I move that we have a bit of a meeting on the PBP thread to discuss the sequence of events so that we do not break the momentum we have built.

Rufinus cracks a smile and looks visibly relieved that he will not bear financial responsibility for the stranger. Seeing the legionnaire and sprightly Hibernian eying the alley, he says "I can carry him alone. it is easier on his wounds. Go look for his attackers if you will so"
He takes a tin pan out of his toolkit and puts it under a trickle from the roof to collect water and brings it to the doctor.
"My name is Rufinus, late in the possession of the Galsii. Janus smiles on a man who has no coin, if he finds a doctor who wants none" "Let me know when you need help to carry him. He is light." He does not offer his hand to the doctor, as there is probably blood on it.

Rufinus has taken off his poncho to lay under the wounded man. He is bare-chested now. His back is a riot of scars.

Water or light, you need?"Realising that he is babbling, he just moves back embarrassed at the attention.

Rufinus tries to gently catch the man, saying "I am friend, I will help" to him, but looking and listening for his assailants. If he cannot see or hear any, he will bellow "Help here. A man is bloodied!"

Rufinus lifts his hands gently to show they are empty, and steps back from the startled nubian. "I am one of me, friend, and meant no offense. I just felt it would be unseemly to approach the gentlefolk. "
He walks toward the wealthy goth, persian and legionairre, gathering his things from the pillar, but using his hammer like a walking stick to avoid attention.

I hope this character sheet passes muster. If there is anything you would like me to edit or add, please let me know. I am also unsure how to make dice rolls with Rufinus in invisible castle. Is there an f.a.q somewhere that explains the protocols in a PBP?

Rufinus makes sure his hands are visible and sets his huge hammer against his sack by a pillar. He is trying to see what this gathering is about. His eye is caught by an imperfection in the marble that looks like a bird. He awaits the Nubian's reply, but nods toward his countryman with respect.

putting down a bundle of tools wrapped in sackcloth, and wiping the rainsoaked hair from his eyes Rufinus, a tall scarred and beaten man looks at the gathered and shrugs with a deprecating smile. Hunching to be less threatening, he walks up to the Nubian porter and says "Ave friend. What is this gathering?"

I need some clarification on point buy. I regretably don't have a PHB on me at the moment, and the SRD does not include character creation rules. Please give a short form summary of how I should proceed.
