Simon looks bleary. He clearly didn't sleep well. As he reaches for the kettle on the fire, a shadowy tendril slides out of his sleeve and breifly wraps around the handle next to his hand before sliding back into his sleeve again. He sighs and pours the water into his mug of tea.

Simon whistles sharply and waits for his horse to come trotting back from wherever he's run off to when he was shunted out of his body. About thirty seconds later the large friesian stallion came trotting back. The big beast seemed hesitant at first, taking it's time to check on it's rider. It chuffed at Simon's ribs. Simon sighed. "Yeah, I know. I don't like it either but we're going to have to get used to it. I'm still me." The horse seemed satisfied and Simon mounted up to follow the group.

"F*%&!" Simon swears, yanking back as the hooded figure comes back to life for a moment and grabs his boot. He relaxed from his defensive crouch as the man collapses again and whirls to check on Kiwyn and the child. "No time! Something about the stone is effecting her!" Simon snarls, running up and snatching the bag and moving away from the child. "Get her clear of it!" Simon is hoping that it's a proximity thing, but he doesn't have the Heal skill. Zhan, maybe you can get her farther away and try to diagnose what's wrong?

Away from the others as final preparations to leave are made, Simon catches Zhan. Zahn: "Keep an eye on the child. I don't trust that she isn't some kind of elaborate ruse or trap by this Brotherhood. They seem the sorts that would have no qualms about using a child as a contingency plan in the event that anyone survived their attack on the town."

I don't think leveling up is actually as much of a reward as some people do. It's a power increase but it doesn't change much about how the story unfolds, and if it isn't earned as part of the story it kinda feels hollow. I think getting the story moving would be a great reward though. :)

Meridian says wait, so we'll wait. It's better if the decision is as unanimous as possible. Meridian, let us know when you feel like we've waited long enough. If Silverbane doesn't come back, we can make a Recruitment thread and see if any GMs like the concept enough to pick it up and run with it.

Well, we have a couple options. A) One of us could take over the game (shooting an email to paizo's webmaster to take over the thread) b) We could advertise for a new GM on the Recruitment boards c) We give up on the game, stop posting, and wait 3 months for the game to automatically go to inactive. If Silverbane comes back before then, whoever's still with us can pick up where we left off. Thoughts?
