About Skeld

I started gaming in 1985 when I bought the Red Box Beginner's Set with my lawnmowing money. I've been gaming ever since.

I usually DM. With my current group (15+ years together), I've GM'ed the following:
Tales of the Dales, a homebrew Forgotten Realms mish-mash of unlinked 2e, 3e, and homespun adventures, culminating with the City of the Spider Queen adventure.
Savage Tide Adventure Path from Dungeon Magazine #139-150.
Dawn of Defiance, a modifed adventure path for Star Wars Saga Edition.
The Price of Immortality trilogy (Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God, & City of Golden Death), modified for monster PCs.
The Dragon's Demand, which I ran in a slightly modified form while we were taking a break from Rise of the Runelords.
Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path was the last campaign I ran. I began with the original 3.5e AP, but switched over to the Anniversary Edition after Chapter 2: The Skinsaw Murders. After 4.5 years, my party defeated Karzoug the Claimer and there was much rejoicing.

I'm currently playing (!) in justaworm's Thornkeep game and taking a little break from GM'ing.
My current Thornkeep character is: Cassus Cailean (Orphaned Male Human Cleric of Cayden Cailean)
I've been warned to expect death, so I have a back up character: Herger the Joyous (Ulfen Male Skald 2 [Spell Warrior])

Once Thornkeep is finished, I hope to ease back into GM'ing with a module or other short adventure to test out some new rule variants. After that, I'll run another ap. On my short list of APs to run in the future:
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Second Darkness (If I run this, I'll convert it to a Star Wars SE AP.)
Legacy of Fire
Shattered Star
Reign of Winter
Wrath of the Righteous (As lightly Mythic, or non-Mythic.)
Mummy's Mask
Iron Gods
Strange Aeons (I like the premise, so I'll see when it comes out.)

I don't play nearly as much as I GM, but these are some PC ideas I have for the future:
Skeld the Superstitious (Male Human Bard Archaeologist)
Shaewyn (Female Human Kellid Ranger Witchguard)
Iru Aru (Female Human Fighter Archer)
Nigel Worthington III, Esq. (Male Human Occultist)

In 2010 & 2011, I had the opportunity to serve as a Judge for the ENnies Awards. It was a really neat process and I'm glad I volunteered and was elected. However, it is definitely one of those situations where "people that like sausage should never visit a sausage factory," if you know what I mean.
