The triton sends a report to his superiors noting rumours that the Black Pearls are apparently blaming the government for forcing the nomads to attack them, in an effort to frame them for killing the nomads. The Black Pearls are said to be preparing a demand for money to the government if the King wants them to take the blame for killing Blurghoot and his companions.

Once back in one of the city morgues, for examination, the body of the merfolk male stabbed to death with a squeaky yellow rubber duck in the fight wth a Black Pearl torpedo is speedily identified as that of Blurghoot.
An urgent message is sent to the palace alerting them as to this fact and that raise dead/speak with the dead magic seems to be failing with regard to him.
Meanwhile the corpses of two of his companions show up on the city streets in various pieces, showing calling cards of the Black Pearls.

Investigations will proceed once a suitable time has passed to allow events in the palace to 'catch up' with the forward posts detailing his end.
