When looking at the latest exchange I started to wonder if my perception about Dryant's frequent needling and instigating were perhaps not as one sided as they felt.

But reading 78 pages + 5 from recruitment was really tedious, since I included urls for each instigation/response in my notes.

Silfr swiftly uses lay on hands healing 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage.
Another 7 will be healed at init 1, for net 2 healing some old wounds.

Since Dryant webbed the place he won't bring out the bow but instead will make his way towards the goblin access staircase one, by way of Z-27. Silfr has darkvision when synthesized.

Somehow the majority wanted to investigate if the goblins but instead we went the other direction into an ambush. It is like a vampire muddles our thoughts.

status:

HP 21/23 real + 1/7temp, AC 23 mage armor , CMD 18
F +9, R +6, W +12

Actually for the rates of instigation & responses, I found the following:

Silfr instigates 20 times gathering 7 responses

Dryant instigates 13 times gather 7 responses

Re Painlord complaining about meta-gaming....

  • You bought the glitterdust scroll in a shop, & in greyhawk d&d magic items are consumer goods.
  • In general magic use is an ever changing personally unique mystery but follows well known universal rules known in-game.
  • Likewise clerical domains are not secret knowledge and even uneducated people know which deity to pray for domain related desires (crops, weather, fortune etc).
  • It should not surprise you that a former tutor of religious & planar knowledge, summoner of arcane power from other planes, and caster of arcane spells would know about magic (both arcane and divine).
  • Glitterdust can be cast by the bard, magus, sorcerer/wizard, summoner and witch classes.
  • Only bards and witches can cure light wounds, which Dryant has done.
  • Therefor is can be deduced that if single classed then Dryant is either a terrible bard or a witch.
  • Since Dryant also cast enlarge person, he is either a single class witch or the remaining alternative, a multi-class cleric/arcane caster.
  • By his actions he has revealed himself as a charlatan pretending to be a cleric of st. cuthbert casting clerical spells granted to his class by that diety.

Oh Dryant thinks he physically interacts with Silfr moments after we are all keyed up from combat and chasing vampires? (Well some of us chased vampires, others tried to recreate the Twlight movie franchise).

I think what really happens is Dryant goes around to pat Silfr's on the back while the paladin is considering that magic weapon oil will last only a minute.

Before making his condescending comment, Dryant is instead surprised to find his provokative action intercepted as he is pushed away. Far away.

CMD +7 vs CMD 11 (10 -2 from str, +3 from dex) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Silfr will dramatically push Dryant just 10 or the possible 15 feet on the move and not follow.

"Keep your wizardling hands away from me, you charlatan. Glitterdust's provenance is with arcane casters, and no clerical domain grants that conjuration. I want none of your lies, spells or physical affections."

If Dryant wants to have those "droll" comments happen next he can of course do what he wishes... so long as he doesn't interact with my character and you don't narrate my characters actions or choices.

After Dryant has finished gibbering like a goon, Silfr adds "How nice your angel provided a useful scroll. I look forward to appreciating this exultant when it shows up and help track down vampires."

To the group, he proposes a course of action.

"We have no reason to think this creature floated downward. It could easily be hiding behind evil minions, such as perhaps the teifling and goblins. We should go east and see if the goblins screen their master's resting place."

Silfr, remembering now that weapon blanche (silver) requires an open flame to apply to a weapon, will instead sheath the goop and move to the ladder at T8.

Now that Silfr is outside the magic circle, he obeys the compulsion of domination and attacks Dyrant, dropping the silversheen to really get a strong two handed swing and do some damage...

zzz.. Oh! I was having the most wonderful dream... I'll work on my round 4 post once I see about the grapple.

Silfr will take a normal 30 move and draw some silver alchemical goop to use on the sword, should Dryant's bugbear become cornered.

I shouldn't have wasted that smite earlier saving the toffee... forgot the vampire was real and not a figment of Dryant's imagination

Assuming he was evil, otherwise smite was wasted. Ignores DR. AC +5 vs smite target

Dryant is so blood thirsty! We do not know these are opponents, explorers, or under the compulsion of other enemies.

Silfr will concentrate and Detect Evil.

Knowledge: Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

What magic is now being unleashed thanks to the brash attack?

"Wait! Before we engage in mutual slaughter, pray parley, all of you, We have no cause for conflict with these two! Perhaps our goals are aligned!"

Though now Dryant's brash threats and Finneas's attack have given cause to them.

Silfr is not ready to murder some strangers simply becauase they happen to be underground (like our own party).

Can we get a GM call on Dryant's last in-character post?

It sounds like he is pantomiming, which is a perform skill, which in turns references the bard performance ability, a standard action.

So he only has a move left to draw his bow, and can't load it as well. Also he should make his skill roll rather than assume the goblins understand his bizarre gestures, since they might find them related to dogs and so deeply offensive.

My own wizard "Mahrou the Sage" died a long time ago, but he would have been happy Thorn finally emerged from his shadow and contributed to the success of the PFS.

Not content to watch Dryant and Cog drool longingly for old chicken bones, Silfr will be on guard and scout the immediate cave area while staying in sight of the party.

"With my augmented eyesight I shall peer down the cave passage way to the east. I will not be long, if you wish to continue your climbing attempts instead of exploring this basement realm."

Silfr will move to R36, where he should be able to see the group Cog is leading at the base of area 8. His darkvision will let him see into the area marked 18.

Let us return to the room we fought the goblin horde and see if the eastern door and southern passage beyond connects to the room above."

The fellow has all the wall climbing ability of a Dachshund.

Normally I would expect Dryant to trick Atol into any risky explorations. Maybe to a man who eats soup everyday, the prospect of chicken bones provides the incentive to climb.

Silfr will also detect magic and evil in an attempt to find what everyone is so wound up about.

Silfr will detect magic and look about the room, though he remains on guard and is not checking ever corpse for stray coppers.
