Here's the relevant paragraph from the Pathfinder RPG Roleplaying Game Reference document

A level 3 warrior is a CR1 encounter, as is a level 3 adept. A level 3 fighter and a level 3 sorcerer are both CR 2 encounters

Thanks very much Sir .

Can someone please point me where to find the CRs of NPC classes. For example what is the CR of a level 3 Warrior, and is it equal to a level 3 Adept? If there is a general formula, I will be happy to learn it :)
Thanks.

Hi Sara,

Thanks for your kind mails and information. I have added Pathfinder Chronicles subscription throught the method you suggested. Please make sure that it will start by November goods.

By the way, I recieved the Bestiary yesterday. So the delay in Core Rule Book was definatly an exception. Thanks again.

Regards,
Selcuk

Hi Sara, wellcome ;)

I would like to start Pathfinder Chronicles subscriptions please. Is it possible to include Princes of Darkness: Book of the Damned Volume 1 but not A Guide to the Pathfinder Society ? If that is possible it will be great, if not then please start it with November releases.

As a subscriber of Pathfinder RPG, I would like all my subscriptions to be sent in one package whenever possible.

You can use my usual credit card for expenses.

Thanks for your helps,

Hi Cosmo,

It took 2 months and 10 days :( but today I have recieved my Core Rulebook. Post office gave no explanation for the delay.

In any case thanks for your help. I belive the replacement copy you have put in my account has not been shipped. If it has, then please charge my credit card for all expenses.

I would like to thank you for offering a replacement. It really means a lot for me. I still think "registered mail" option would be great though :)

Sir, as of today two full months have passed since you have reported that Pathfinder Core Rulebook was shipped. Meanwhile I did recieved two parcels that were shipped September 22, but August 12 shipment is missing. If I need to wait for several more months for the confirmation, please send me an other copy immediatly, and charge the cost to my credit card.

Hi, I have recieved a message, stating Pathfinder Bestiary will be shipping next week. Meanwhile I am still waiting for the Core Rulebook. I did recieved the two parcels which were sent late September. They were posted 40 days later then the missing packet. I am beginning to loose hope for the Core Rulebook. What should be the appropiate action ?

Our arrival percentages are really high and since it hasn't been returned to us yet, I imagine that it's still on its way to you. Please give it another 2-3 weeks and if it hasn't arrived by then, we'll go ahead and ship you a replacement or refund you for the books so you can get it thru Amazon.
If I remember correctly the shipping window is 9-36 business days... which means normal estimated shipping window is until either tomorrow or Monday and you always have to give a few days one way or the other for customs and such, not to mention just postal delay.

Actually I have been informed that the order was shipped on Aug 12th. So it is really a postal problem. Infact I recieved the two packages that were sent on Sept 22, today. Therefor all I ask if there was an option for registered mail. I am aware it costs a little more, but it is much better then waiting if it will ever arrive. I will wait till for two more weeks and bother Jeff again.

I am still waiting for order no:1223441, Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook. It was suuposed to be dispatched on Aug 12th. So it is almost 2 mounths passed. :( If registered mail option was available, I would just sit and wait, knowing it will eventually arrive. But now I am just wondering when should I declare it as lost and order a new one from Amazon.

That is actually an other point. When I order Paizo goods from Amazon the arrive much quicker, like two weeks, and much cheaper. I want to support your company but the difference is huge. Since amazon is charging less for postage also, I can just order the harcover from them and buy a seperate pdf from you. Add the long delivery times of Paizo you can understand why I cancelled the previous subscriptions.

In short, please give me a date which I will recieve Core Rulebook, at the latest. Even if pricing policy is beyond your grasp, please add registered mail option, or some other means for more secure delivery.

These might be simple questions but will appriciate answers

Rules state that "If you do not release the grapple, you must continue to make a check each round, as a standard action, to maintain the hold." right under this line it states that "If your target does not break the grapple, you get a +5 circumstance bonus on grapple checks made against the same target in subsequent rounds."

Are these two conditions the same ? In other words does the grappler does the continuation check with +5 and if succesfull able to pin the opponent, or she has to roll to keep grappling and has to roll seperatly to pin.

The second part of the question is; grappled condition lowers DEX score by -4. Which essentially means lowering CMD by -2. If continuation roll and pin rolls are the same, this really means the next roll be at +7 for the attacker.

Personally think that if attacker can pin as a part of continuation roll, the balance is in favor of the attacker.

Thanks for your answers.

Actually I was hoping for a revision of feats for monsters. For characters feat progression is 1/2, instead of 1/3. Giving monsters more flavor feats could have been an option. The examples in "Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bonus Bestiary" does not indicate such an effort so I am a little dissappointed.

For a PDF product 0,5 $ per figure seems a bit expensive. I won't be intrested with 3,99$ price tag :(

Selcuk,

The Pathfinder Advantage not being applied was a bug (and one that Gary has already fixed). I've granted you store credit in the appropriate amount.

I'll reship the missing item in your next subscription shipment. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks Vic. I also would like to order several GameMastery Flip-Mat s. They are listed as backorder. Any idea on when they will be available ?

Normally, either should be as good as the other—we try to answer both within one business day. However, our customer service team is down one person (we have hired a replacement for Corey, but she doesn't start for a little while longer), and Jeff (who's normally the backup) is at Origins. So Cosmo was on his own for the end of last week, and will be on his own on Monday as well, I believe. If my time allows, I'll try to step in and help him catch up.

(I'm sorry that I can't address your issues right now—I'm answering from home—but we'll get you some answers on Monday.)

No problem, I was not expecting an answer on Sunday anyway :) and I am confident the problems will be solved. Thanks for your interest.

About 10 days ago I realized the 15% discount was not beeing calculated. I sent an e-mail, and was told they are still good. Then placed the order but did not got the discount. (order 976551) So one week ago (June 23rd) sent an other e-mail, explaining the problem. Did not get an answer to that.

A day after that mail one of my orders arrived (order 962694) with a missing item. (flipmat Cathedral). Therefor an other e-mail was sent on 25th of June, so far not an answer.

I realize that the Origins might be keeping you busy, and mistakes can always happen in all companies. Although after seeing the posts on these forms answered same day, I wonder if this is the proper way to reflect the complaints. I will really be glad to know how much time should pass for mails to get answered, or shell we use the forms instead of mails.

Best regards

Hi, does anyone know if the paths in this product fit to the ones at "GameMastery Flip-Mat: River Crossing". In other words can these be used side by side? Thanks

Yes but what about the NPC spellcasters ? They are not PCs, they are much more numerous than PCs, and are the one that populate and make the economy of the world/regions the PCs cross. They have all their time to craft magic items after all, they are just waiting for the PCs ;)and to sell them in the shop next to their church or academy.

It's not a question of PCs, it's a question of world environnement balance. With your system, magic items are just a kind of super-quality items. Their is no more the feeling that those items are "special", "magic", "unusual".

I don't like this idea that you can by your magic items in a shop, in my campaign there is no such kind of shops (yes, even for potions and scrolls), and it is easy to explain to my players that those shops can't exist because of the XP cost of the magic items. "So you understand, those items are only crafted on command, spellcasters don't spend their XP at random."

I don't really matter that this "limiting componant" is XP or anything else (like crafting points you would gain a limited amount each level), but magic items should not be considered just super-quality items.

P.S.
To all the PRPG team :
Thanks for your work.

I agree 100%. Please stop looking from player's perspective. With this system every non adventuring NPC can, and SHOULD start producing magic items.

There is a crafting time element... 8 hours for 1,000 gp, if I remember right. So, anything that costs more than that (i.e. a high powered item) will take more time.

Yes and I think that formula should be adjusted, and don't mean 8 hours for 500 gp type of thing. Ordinary items do not cause much trouble for DM, but when Players start crafting high powered items it is getting really hard to control the campaign.

Speaking of time, I wish there could be some activities for other classes to spend non adventuring time, like spell casters do. For example creating magic items might require someone proficient in their use to be present. Like BAB 4 for +1 weapons or armors, BAB 8 for +2 and so on. So creating magic items can be a kind of cooperative ceremony.

Cleric's need DM and Player cooperation. The religion should be defined with as much as detail possible. Restrictions can be a boon for the player. Not just x time of the day for spell prayer; the afternoon of xxx day of the week is my prayer time, I can't adventure; or I need to attend a communal service once a week. Suddenly the group realizes to adapt to the cleric's scedule. Also things like asking a prayer to cleric's god after each healing will make the cleric pivot of the group, thus more enjoyable to play. Since clerics recive spells from their gods, it is only normal that the deities ask something in return. By carefully desining the favors, that burden can be shifted to other players. This can make clerics more interesting to play. In this regard I find the phantelons to be weakly designed. More than any other class they should carry role playing elements, as clerics interact with others more than any other class . I belive the lure is here.

Selcuk,

I apologize for the delayed response to your email, we are just coming off a US holiday three-day-weekend and your first email came right at the beginning of the holiday and your second came in while we were still sorting through the weekend crush.

I am replying to your email right now and we will work through this issue as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
cos

Cosmo,

I am afraid I did not made myself clear. I am not after some kind of refunding. I needed that module immediatly and it was a condition/a part of the order. So I am deeply disappointed. In any case my previous order took 2 weeks to arrive after it left your store. For this I will wait 2 months (not 6 months as it was suggested) to consider it as lost. After that you can do whatever you like with the 10$ credited to my account as I will not be doing any business with Paizo. Pity for me as I had high hopes for Paizo. Perhaps as Bocklin suggested at the forms, next time I need something fast I should fly to London or Berlin.

By the way I think you should put some type of registered mail as a standard option for postage.

Thanks for your answer,

Sincerly,

On May 11th I have ordered Ptolus setting. Before ordering I made 2 phone calls (from Turkey to USA !) and sent 2 e-mail messages, clearly stating I am ordering on the condition that it is sent by UPS (not regular mail) I agreed to pay 132,59 just for postage as speed and safe delivery was curicial for me. 12 days later I recived a message stating that it was sent. So I returned and asked for tracking number. The answer was "ops sory it was sent by normal mail". Now from my point of view Paizo had failed to fulfill its part of the deal. Still trying to be constructive I offered a solution. I was willing to buy an other copy of Ptolus and this was to be sent by UPS. Since I had already paid for the first copy, all Paizo would loose would be the standard shipping cost. Quess what, I am still waiting an answer to my very sensible offer. Twice I wrote to customer relations and still no answer.

In a serious company I would not expect such mistakes. Even if you except the mistake there is no explanation for lack of communication.

For those who wonder the difference between normal post and UPS; it can take up to six months to arrive and that is only if the parcel is not lost. (Which is frequent here)

Note: This message was under a wrong heading, so I carried it here. Sory for duplication.

Hi Selcuk,

Not that it helps you much (and I hope Paizo will kick in and solve this for you), but next time you want to spend 130 USD on mailing costs, consider coming over to Berlin to buy the book. You can get flights for cheaper than that! Or invite me to your home and I will bring you the book. ;-) We'll play some D&D.

güle güle!

That I will certainly keep in mind. Perhaps during this hot summer I might invite you to have a drink at Bosphorus...

You should start a new post for that one and not be under this fairly rude moniker; I think that would speed you to resolution.

Thanks for your kind advice, as I am new to the site, I do not know the proper methods. Will be openning a new one now.
