I'll be dropping from consideration as there's a PFS game I'd like to try and get in on. Be the first PFS I've attempted. Sorry to take up your time needlessly.

I must say that the concept of this run is very intriguing!

definitely interested. been wanting to get into my first PFS game for a while. I'll re-read the PFS guide tonight after work to refresh my mem.

Assault = Cavalier, Monk
Skilled = Ranger, Rogue.
Divine = Cleric, Paladin
Arcane = Bard, Sorcerer

sounds very interesting :)

Sounds intriguing. Will have to take a peek at the PDF as I'm not familiar with the setting.

To get an idea of the types of games at The Game Shoppe, they have a fairly active forum at www.thegameshoppe.com It's a good shop and the crew there are very friendly. Flames of War, Hordes/Warmachine, and the various GW core games seem to be the most active as far as miniature gaming.

Dragon Lair (Blondo) has a very small gaming area, but as was mentioned, it's a great place to pick up used material.

If anyone needs another player for PF, I'd be glad to give it a go. I'm not overly crazy about 4th Ed. Due to my work schedule (work evening shift) I'd only be available on weekends though which may cause a problem.

Currently playing in PofPotts Serpent Skull PBP (Shisa).

'Ah well,' he comments, 'considering the obvious talents of the ship's navigator I guess we should all be thankful to still be alive! And thank you, my dear, for rousing me... and for not doing so with that dirge you call "song"!'

Shisa joins the diminutive gnome in the walk back to the others. "I assure you, master Gelik, that I roused you purely on selfish whim. Had I left you, the spawn would have eaten you and gotten and upset stomach whereby the druid would be mad at me for allowing nature's critters to be thus harmed. So, in order to keep peace with the druid, I was forced to wake you and not let your bones litter the beach with more flotsam.. see, pure selfishness on my part."

Marik wanders over to where Shisa is standing.

"Oh, put that away. As much a pleasure as it would be to stick Master Gelik, no purpose would be served by doing so"

Shisa looks at Marik wide-eyed then begins to grin. "Thanks for the idea, I'd not have thought of it," she says. Her face then grows serious as she continues. "however, the storm last night left my gear wet and the fletching must be straightened or the arrow will not fly true. I just hope the shafts themselves didn't warp as warm as it is." She watches as Marik tries to wake the gnome and proceeds to check each arrow in turn.

Shisa watches as the redhead wanders off to gather her gear. "Sheesh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the beach," she says jokingly. "Nice reflexes." She dismisses the chills that ran up her back as simply being tired and turns to the navigator.

"Any luck?" she asks, but alas, Bandy has wandered off. She squats down to roll the map back up and places it in the case. She reaches into her pack and pulls out something squishy. "Oh, great," she exclaims as she pulls out a soggy trail ration and throws it aside. "I'll need to check the rest later."

Donning her pack, she slips the quiver of arrows over her shoulder and strings her short bow. "Time to wake the goblin," she laughs as she heads over to Gelik, pulling out an arrow as she goes. Standing over the sprawled form, she nudges him with her foot while running her fingers over the arrow's fletching to straighten them out.

Female Half-Elven Rogue / 2

Shisa looks over at Brandlewick and motions him over. "Mister Brandy, can you please take a look at this map and see if it's of any use? You'd probably make more of it than I can. I'll help rouse the others."

Without waiting a response, she turns and begins to once again get Sasha on her feet. "Come on Sasha, rise and shine."

Without looking at Aerodus, Shisa reaches up to pull her hair back and retie it into a tighter 'tail. "Seems to me, it was the Captain who wanted him kept in irons." She pauses and gives an exaggerated look around. "I don't see the Captain anywhere, so why not loose his bonds?"

She pauses for a moment as what she said sinks in. "Come to think of it, I don't see much of the crew or the Captain's trollop. Do you think they're still on the ship?" She stands quickly, her interest in whether or not Aerys takes a swing at Tony forgotten.

She gives Sasha's feet a quick nudge with her boot. "Get up Sasha, no more time to sleep." Walking quickly to her gear, she picks up her things and walks back over to Sasha. Setting down her pack, she pulls out a map case and opens it to retrieve the rolled up parchment within.

"Good thing the harbor master left his office before I did. Let's see, where are we?" She unrolls the acquired map and sets it on the sand.

Knowlege(Geo-Mwamgi Expanse) 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 2 = 19

I completely agree with you Aerodus. The inter-character interaction is awesome.

Aerodus Whiteblade wrote:

For all we know, he deserves to be shackled, I'd rather not loose another threat upon us, at least until we find out what crime he has committed.'

Shisa spares a quick glance toward Aerodus and her eyes narrow. "Oh, so you'd rather leave him tied like a holiday goose waiting for the next wave of spawn to come eat him? How very noble. Perhaps you'd prefer to just stake him out and wait." She lets out a quick derisive snort.

Shisa gives her head a quick shake as if to clear some unwanted thought then goes back to watching Tony to see if Aerys comes up swinging.. "Whatever," she mumbles under her breath.

Shisa looks around and spots Sasha laying in the sand. She shrugs and walks over toward her as Aerodus bends over the sleeping prisoner.

"You may want to unlock those things. If we get attacked again, I'd hate to have someone die simply because they couldn't fight back." She pats Aerodus on the shoulder as she passes.

Plopping down to sit across Sasha's legs, Shisa reaches over to shake the sleeping woman's shoulder. "Hey, turn around's fair play.. even though it wasn't really you.. wake up."

She examines the small cut in her boot waiting for the other to stir. Looking over at Aerodus, she says, "I can unlock those for you, if you want."

Shisa looks at the dwarf with a grin and starts to walk back toward the group. The adrenaline rush of combat wears off about half way and she falls to her knees coughing violently for a moment before loosing what was left of her last meal.

"Ugh. Remind me to fire the cook," she says with half-felt humor. She stands shakily to her feet and pushes the hair back from her face, feeling the grit of sand still stuck to her skin. She wipes the sand away as best she can as she approaches the stack of gear.

Squatting down, she begins to pull her things from the stack and sets them aside. "Well, this is a fine mess you've gotten into this time girl," she says quietly to herself as she stands to face the group.

Ack! Good point. Sorry. Should have remembered about 'forced emotes' from my MUD days.

Sorry Tony.

Female Half-Elven Rogue / 2

Shisa looks over at Tony and grins. "Nice entrance.. come this way often?" She throws him a wink before dashing off to lend a hand to Marik, leaving the young man temporarily speechless.

She tries to maneuver behind the kraken spawn (or at least that's what Aerodus called it) and hit the thing in it's, hopefully, softer backside.

not sure how far she had to move so rolling just in case

Sneaky stab roll: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
Dagger attack: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Sneaky damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

not my day..

Shisa finds it hard to run in the shifting sand after so much time on a solid, rolling ship and the effects of the strange sleep has affected her depth perception. Her blade thrusts well short of the target.

This is a game of firsts for me.. 1st PbP, 1st Pathfinder game, and now 1st using HeroLabs. The in game tab makes it easy to track my damage / status. Just clicked the box for sickness and all stats self-adjusted :) Easier than using paper to track how many hps I have left.

Shisa somehow manages to keep her feet while trying to dodge the vicious claws. "Well Mundin, looks like you're no longer on a ship, eh," she yells across the beach. "and I'd agree, it looks like Aerodus finally found his spawn." She backsteps as the stinger comes toward her.

Shisa's sore ankle decides to twist in the loose sand and she finds herself struggling to maintain her balance and her grip on her dagger.

Shisa spares a quick glance around to check on the others, and barely dodges the creature's tail as it whips past her. [i] "Concentrate Shisa, or you'll never get out of this in one piece,"[i] her groggy mind tells herself.

She slides her feet forward, dodging a snapping claw on the way, and thrusts her dagger forward at the now bleeding beast. The heat of the sun beats down on the back of your neck. You taste salt, seaweed, but mostly sand. The ground beneath you seems to rock... or... no, it's not moving - it feels weird because you can't feel the motion of the ship you've grown accustomed to. The chittering of insects, monkeys, birds... the sounds drift to you from not too far away, and nearer... the lapping of waves. Your feet... yes, water is washing over them in time to the rhythm of the waves. You try to move, your fingers dig into damp sand. Something... something heavy is on your legs, weighing you down.

Shisa lets out a moan, her stomach threatening to spill whatever it was she ate. Her still-fuzzy mind is trying to function and she thinks it's Sasha coming for another girl talk. "Sasha, why are you waking me yet again? Get off my legs." She feels something moist and gritty brushing against her lips and teeth as she mutters.

With effort, she lifts her head and struggles to open her gritty eyes. Bright sunlight brings a stab of pain all the way through to her temples. "By Cayden's mug, what did I drink last night?" Looking around, she sees an expanse of sand leading to the trees.
[b]"What the.. OUCH!"
Her question is cut abruptly short by a searing pain in her left foot.

She glances down and sees something huge scuttle briefly away then start moving toward her again. She reaches for her rapier as she tries to roll to her feet only to find it missing. Seeing the stack of gear off to the side, she does the only thing she can and pulls her dagger. "Well master Gelik, I hope you've a quill handy.. and I hope I live to tell the tale." Getting shakily to her feet, she crouches with dagger ready..

Shisa lets out a laugh. Good point! The talk with Sasha has taken her mind off of her past and her sides are starting to ache from all the laughter they've shared. Maybe that's Aerys' problem as well. She sure does seem to be irritating to say the least. I'm thinking a good romp would do her well. Perhaps her and the gnome so they can both harp on each other," she says with a giggle.

She flexes her arm and rests her head in her hand, staring at the door. "I wonder what trouble the others are causing. Shall we head to the galley, grab some ale and find out? Maybe if we're lucky, Mundin will have tied the Gnome to the overhead beams and left him dangling for a while" She smiles widely at the thought as she raises to her feet.

".. and I think you're most correct about the gnome. He'd criticize, analyze, then write it all down so he could remember it all later. On the bright side, at least he'd tidy up afterwards," she concludes.

Leaning her head against the hull, she looks over at Sasha. Shisa doesn't ask Sasha about herself to keep from having to answer similar questions directed at her. "So, what do you think of this course change that Alton is so worried about? Think it means anything? Crew seems a bit upset."

Sasha wrote:
'Nice tune,' she observes, smiling at the half-elf, 'I heard you wailing for the gnome earlier - hilarious! That'll teach him to go asking for songs and stories and what-have-you... Should keep his nose out of that stuff...'

She begins putting the short staves into her pack, tucking each behind the cloth loop on the inside to keep them in place as Sasha stretches out on her bed. She listens with interest as Sasha goes on about the qualities of the various passengers and giggles softly.

"Well, you are the most incorrigible one," she says with a laugh. "Since you say the crew is out, that leaves out Alton, although I think he is quite charming given his self confidence and the way he looks after his crew.. so, who does that leave.. I can honestly say, a really bad roll makes you think of how you can over come it and stay in your mental concept of your character. Yesterday was a prime example.. out sang by a dwarf.. ugh. It would have been infinitely harder to play out if I'd have been a Paly or other character with high morals / honor. Made for a very enjoyable scene. :)

Oddly enough, that's what I was hoping for. As an elf (even half) she should be able to sing at least a bit, so if anyone happens by..

Plus, people tend to tune out really bad singers.. what better way to hide your background from prying quills? ;) So it kind of played into the character..

even so.. yes.. story of my gaming life.. all good rolls when they go un-needed.. heh.

Shisa looks at the gnome with a feigned look of hurt. "Why master Gelik," she says, don't you remember? It's half-hobgoblin. Or so says the lady of expressive digits. She laughs softly, a twinkle in her eyes.

With a sly grin, she bends down, putting her arm around the scribe, her lips move close to his ear as she whispers, "You asked for a story, I gave mine. Too bad that in your desire to cover your ears and sneak a drink from Mundin, you forgot to write it down." She gives him a playful peck on the check as she stands. Mundin's harsh dwarven voice finally breaks through the near trance and brings Shisa's hands to a halt. She repacks her whetstone and sheaths her blades. Standing, she stretches for a moment then wanders back to the galley entering as the song finishes.

"Me thinks you need another ale my friend," she says with a broad smile and walks over to grab a four mugs. She fills three with ale and one with rum. Walking over to the table she sets an ale before those gathered and lifts her own rum-filled mug in a toast. To tales of adventure and song.

She takes a sip from her mug and sets it down on the table then starts to sing in Elvish.

*sacrificing pop tart to the dice mistress*

Elvish song:

A maiden fair
long locks of hair
drifting through the night

No sound she makes
as jewels she takes
no guards, no guards in sight

A noise she hears
getting caught she fears
she hides beneath a bed

A noble born
A captain worn
now rut above her head

And when they're done
neigh comes the sun
She out the window fled

She did not know
the gem she stole
Could cost her dark tressed head

Well.. now you know why I'm a thief and not a bard..
