Glad to see peole have been talking about it here and at EW. It's a very handy product for OGL'ers.

We're more likely to ditch using color ink than ditch the ads. Abandoning an opportunity to let tens of thousands of people know that there are other books they can buy if they like the one they just bought is just not an option.
I know, James. I just felt compelled to pass it on. It is, after all, the least useful part of the book to a great many of us.
But I do understand why the ads are there and how they'll likely always be there.
