The Rake

We played Rogue Trader here too.

The Rake

Sarvus activates his power sword.

"For the Emperor! For House Trask!"

The Rake

Guilty of disappearing; but I'm back and ready for one last fight against the BBEG

"Nathan, are you sure that engaging the gellar field will reduce the psyker's power?"

"Or we might just succeed in imprisoning it with us here forever."

The Rake

"Without damaging beyond recovery this very valuable piece of equipment and... oh... endangering the passengers, myself included."

The Rake

"How far is this place in relation to the bridge? Perhaps there is a range, a limit to the psker's powers? Hence, the reason this section remains free of the psyker's influence."

"Also if there is a range why would it not come nearer to this area, unless there is something preventing it from doing so. Perhaps the source of power of the psyker is in the bridge. Tell me have you or any of your shipmates taken something unusual prior to the psyker's usurpation of this ship?"

The Rake

"So what can you tell us which is of mutual benefit and interest?"

The Rake

"Alright, we shall discuss this matter."

Sarvus turns off his power sword.

For Lorayne and Dominik

Spoiler:
Please maintain vigilance. That means guns at the ready.

"Nathan, Brother Malakai, please join us."

Wen't to France for a couple of weeks

Wow!

The Rake

"Thank you , Brother Malakai."

"Now do we have a deal here?"

Bump!

The Rake

"Greetings, people, we come to claim this vessel in the name of the God-Emperor of Mankind so if you have objections to the contrary, keep them to yourselves. But we also have a functioning ship that can transport all of you from this derelict to any part of the Imperium you wish, subject of course to the usual caveat that arrival to said destination depends on the exigencies of the service, mine of course, and business, again mine."

"Now all who wish to serve the God-Emperor of Mankind by explaining what the frak is that thing that has taken over your bridge is, we shall be happy to reward him with an extra round of amasec from the holds of my ship. Any takers?"

How's the lighting condition in this area?

The lights went up, and stayed up at a normal level just as you entered, that caused the ragged cheer from the group of people the child is fleeing back towards and just warned fo your presence...

Call it like daylight...

"Let us approach this people cautiously."

"Initiate first contact protocol."

That means shoot at the first sign of provocation.

"Don't worry, we're... oh, never mind. Captain, lead on."

I'm back!

"After that boy!"

"Be on your guard!"

"Dominik, Brother Malakai, please flank me for maximum dispersion pattern!"

Shotgun and flamer should toast most adversaries.

How's the lighting condition in this area?

"Nathan, how far are we in relation to the bridge?"

The Rake

Sarvus prepares to activate his power sword at a moment's notice.

The Rake

"Access the schematics of the ship, Nathan. And show us the location of the armory."

The Rake

To whatever end, boys!

"I'm right behind you!"

"And if none of you hurry, them evil things will be right behind my arse!"

That's a plus ten encouragement!

The Rake

"Overloading the reactor is absolutely last resort, else this venture has been for naught."

"Suggestions as to bait and anyone know where the nearest airlock."

The Rake

"Guys, what say we trick the enemy into an airlock and blow it out to space?"

Hey, it worked in Aliens.

"We can't fight this thing through attrition. We'll lose."

"God-Emperor forgive that admission of weakness."

The Rake

"Anyone have an auspex?"

The Rake

Sarvus shifts his attention to the grate. "Stand back!" he shouts as he slices with his power sword.

"Hey look!" Sarvus points at the panel, "A way out!"

OK so I took 3 dmg, what does the armor stop? all of it? none of it?

After considering your armor, penetration and your TB, You didn't take any damage.

The Rake

After penetrating armor, the damage is then soaked up by your TB at which point the leftover is then deducted from your wounds.

"Hey look!" Sarvus points at the panel, "A way out!"

The Rake

Sarvus continues hacking away at the blast door.

The Rake

BUMP!

The Rake

I think I already destroyed the door with the sword's power field.

The Rake

Damage (Pen 6) 1d10+8=10, 1d10+8=15

Sarvus uses his sword to slice the door. Twice.

The Rake

This feels like a Zombie Horror Flick.

"I know when we're outclassed! Out of the room! Now!"

"Brother Malakai! Dominik! Lorayne! Covering fire!"

"Nathan, get the door opened!"

Sarvus slashes his powersword at any creature that approach him.

WS (42) 1d100=14

Damage (Pen 6)1d10+8=10

EDITED as per post below

The Rake

"Frak!"

"Everyone open fire! Cleanse in the name of the God-Emperor!"

Init 1d10+4=12

For NevynXXX

Spoiler:
Do you have a copy of Disciples of the Dark Gods?

The Rake

Routine Tech Use 1d100=16

"Oh for the love of the God-Emperor. Let me have a crack at that thing." Sarvus punches a random button.

The Rake

"Nathan, can you pick the lock?"

"Lorayne, Brother Malakai and Dominik take positions in front and at the flanks of the door."

Sarvus brandishes his powersword, "Ready when you are Nathan."

The Rake

Aw, I feel so loved! Memo to self: write bonus into paychecks!

The Rake

I suggest Sarvus flanked Lorayne and Dominik with Brother Malakai and Nathan in the second rank.

The Rake

On my turn.

"Conserve your ammo!" Sarvus moves to engage the nearest enemy with his powersword.

WS (43) 1d100=4

Damage (Pen 6) 1d10+8=15

Can we say I decapitated that one?

+10% to Nathan.

The Rake

"Spread out. Lorayne hang back and secure our exit."

"Anyone know why the temp here is freezing?"

The Rake

"Good work, my valiant comrades. The Emperor approves your actions here today."

The Rake

So we wasted all the creatures?

The Rake

Wow. We just massacred in the name of money and the God-Emperor.

Sarvus assesses the situation to see if all their assailants have been dealt with.

The Rake

WS (43) 1d100=41

Sarvus ignites his power sword and slashes the frost-covered figure heading for him.

Power Sword Damage (Pen 6) 1d10+8=17

Nathan, my pep-talk only adds +10%

"Spawn of the enemy! Destroy them!"

+10% to any test on the next one on the initiative.

The Rake

Init 1d10+3=9

Sarvus peers into the interior of the room as the door opens.

The Rake

"Do that Nathan."

"Dominik and Brother Malakai, cover the door. Lorayne get ready to support."

Still groggy.

The Rake

A little spaced out here. It's been a long day and there seems to be no end to work.

The Rake

"In case you haven't done it, weapons at the ready."

"Curious, no, we haven't seen any bodies."

The Rake

"Sure, no problem, Lorayne," Trask looks at where Lorayne is pointing her bolter, "you know I am always ready to listen to your concerns."

The Rake

"Good point." Trask readies his weapons and is the first one to set foot on the derelict ship.

Tech Use 1d100=18

"Now that legal matter is finished proceed to form up in our agreed upon marching order."

The Rake

Can I use my special ability to improve Nathan's chances of recalling the correct info?

Nevyn, also a point of clarification - we already entered the ship with Trask the first one when we decided to form our marching with Dominik taking point, yes?

The Rake

"We should be so lucky to find the best case."

"Onwards then. Exercise extreme caution and stay within microbead range."

"Nathan, any other info about this ship or its ship class you would like to share with us?"

The Rake

"So we face someone or something with brains and/or skill enough to keep the engines going. You suspect survivors?"

"In any event, ready your weapons."

The Rake

"Ah, thank you Dominik for volunteering to go in first." Trask follows after Dominik.

For DominiK

Spoiler:
Expect a little something come end of the month.
