Currently I have four area I would like to see more development on - in this order. 1. The Solar System - Distant Worlds was a taste that has left me hungry or maybe starving for me. I have had a hit of crack and I am searching for the next high... 2. Vudra 3. Sunken Azlanti 4. Dragon Kingdoms. I know this is not how things go but I would buy a hardcover on all of these areas in a heartbeat. But then I would just like more Golarion hardcovers. The following is from the PRD Enchantment School The enchanter uses magic to control and manipulate the minds of his victims. Enchanting Smile (Su): You gain a +2 enhancement bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate skill checks. Does this mean that for an Enchanter - Diplomacy, Intimidate and Bluff are class skills for Wizards who take Enchantment as their chosen school? I realize this is probably been discussed someplace on the boards but a search did not reveal the hidden information. Thank you all in advance for the discussion that ensues.... Hi all, I know it is early in the game for concerns but... I usually get packages from Paizo the day after they are sent. Two at the most. My account says that my Tome of Horrors was sent on the 24th and it has not arrived yet. When people started mentioning they got theirs on the 31st I looked at my account. I had been to my mailbox on the 31st but had no packages. I went today and had them double check and it is still not there. So, I thought I would check in with you and see if there is a tracking number or any way I might figure out where the book went. Thanks for all the great products and service Paizo provides. Make Mine Marvel (oops... slipped out) I bought all the fiction in epubs and then tried to read them on my Kindle. It seems like the first three novels that came out are a bit different the the newer epubs. The older novels work find on my kindle but the new ones do not even show up. Am I doing something wrong. I transferred the files to the documents folder on my kindle. This worked with those older novels but not with the latest novel or any of the other Pathfinder Fiction. Help... There have been threads on the message boards about taking PDF maps from adventure paths and having them expanded and printed at Kinkos or someplace like that. Is there anyway to get a short letter giving permission to have these printed for personal use. I have had a few put on vinyl and I love them but it is sometimes a hassle to get it done. Thanks.... Hi all, You tried to run my credit card for this order and it didn't go through. I threw some money on the card and tried to tell the website to run it again but it just kept telling me it did not go through before and I had to give another option to bill it. Please just run it on my regular card again. Thanks I have for years been fascinated by the idea of an campaign centered around the idea of shadow magic, the shadow plane, and other shadow themed concepts. So, I am just throwing the idea out there. Scattered throughout the 3.5 books there were many of these spells, classes, monthers, etc. including the Tome of Magic which had full and prestige classes. Help me keep the shadow from enveloping Golarion. James (rightfully) closed down the other thread that started by talking about consolidated lists. I understand the realities that James talked about in that other thread and do not disagree with any of them. And I do understand that this is how D&D has been from the start. Some of the best 1e monsters came out in modules. I also have had the experience of knowing I saw something somewhere in some book and could not find it when I wanted it. So, maybe an annual compilation is not possible but maybe one every few years to include rules, prestige classes and other information that is applicable to the bigger game and not just an AP. James thank you for input on the boards and in the above mentioned thread. Recently it has come up in my group that some of my players think they get a saving throw immediately when receiving an energy drain attack. I have looked over the rules in the Core Rulebook, Heroes of Horror, the Pathfinder Bestiary, the 3.5 books and I cannot find anyplace where it says anything about an intial saving throw. My understanding is that the only saving throw comes at 24 hours to see if the negative levels become permanent (unless the levels are restored through restoration). It seems to me the negative levels take effect immediately and then there is a save 24 hours later but that is the only saving throw. I wish the book was just a bit more clear on this one. Somehow some of my players read it differently. Thanks for all your input. I have resisted using my laptop at the gaming table for a long time. I have tried a couple of different software packages but they have not grabbed me. What are people using - why are you using it and how easy is it to use at the table. I am computer literate but I am not very interested in something that has a very steep learning curve. Money is not really an issue as long as it is a great program that will help me at the table and make things easier rather than harder. I have a friend who uses something and I find that he spends a lot of time with the laptop and not with us (although sometimes I do to with stat blocks or text - so I see the trade off). Maybe something to help make combat faster but it has to handle unique creatures and that then means a lot of input and I am not hot on that or even have the time. DM Familiar has some of the AP inputted already but not enough to help me. The last one they did is the next one I will be running and then I have over run them. Thanks in advance for your help. Please with all future map folios or region books may we get a poster map of the main town or region. I like to take them to Kinko's to get them made larger and put on vinyl but somewhere their software has changed and they cannot do it with maps within a PDF anymore (of course unless they had the password). But when those maps are placed on the blog or are separate PDF's then they can do it. Next week I plan to take the map for Darkmoon Dale over and get it done. I know that Vic has talked about selecting the image but when I do that I lose all the annotations (which sometimes I want and sometimes I don't). I certainly can copy the image without them but have not been able to copy the image with them. (Before Vic says do control copy - I have tried them all). I am also not the Photoshop poster boy - although I own the program. I guess I could figure out how to add those annotations back in but all the street names, etc? Man... Anyway, thank you for listening to my whining. And thank you for the fantastic work. In the Crown of the Kobold King D-1 it says in the module that the 3rd level of the Dungeon will be covered in a later module. Today preparing D0/D1/D1.5 combo I realized I mistakenly thought that D1.5 would have that deeper level but alast that is not true. Are there any plans for that deeper level or has it been published and I missed it someplace. Thanks for the amazing work you do. Our group just converted our RotR group to Pathfinder. We were playing Sins of the Saviors and during the play Dispel Magic came up two or three times. We found the spell to be confusing and had difficulty resolving the spell in relation to the effect it was trying to overcome. We did not feel that going back to the 3.5 was a good option either. As the DM I made a guess on the effect and we moved on but it took us quite sometime to try and figure it out and never really got a good resolution to the situation. My group just finished their 3rd attempt at Jorgenfist Fortress. At the end of the first session they were hiding in the mountains west of the fortress for the night. The next session they found their way through the caves and fought giants and dragons and lamia until they had to retreat to the caves. Then made their second attempt on the Fotress a couple of days later and were overwhelmed by more giants on guard duty and that attempt was short lived. They teleported to Magnimar and licked their wounds. Their third session and attempt came today (Our sessions are long - usually 12 to 15 hours). This time they waited long enough that the giants were not on high alert and teleported into the area where they had killed the dragons before. They worked their way to the library level and it hell broke loose. We had a blast and they were challenged in a huge way. I had so much fun with this level of the adventure. They avoided all the above groud stuff and I hope they encounter some of it when they are finished below ground. They encountered the BB Stone Giant and were getting waxed.he cleric threw a spell that resulted in the giant being blind for a round so he fled not knowing he would recover so soon and it was because of his sepll selection it was difficult to bring him back (although I almost brought him in the door behind them with a few giants to help him out). One player had to go home for the night and if I brought him back we would have been at it for several more hours - so they again teleported to Magnimar. Maybe I should not have had him flee after being blinded but it seemed like the thing to do. This chapter will take them at least four 12 hour sessions to complete and it has been a lot of fun for me. I have never played or DMed Against the Giants and this is a taste of what that might be like although more involved. Thank you for such a great adventure. I tried to get a large map of Galorian made today from Kinkos and they could not resize it or manipulate it in anyway because of the password on the file. Is there a way to get the map as a separate file for the purposes of making a large map on vinyl. I have done this with several maps and for this one I plan to go 4x5 feet (if the resolution will be good enough - if not then 3x4 feet). I guess my next question is that is the resolution on the map with the Gazetteer better than the one of the blog or is it the same. It seemded to me the one on the blog was not very good resolution. EDIT: I checked the blog and that map is not the final product. They were still working it. Thanks, Shem Okay, What is the weird factor holding up my order? I have been specific not to wait on anything. I have a busy life and there are times if I have to wait that it may be a week or two before I get to check my downloads again and even if I can I cannot really do anything with them. Please never hold anything to try and save me a couple of bucks. I would rather have my Pathfinder quickly - the Chronicles too. Other than that I am not as in a hurry. Thanks, Bob Clark, I was wondering if there was a comprehensive list of modules anywhere. I think I have gaps in my collection and I have always had a hard time trying to figure out what has been published. A little help... One specific is where do I find F8 or is it not marked that way. I was checking my spreadsheet and it appears to be what I am missing. Thanks in advance I know there are many threads and posts on skills but in light of the evaluation of the skills system going on I wanted to weigh in. I love the new skills and combinations please keep them (except I agree that open lock and disable device should be combined and sleight of hand kept separate - also not hot on the name Theft for a skill but can live with it). I like how the skills are structured and would like to keep cross-class skills (and probably will in my game anyway). I also like not having skills points and this is something else I will probably keep in my game even if it changes but I would rather it was kept, i.e. Trained skills get 1d20 + level +3 + ability bonus. This is not a loss of skills points (a bit less flexible) but the actually progression of how well they do over their career is about the same. The level +3 is what they get when they take 4 ranks and keep pumping points into the skill. Granted when the skill is very high someone cannot move points into another skill but your system lets them add skills in a more liberal way than the previous system and I like it. The part I would change is how many skills PCs receive over their careers. I think that new skills should not come so often. For the rogues maybe and next probably bards, rangers and possible barbarians. After that I think that fighters are the feat masters and specllcasters are the king of that realm and those classes probably receive fewer skills over time than the aforementioned. (I have not play tested this yet or even made a build so I may be off base with this one but it seems to be a wizard with 10 skills is a bit much). Also, I would not adjust the rogue too much from where it is. I love them getting access to a spell or two as they progress and it makes so much sense to me. In 3.5 this is the one thing that I was looking for in my rogue and did not even get it. I thought the next rogue I built would have to be a sorcerer on the side just to get access to a couple of spells to help his rogueness - not magic missle, not any attack spells but spells that help him do his true job. Thank you Jason for these rules and taking time to hear from us. I received my Guide to Korvosa and noticed that there is a separate file for the City. I was wondering if we could get a separate file for the poster maps in the Map Folio. I hate to mess up the maps I have by sticking them on the wall and would love to have separate files to take to Kinko's. Thanks for the great work. Well, I read it... (I know many others have also). After reading it I think that the difference between 4e and previous editions is that they started from the ground up and talked about all aspects of the game to include why a certain monster was how it was or did it belong did it make sense. From their standpoint it really made sense to me. D&D has developed randomly all these years. Gary and his crew designed the game from a the idea of adding fantasy themes to medievil wargames and it took off from there. It was brillant and it developed into D&D. Things were added as they were written into modules or new source books or into Dragon Magazine but it was not done with purpose it was done haphazardly. The designer have taken all that material and thought it out. I like their thinking (don't know if I will like the end product). I like their ideas about the new cosmology (I agree the great wheel is complicated). I do not know if I will like the finished product but I like the ideas they have used in their process. We will see... Hi guys... When I subscribed to everything my Pathfinder shipping option kept defaulting to ship by the 3-10 day option. The others were fine but this one kept changing back on its own. So, I tried the ship everything with Pathfinder option and the shipping option worked but I really do not want to wait for my stuff and where in the first three issues I got my PDF right away this time it was about a week after it was available. So, I changed it back and again it is defaulting to 3-10 shipping option when I want it with 1 day UPS shipping. Everything else is find - it is just my Pathfinder that does it. Thanks all... I know there has been a lot of discussion about PDF files and the Paizo has lost the license to make PDFs for older issues. Does this also apply to the issues between the most recent PDF files done and the last printed issues of the magazine? I know a year had to go by before they could be put out there. Are you going to see the more recent PDF files over time or are we completely done? I, of course, ask becuase I want the savage tide AP in PDF format. Thanks in advance for the definitive answer... When I added the two new subscriptions today my Pathfinder subscription changed shipping types. I have fixed it several times but it keeps going back to a slower method than I want. It should be the UPS 1 day shipping option - as should my modules and Pathfinder Chronicles. Planet Stories no problem with being a bit slower. Thanks Cos... Hi guys... I find that I am loving your products so much that I have a hard time waiting for the PDF. I just changed my shipping preference to UPS today (not that I expect that to change anything in the queue) but wanted to point it out in case doing so helped make the change on your end. Thanks for such great adventures... Well, tonight my group finished the Skinsaw Murders. This Chapter was pure genius. We did it in two sessions. The first session was a finish to Thisletop and then on to the Skinsaw Murders. We played until they killed the baddest guy in the Manor. The group was on the edge of their seats and did not make a sound about quitting until after 1:30 am when they killed the BBEG. That was after 15 hours of play. Today they finished up at the manor (best they could without resting there) and headed to Magnimar. They tracked down the clues - did a good job and the BBEG flew away after a near TPK. They recovered and bit on the next job from the Mayor - and our next session will begin witht he trip to Hook Mountain. We are all loving it immensely. Thanks guys for creating such a quality product. I would say that the first half of the adventure at the manor was one of the best (if not the best) session I have ever run. Or did the whole month of November go by without a single adventure for the online Dungeon Magazine. Through this whole transition I have supported WotC - I feel they are not living up to the promises they have made to us about posting content a few times a week. Dragon Magazine has really not been much better. I am not really unhappy with most of the content they have posted but the lack of content is getting ridiculous. For the first time I am beginning to lean toward not subscribing to the DI. I recevied my D2 module today but still have not gotten the PDF on my downloads page. When the modules were announced I bought each of them individually before there was a subscription option. Then signed up as a subscriber as soon as that option was available. The first module D1. I recevied two copies (which I had no problem with) and my PDF. For W1 I had to email for my PDF and received only one copy of the module. Now for D2 I did send an email - maybe a confusing one and have received no response and no PDF yet. I waited until I received the module in the mail to send this second inquiry. Thanks - I am very happy with the quality of Pathfinder, the modules and the customer service. I am sure once all the modules I prepaid have gone through the system it will be much smoother. I should learn not to be so anxious. Bob
