I have made a character for WHFRPG 2E, but didn't play her. A um... camp follower. Sorry I wasn't around this weekend. Had a family member in the hospital, and anxiety related insomnia which put me out for most gaming purposes. I need to think what else Shirish would get with her 500 gp and have it up in the OOC tomorrow sometime. I liked the bit between Chitleen and our pajama wearing barbarian. We can just say Shirish is still avoiding the elf she almost killed :P
Sorry my delay. Another bout with insomnia left me off in the head. Shirish is absent at breakfast the next morning, and through most of the night, returning late and catching only a few hours of sleep. "I will attend to our provisions," Shirish rumbles when Chitleen and Tararr discuss plans to meet with the archive. "For certain we can use more rope. Some chain..." she trais and looks at her hands.
Shirish wakes with a look of awe and reverence in her eyes for the miracle of the goddess's healing being extended to her, then she looks to Chitleen stirring and backs away. "Th-Thank you, lady," she rumbles, and slides her eyes nervously to the elf her sword brought down in a single hit. Some guardian you are, slave, she mocks herself. While the others flit about the room, sensing danger has passed, Shirish removes her armor for the trip back up the hole. "Do any of you masters have some knowledge of how to keep the chanting from driving me insane again?" she grumbles and rubs at where her head still has a considerable knot over her eye.
Shirish, groggy, was too weak to even lift her own weapons. Instead, as the wizard ran by her, she reached up from her spot on the floor to grab at his ankles and arrest his progress. Shirish CMB w/prone vs. Escaping Wizard 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 - 4 = 9 well, that could certainly have gone worse...
I second a wand, when we can afford it. But consumable pots are also good for "oh poo, i'm doing this and the priest is over there!" moments. Or, like what happened, someone goes down, you can force a pot into their throat if the priest is busy stabilizing someone else. Having not played a ranger before, since it's on the spell list, does she have to be level 4 to use a cure light wound wand, or able to cast CLW at level 7?
Shirish Confusion 1d100 ⇒ 93 for, oh god.
Shirish's rage continues and she turns to Chitleen and brings him down in a single powerful strike, then falls unconscious herself. you just had to provoke the dice roller in the OOC didn't you?
Shirish Fort Save vs. DC 13 Rage/Confusion 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Shirish snarls in orc, grabs up her sword and proceeds to hit herself in the face with the pommel, cutting her eye, and knocking herself silly. Status:
Shirish, having no need to move, takes the opportunity and full attacks the creature threatening her party. Shirish Longsword attack w/TWF, FA 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 if it hits, she will deal 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 damage. Shirish Heavy Shield attack w/TWF, FA 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 if it hits, she will deal 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 damage. Attack to Confirm Critical 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 if that hits shirish will deal 2d8 + 12 ⇒ (1, 2) + 12 = 15 damage.
Yeah, she'd not let Chitleen go ahead by himself after she saw him laid out earlier. At Chitleen's words, Shirish gathers up her shield and sword and readies to attack anything that may come near, rather than divide herself from her charge as she so clearly failed in the jungle. "I will fight with you," she tells Chitleen. Shirish Readied Action, Longsword Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 damage. Add two to both attack roll and damage if it is against an undead creature.
Have we lost another dwarven priest? Sheesh, maybe I'll dump Shirish to make a battle cleric of Gorum Shirish rolls her eyes when Tararr mewls upon entering the chamber. Surely discretion would have been the better part of valor when traveling further into the complex with no advanced knowledge of its denizens, but then... he did not seem to encompass huge mental reserves, or patience. So few of her brothers and sisters raged so, and were often immediately sold to the gladiator pits, lacking the temperament required for strict training in defense. At Chitleen's word, Shirish lowers her sword slightly. The spell caster was not abed, "How long might he be away?" she wonders. She does not want to camp in this place, knowing only one, extremely narrow and difficult to navigate exit.
Shirish Longsword Attack w/Favored Enemy 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 2 = 15 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 damage. Shirish Heavy Shield Bash w/Favored Enemy 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10 damage. Shirish, seeing the life filter from Chitleen's eyes, takes a full offensive round to end the unlife of the creature threatening her companion.
Shirish's eyes widen. "Do not touch any of the jars," she says, primarily, to the new members of the party. Shirish investigates if there is any method to ensure that the sarcophogi remain closed, perhaps using a number of her spikes and a hammer... Shirish Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Shirish sighs when Chitleen is stung by the needle. Chitleen, Perception DC 25:
"Maybe next time a plate to cover?" she suggests Shirish appears to mutter something in private to Chitleen, shrugs and then creeps forward, a few paces ahead of the rest, as quietly as possible. Shirish Stealth 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Shirish Longsword Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 damage Shirish Heavy Shield Bash 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage. Shirish, unaware of the movement further in the cabin, appears to be losing steam as she continues to lash assault upon assault on the enemy that will not go down!
Shirish Fort Save DC 11 vs. Posion 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Shirish Longsword Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5.
Shirish Heavy Shield Bash 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5.
By popular demand, the Shirish Blender continues - WHIRRRRR Shirish Longsword Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 damage. Shirish Heavy Shield Bash 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage. Shirish marks the entrance of the spiders, and considers that her attacks have little great effect on the creature she is currently fighting, and perhaps tackling the disgusting arachnids. Shirish Kn. Nature, Dungeoneering spiders (if applicable) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Shirish Crit damage 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (3, 2) + 8 = 13 not bad! Shirish continues to lay into the creature in front of her. Should the wear drop, she will take another 5' step in and complete her attack on the second creature. Shirish Longsword Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 damage. Shirish Heavy Shield Bash 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 damage. Okay, these dice are waaay too friendly tonight...
Shirish will take a 5' step to K7 to allow the others room to come down and engage the creatures, and raises her sword as part of her move action. She will use a full round attack, utilizing both sword and board for the first time in several combats. Shirish Longsword Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 if she hits she will deal 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage Shirish Heavy Shield Bash 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 if she hits she will deal 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 damage.
Oh, sye, if Shirish strips out of her armor and gets reduce person cast on her... Sheesh. Shirsh = inept sandy claus these days. "Wait," Shirish quietly rumbles, and climbs partially into the hole to take a look about the likely dark landing with her darkvision. Shirish Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 It looks totally safe guys! Shirish steps back from the hole, and finding nothing, grunts and shrugs, then turns to offer her back to the group as she strips out of her heavy armor. Shirish will take 10 on Es. Artist to climb down, and have her shield ready at the very least to meet foes with a move action
