Come join us.

We've moved all of our gaming to Swords & Superheroes. I realize that may not be popular with everyone, but with our last session, Texas Battle Bunker yanked our table from us with 45 minutes before game start. While Swords may have its issues - we're welcomed there, and I'm not worried about losing a table at the last minute.

That's the short version of the rant. The longer one's at the Meetup group discussion board.

I'm happy to report that our High School group is looking to attend OwlCon. I'm looking into fundraising efforts to help with admission and travel/parking expenses for some of my students that can't swing the $25+gas/parking. So if you see me at a game, trying to hustle M&M's (or whatever), that's why. Don't feel obligated though, the costs are cheap enough I think we can knock it out pretty quickly just at school - all the band and athletics fundraising is already over, so we'll be the only ones "dealing" candy. I'm hoping it'll be fish-in-a-barrel.

I love the idea of fundraising for gaming kids. You know those parents and kids who, on occasion, will be in their little league uniforms trying to fundraise for "nationals"? National what, exactly? Well, anyway - I always said I wanted to see gamer kids try to fundraise to get to GenCon. This is close enough.
