About Sillitta Ederus

The daughter of well-to-do Chelaxian merchants (i.e. slavers) in Absalom, Sillitta Ederus was a pampered child, demanding as much from her parents as from the household slaves. Between tantrums, Sillita did demonstrate curiosity and intelligence, so at the age of eighteen, she was enrolled in Egorian's arcane academy. Sillitta gravitated naturally toward the study of conjuration and summoning, excelling in these fields at the expense of necromancy and transmutation.

During the course of her studies, Sillitta attempted to steal an iron brazier used in the summoning of devils and elementals from one of her professors. Caught in the act, Sillitta was transformed by the angry wizard into a halfling, expelled from the school, and returned to her parents. Uncertain what to do with their now halfling daughter, Sillita's parents did what any true Chelaxians would do; they disowned Sillitta and turned her over to a couple of older halfling slaves to teach her about her new station in life.

Toiling as a maid-of-all-work in her own home, Sil slowly became comfortable with her new body ("I have hairy feet. Ewwww, gross."), her chores, even the halflings who she now considered family and friends. Despite her newfound happiness, Sil longed to once again wield arcane power. She sat up late, long after the day's work should have forced her to bed, struggling to recreate her lost spellbook, but ultimately could recall only a simple spell for reading magical script. Fate finally intervened on Sil's behalf. During a feast to welcome her younger sister (and now mistress) back from Egorian's arcane academy, Sil and several of her halfling cohorts were liberated by a band of Andoran abolitionists. Sil siezed upon the opportunity to steal her sister's spellbook before escaping with her adoptive halfling parents and the Andorans.

Now free and homeless, Sil is keeping a low profile about Absalom. She has mastered the spell's in her stolen spellbook and been introduced to the Pathfinder Socety by her Andoran liberators, but is too afraid to take any jobs that might draw unwanted attention to herself or her adoptive parents.
