Gm_Chris - agreed. When looking at the latest exchange I started to wonder if my perception about Dryant's frequent needling and instigating were perhaps not as one sided as they felt. But reading 78 pages + 5 from recruitment was really tedious, since I included urls for each instigation/response in my notes.
Round 1, init 13, move to Z27 Silfr swiftly uses lay on hands healing 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage.
Since Dryant webbed the place he won't bring out the bow but instead will make his way towards the goblin access staircase one, by way of Z-27. Silfr has darkvision when synthesized. Somehow the majority wanted to investigate if the goblins but instead we went the other direction into an ambush. It is like a vampire muddles our thoughts. status:
HP 21/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 23 mage armor , CMD 18 F +9, R +6, W +12 1/3 spells, 0/1 smite (smite AC +5), 4/6 lay on hands Wand mage armor 48/50
Re Painlord complaining about meta-gaming....

Oh Dryant thinks he physically interacts with Silfr moments after we are all keyed up from combat and chasing vampires? (Well some of us chased vampires, others tried to recreate the Twlight movie franchise). I think what really happens is Dryant goes around to pat Silfr's on the back while the paladin is considering that magic weapon oil will last only a minute. Before making his condescending comment, Dryant is instead surprised to find his provokative action intercepted as he is pushed away. Far away. CMD +7 vs CMD 11 (10 -2 from str, +3 from dex) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Silfr will dramatically push Dryant just 10 or the possible 15 feet on the move and not follow. "Keep your wizardling hands away from me, you charlatan. Glitterdust's provenance is with arcane casters, and no clerical domain grants that conjuration. I want none of your lies, spells or physical affections." If Dryant wants to have those "droll" comments happen next he can of course do what he wishes... so long as he doesn't interact with my character and you don't narrate my characters actions or choices.
Finneas Glenn wrote: "We should follow him. We should follow him right Silfr? Which way did he go Glimmil?" "Oh, absolutely. We have him on the run." After Dryant has finished gibbering like a goon, Silfr adds "How nice your angel provided a useful scroll. I look forward to appreciating this exultant when it shows up and help track down vampires." To the group, he proposes a course of action. "We have no reason to think this creature floated downward. It could easily be hiding behind evil minions, such as perhaps the teifling and goblins. We should go east and see if the goblins screen their master's resting place."
Round 4, init 3 Now that Silfr is outside the magic circle, he obeys the compulsion of domination and attacks Dyrant, dropping the silversheen to really get a strong two handed swing and do some damage... zzz.. Oh! I was having the most wonderful dream... I'll work on my round 4 post once I see about the grapple.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt wrote: "I should be happy to call you master, if your face did not look like the putrefied husk of an insect." A strange comment. Is he confessing something? Silfr casts The Able Attentuation of Activity (Shield). Mage armor should still be running per Toffit Silfr will move diagnoally to Z,11 so he is with Finneas and Doc. I shouldn't have wasted that smite earlier saving the toffee... forgot the vampire was real and not a figment of Dryant's imagination status:
HP 19/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 23 mage armor , CMD 18 F +9, R +6, W +12 1/3 spells, 0/1 smite (smite AC +5), 5/6 lay on hands Wand mage armor 48/50
Round 2, init 18 Silfr will move forward to Z11 and smite the tiefling. Greatsword smite 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 272d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 3) + 2 = 10 Assuming he was evil, otherwise smite was wasted. Ignores DR. AC +5 vs smite target "Violent evil must be countered with equal violence by the good!"
Dryant is so blood thirsty! We do not know these are opponents, explorers, or under the compulsion of other enemies. Silfr will concentrate and Detect Evil. Knowledge: Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 What magic is now being unleashed thanks to the brash attack? "Wait! Before we engage in mutual slaughter, pray parley, all of you, We have no cause for conflict with these two! Perhaps our goals are aligned!" Though now Dryant's brash threats and Finneas's attack have given cause to them. Silfr is not ready to murder some strangers simply becauase they happen to be underground (like our own party).
Can we get a GM call on Dryant's last in-character post? It sounds like he is pantomiming, which is a perform skill, which in turns references the bard performance ability, a standard action. So he only has a move left to draw his bow, and can't load it as well. Also he should make his skill roll rather than assume the goblins understand his bizarre gestures, since they might find them related to dogs and so deeply offensive.
Round 2, init 20 Rather than swap wand for sword... Silfr will strike out at the two goblins in front of him with armor-enhanced fists. Biped Eidolon comes with two claw natural attacks Claw1 vs Gob1 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Round 1, init 20 They really hate dogs, don't they. I don't remember how long ago I cast mage armor but it has probably been an hour. Silfr will draw and use his wand of Mage Armor. status:
HP 19/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 19 mage armor , CMD 18 F +9, R +6, W +12 2/3 spells, 1/1 smite (smite AC +5), 5/6 lay on hands Wand mage armor 48/50
Provokes, did you say? Greatsword 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 272d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17 Fortunate indeed that the Eyes of the Overworld in my armor provide darkvision Round 2, Init 3 Silfr will ready to attack any foe that approaches. status:
HP 19/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 19 mage armor , CMD 18 F +9, R +6, W +12 2/3 spells, 1/1 smite (smite AC +5), 5/6 lay on hands
Surprise Round "On your guard! Monsters attempting to sneak up on poor Atol!" Greatsword vs flier 3 in S37 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 202d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13 Perhaps these were the evil things Cog & Glimmil detected. Free action after Dryant's count:
status:
HP 19/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 19 mage armor , CMD 18 F +9, R +6, W +12 2/3 spells, 1/1 smite (smite AC +5), 5/6 lay on hands
Not content to watch Dryant and Cog drool longingly for old chicken bones, Silfr will be on guard and scout the immediate cave area while staying in sight of the party. "With my augmented eyesight I shall peer down the cave passage way to the east. I will not be long, if you wish to continue your climbing attempts instead of exploring this basement realm." Silfr will move to R36, where he should be able to see the group Cog is leading at the base of area 8. His darkvision will let him see into the area marked 18. Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Finneas Glenn wrote:
"Finneas, no one can fault your technique and climbing strength, but I feel you should be mindful that you are attempting a free climb in an unknown dark cave without gear, while distracted by the potential for surprise attack." "So do not let this wall shadow your morale, working together and inspired by your persistence, we will find and vanquish what evils remain in this delve." Diplomacy pep talk to Finneas 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 Well I tried :)
Also we are under room 8, cave side. Wall is 25'. "This wall Dryant attempts to scale appears to be as tall as a two story building. We have been descending in this cave since we entered, to a significant degree. Let us return to the room we fought the goblin horde and see if the eastern door and southern passage beyond connects to the room above." The fellow has all the wall climbing ability of a Dachshund.
"As amusing as Dryant's climbing attempts may be, charging through a cave with a dog as our leader chasing the unseen cannot be the model of wise adventure actions." "Dryant, where is that angel you are always muttering about? Now would be the time to whistle it up from St. Cuthbert's realm. The invisible vampire should be no match to such a divine potentate." Maybe it will share any chicken bones with Dryant and Cog as well.
"So who actually saw this vampire you speak of? How can we be sure that Cog is not simply chasing the smell of chicken bones or goblin dogs?" Silfr will also detect magic and evil in an attempt to find what everyone is so wound up about. Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 on alcove...nope.
Doctor Abner Svengalu Toffitt wrote:
Silfr looks around the room, noting exits to the north, northeast, east, west, and beyond the corridor north again and south. "We have many avenues for exploration, once we examine this room and take stock of our situation. Is anyone wounded? I suggest we look in the previous room west and then the corridor at the base of the stairs, where goblins boiled forth from the northerly direction." Silfr will detect magic and look about the room, though he remains on guard and is not checking ever corpse for stray coppers. Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
GM_Chris wrote:
Silfr will go through the NE door, close his eyes as he walks through the mirrored hall, open the secret panel and move the lever to the down (off position). With the muck golem disabled he will go through the far door and snatch the emerald from its mucky hands.
Round 13, init 20 "Don't worry Toffitt, Glimmil and I are here to assist you." This guy is a real pusher of his chemical concoctions. Greatsword bless 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 282d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13 Not sure which gobo will be up on my count, but this should hit even one with partial cover. Shield spell drops status:
