(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

After her last attempt, Sabriel deems the visibility and proximity of her friends to make the shot too difficult. She instaed turns and heads into the Pilothouse to warn Captain Esteban and Faruq about what is occurring down on the deck.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Seeing no other creatures about and giving up on trying to warn the others, she points her hand in the direction of the creature and lets loose another blast of Eldritch Force, which slams into the deck between Triska and the Creature, narrowly missing Orzo.

Eldritch Blast; Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+2+1=6)

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel grabs her Rod from under her pillow, looks at the rain pouring down outside and sighs heavily, before rushing outside. Once outside she immediately turns right to climb the ladder to the Topdeck. She turns to surveys the battle and see if there are any more of the creatures onboard, trying to relay their positions to her friends.

I am better now. Swamped with work, but back into the swing of things. =)

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sorry guys, I am really sick atm. Please DMNPC me for at least the next day or so.

With a grin, "Come on Sabriel - no time for cosmetics and hair-brushes!"

Initiative. (1d20+2=3) Wasn't sure if you'd want an Initiative roll Zoom, (or just make her go last) so I went ahead and did one anyway. Turns out I needn't have bothered. =)

"There's always time for cosmetics and hair brushes love," she quips back with a smile.

Finally getting a handle on what's going on Sabriel moves into a position that allows her to let fly with an Blast of Arcane Power at the nearest creature.

Eldritch Blast. (2d6=8)

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel has just gotten into bed when the creature comes crashing through the door. Her eyes open wide in surprise as she fumbles with the covers trying to climb out of bed.

Just a question Zoom: Are we sleeping in bunks or hammocks?

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Orelan wrote:
"Alas Sabriel, the cards will have to wait."

"No matter, with this storm raging I think the best we can do is get some sleep anyway. Someone would have to be out of their mind to attack in this weather."

She heads over to her bed and tries to hang a blanket. Giving up, she just strips off her dress and throws on a night shirt (although there is not much difference between the two, the night shirt still shows off ample amounts of skin). She then climbs into bed, putting her Rod under her pillow.

Sabriel is not expecting anything and thinks that the others are just being too cautious. Therefore she is not really listening for anything and will not be ready if something goes down. I haven't rolled Listen or Initiative for these reasons.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"Not another game of Strip Three Dragon Ante Orelan. I still have a chill from last time you beat me." Sabriel gives Orelan a playful wink and a laugh.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel pulls at her dress where it is threatening to expose her to the world and hurries into the cabin out of the wind.
"I hope that this isn't an indication of what the entire trip is going to be like," she mutters loudly enough for everyone to hear.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel takes a quick look around the boat and sighs when she sees the quarters she will be sharing with everyone. No more sleeping naked for a while.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"I will be more than happy to sign and pay on behalf of everyone. It is well worth it for the chance to sleep in a warm comfortable bed, have good wine and food and a warm bath for the night."

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"I would like to book your best room, as long as it has an extremely comfortable bed. I would aslo like to partake of a hot bath and if you have the facilities available, a massage as well. If I am going to be living on a boat and in the jungle for the next month or so then by the Gods I am going to enjoy my time before I go."
She looks at Orelan. "As my friend said, we will also be taking dinner here and would like your finest food available. Breakfast in the morning as well."
"How much will that be for all of us, including the bear?"

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel claps her hand excitedly.
"Oh please lets. This town is wretched enough as it is. Let's have a little luxury before we trudge into and endless mass of sticky jungle for a month."

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel once again links arms with Orelan and looks at Triska.
"City is hardly the word I would use, and I would rather see as little of it as possible before we leave. With the leftover coin, maybe it would be nice to see if this place has a decent inn to stay in, one with nice large beds and decent wine in the bar and maybe another bath, that one was too delicious."

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"Oh and I suppose I should get some food for the journey also. Is there somewhere in town where I can get some good quality trail rations and some bread, cheese and decent wine as well my good man?"

Just let me know how much for 2 weeks of Trail Rations, some bread, cheese and wine Zoom, so I can deduct it from my total.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"Just the two potions and this Cloak thank you my good man."
She pulls a coin bag out of her Satchel and hands the man 85gp from it.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Gregor hands over all the items purchased and says to Sabriel, the healing potion will be 40 gp madam.

Bath will cost 1 sp!

" Excellent, do you have any more, or perhaps a stronger draught perchance?"

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"Very well, that will have to do. How much for one of the curing potions? I think I will take one of those as well if I have enough left."

Zoom, how much would the bath have been, so I know how much she has left to spend from the 280gp.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel walks in and acknowledges the man with a nod of her head. She has a quick look around, then walks over to the man as she hears Orelan recite his list. Standing snuggly close to Orelan, she leans over his shoulder and says to the man, "I don't suppose you have one of those Waterproof Cloaks that is mildly stylish do you? I don't just want one that looks like it's made out of a tent."

Who's greg vaughan?

The guy who actually wrote this adventure, so yes I would say it definately has a little to do with him! =)

Sabriel spends a relaxing couple of hours at the bath house and then gets directions to somewhere she can purchase supplies. She is directed to Vaughan's Outfitters in Free Trade Square. She arrives there as the others are purchasing their equipment.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Sabriel wakes up and pats the bed next to her, sighing and grabbing her throbbing head. "I hope they have some decent wine somewhere in this Gods forsaken town", she says to herself and then winces at how loud her voice sounds.
Standing up naked, she notices that her window is open and faces another open window across the street. Giving a cheeky smile to the startled old man across the way, she walks over and picks up her dress, gives it a sniff and then decides to pull another one out of her travel bag. Doning it quickly, she heads downstairs to the main bar and asks the bartender where would be the best place in town to get a good bath.

She drains the rest of her drink and looks at the rest of the group. "I, for one, am in. Are we in agreement?"

"Certainly. It will no doubt be incredibly dirty work, but if it gets us out of this hellhole then by all means. I for one am going to use part of our eqipment money for a bath. It may be the last one I get for a while, so I'm going to make it count. Orelan, be a dear for me and buy some bread and cheese, along with some wine as my supplies for the trip while I am gone."

She turns and looks at Orelan with a playful grin on her face. "That is of course unless you would care to join me in the bath, then I'm sure Triska would get them for me, wouldn't you sweetie."

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

"And is that 20gp per day plus expenses?" Sabriel flashes him a charming smile. "A girl has needs you know".

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Triska of the Shundar-Quah wrote:

"Who cares? It's a free drink! I will gladly accept!"

Triska heads into the bar.

Sabriel smoothes out her dress as she walks towards the man.

"Too true Triska. Plus, we definately need a job to pay our way out of this," she turns to the man with the snake emblem, "no offence, stinking hellhole. A free drink and the possibility of work is worth a detour."
She walks over and slips her arm into Orelan's as they prepare to follow the man and his bodyguard.

The large reptile moves to take flight. Another blast from Sabriel hits the creature in the head swaying it but it still manages to lift off the ground just barely.

Seeing the creature take flight, Sabriel attempts to hit it with another blast before it can get too far away.

Eldritch Blast; Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+2+1=22)
Eldritch Blast Damage. (2d6=2)
I go from MAX damage last round to MIN damage this round... booo!

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

A smile spreads across Sabriel's face as the beast roars in pain at her attrack. She lines up for another blast and lets fly with a wild laugh, flinging her hand in the creature's direction.

Eldritch Blast; Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+2+1=10)
Eldritch Blast Damage. (2d6=12)
Hope that one hits, max damage!)

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

Heartened by her success at annoying the creature, Sabriel once again focuses and the purplish black ray shoots from her hand, striking the creature once more.

Eldritch Blast; Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+2+1=16) Eldritch Blast Damage. (2d6=8)

Im sorry, I looked at the wrong number so you did indeed hit the beastie! Also the beast is 30 feet away from all of you!

heh, heh. No problem, I was thinking this thing had a monstrous DEX/AC for a sec.

Sabriel hands point at the creature and tries to deliver her own attack but misses by the smallest of margins.

So ends round one! Make your next actions!
Sabriel, where is the info on the Fiery gaze? I can't find it but might be looking in the wrong book.! Thanks!

Wow, that thing has a Touch AC higher than 13/14!!! I was sure that was a hit. It must have some nasty DEX. =)

Fiery gaze is a Celadrin Racial ability. It's just a 1/day Scorching Ray.

Sabriel is visably frustrated as the fiery ray shoots past the creature. She again points her hand at the creature, but this time a purplish black ray shoots out from her hand in an attempt to strike the creature.
Eldritch Blast; Ranged Touch Attack. (1d20+2+1=17) Eldritch Blast Damage. (2d6=9)

Init order so far

Sabriel???

Initiative. (1d20+2=6)

Sabriel takes one look at the creature and waves her hand in it's direction staring intently at it as she does so.

Fiery Gaze; Ranged Touch Attack (I am assuming it is within 30' and so added in Point Blank Shot). (1d20+2+1=14) Fiery Gaze Damage. (4d6=13)

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

After seeing the stares of the men as she walks along with her companions, Sabriel pulls her cloak around her shoulders to hide her feminine curves until the time to use them arises.

"Let's find a "nice" place to stay, if one can be found in this flea pit and then head over to see if we can pick up some work from a Merchant Consortium."

Just noticed this thread, thought I should say something: It would appear that some people are missing backstories. Was this the intention of the game?

Yeah I haven't had time to write up my stuff. I have it all on paper, so I'm good to go, I just have to get enough time to put it all in my profile.

(Female Celadrin Warlock 3)

OK, so here is my character.

I'll write the stats up over the weekend and be ready to start next week.
