Check this out. It comes in squares and in hexes. I just bought a few roles to try it out. It comes in rolls that is like gift wrapping paper. You just cut off the size you want and draw out your map. Also, if you can find any the original flip maps had hexes on the back side. Their whole idea of a chase started in the Crimson Throne adventure path where they had a chase set up with homemade cards and some rules for the chase. I am not sure if the rules changed or were expanded in the GMG because I have not read them in detail or compared them with the Crimson Throne rules but I am sure these have been in the works for a long time and I believe this has been discussed on the boards a long time ago... I think that just because a PC is LE or any other alignment that not every act they do is going to be strictly of that alignment. A Paladin does not get in trouble unless he does an evil act but not a Neutral act or a Chaotic act once in awhile just an evil act. I do not see a problem with what he did. I may not have been a Lawful act but so what. No alignment should be a noose that dictates every act. On the other hand what was the real purpose of doing it anyway. At that rate it nobody would wait around for the compilation. Every year with only one being released they would fall further and further behind. I would pay for this updated to Pathfinder and also the other three 3.5 adventure paths. I do not know that I would buy ongoing compilations or not but I would buy the first four. And I do not think compilations several years after the AP comes out would change people buying the current APs. Say the current one Serpent Skull. I would not want to wait 4 or 5 years to see it in hardcover - I want my Paizo goodness as soon as I can get it. Now that there is a separate thread for iconics... I am really looking foward to this AP. I wish that it was coming out before Serpent Skull actually. We will be wrapping up Crimson Throne and in the next few months and I planned to go to Serpent Skull next but now... I am hoping that we do not get done until December or January. I have been thinking about playing out all the needs to happen after Crimson Throne and maybe that will push us out far enough or we can do something else until this comes out. I would run Serpent Skull and then this one but... It takes us at least a year and a half to play through an AP. Loving all of the AP goodness from Paizo. Thanks... Asgetrion wrote:
Well, I don't know about anyone else but I already have it and I am going to buy another one just to avoid getting any of those photos. Love Live the Revolution... I really think that Paizo Superscribers should always be first. Those that subscribe the most should get something for their loyalty. Just saying. BenS wrote:
I would love to see a hardcover book like the Inner Sea Campaign Book of the Thassilonian Empire or a book on the world in the period before the cataclysm. Also, I vote to have more information on Xin-Shalast rather than another city. I would actually love a whole Guide to Xin-Shalast. Thanks for the awesome work you are doing for us. James Jacobs wrote: It's VERY LIKELY that the section on Ilvarandin will be HEAVILY INFLUENCED by what I'm doing in my office "Shadow Under Sandpoint" campaign... I've had plans for Ilvarandin's iconic monster in Pathfinder for years. James do you think your current campaign will ever see the light of day in an AP? Being I have been running adventure paths since Burnt Offerings first made it's debut I had not have a chance to run many of the modules Paizo has done. But two days ago an old gaming friend came into town and we decided to have a one-off gaming day and I ran Entombed with the Pharaohs. It was a lot of fun and they players loved it. We did it in a day. I hope to run the sequel one day for the survivors (which is only three out of five). Thanks again Paizo My suggestion is to subscribe. I love that I get a free PDF of everything in my subscriptions. What is great is to be able to print out certain things and put them together. One example is the gods from the adventure paths. I have my own book of the gods that I have accumulated. It is in a 3 ring binder for the present but maybe one day I will have Kinko's bind it for me. I have ordered a couple from Miniature Market. They have 46 left as of this moment. They started with almost 200 so if you missed the boat on Paizo you might be able to get one there. It must mean you are good because it has completely dropped off the radar for me. I had ordered two and got an email I could only get one and they were not sure I would get that and now I have none on my orders - so my assumption is I did not make the cut. Although I thought I got in very early on this. Just to weigh in. I was not very hot on this book from the time it was announced. Kind of felt it would be a throwaway book for me due to my subscription. I love it and am very happy with it. There are things I wish I had years ago and are not as relevent for me after 30 years of playing but I will find this very useful and love the charts and the NPCs and the new rules, etc. Thank you Paizo for being the best in the industry. Well, I am not sure changing the date only means the boat is slow. Last time they put this out there to sell it was never released. That was at least a year ago. They also had a gargantuan green dragon on the schedule but cancelled that also. That was when they completely cancelled the iconics line. I would love to see this but have my doubts. Originally I ordered it on Amazon and eventually my order was cancelled because it was not released. Also, Wizards had some regular miniatures scheduled to be released in March and then like June or July and both of those were cancelled. Supposedly they have a huge set coming out in August. I do not expect much more in the way of minis from WOTC. That is too bad because I am not much of a painter and I hate storing the metal ones. I have everything released since the Harbringer set so I probably have everything I will ever need but I enjoy collecting them. The whole things reminds me of a rogue in a group I was running Crimson Throne for. In one encounter he spent five or six rounds running around trying to hide in different places. Eventually, he put himself in a position where he was isolated from the rest of the group and attacked the BBEG of the encounter where no one could help him when he got in trouble. This was a long time ago so I am not sure but I believe he went down fairly quickly and had to be rescued after the rest of the group got finished with the initial battle and could move to the next room to take on the more difficult opponents. There was always something with this character either taking rounds to try and get set up on someone or getting himself separated from the group. keltic1701 wrote: I pre-ordered mine as well. But now that it's June, it would nice to know when it's going to be released. Are they waiting for the last second??? What I have seen on subscription page has been mid-June. Also, Paizocon attendess can pick up their subscriptions there and that begins on the 18th. So, around Paizocon either just before or just after I would suspect.
