BACKGROUND:
Spoiler:
Shulim comes from a wealthy, prosperous Maqah gnome family of merchants based in Bidikah. Shulim hates his birthright, however, as his father, Kumar al Bheddah, constantly tries to push him into the life of a sea merchant when he would rather lounge around in the city, seeing the sights, gambling, drinking, and what not. He has grudgingly learned the skills of a sailor to please his father, but he also has learned the art of thievery to please himself. He took up the worship of Najm the Quick, a god who embodies much of what Shulim believes in. Shulim has fled his family on numerous occasions, even joining a pirate ship for a bit (before he was kicked out for stealing from the crew). His current way of striking out against his family is his attempt at getting accepted into the Faradin. He currently does odd jobs for a Faradin handler, mostly petty theft and such. |
