Why is this a Rogue class feature instead of just how Finesse weapons work? D&D 5e figured this out like 5 years ago, guys.

Hey all, I'm Chris Koch and I'm just dropping in here to plug the kickstarter for our upcoming book: Thunderscape: The World of Aden. A quick reading of the text seems to say no. Does anyone interpret it differently? *Should* they be allowed to use metamagic?

What the title says. I'm well versed in a wide variety of systems, though my favorites at the moment are 4e and Pathfinder. If someone in the NC Triangle area would like another face at their table, let me know!

My question is simple: Since the sorcerer has no spellbook, does the "cast a spell out of your spellbook" feature of the Item Arcane Bond not function for Sorcerers?

I searched this forum for Arcane Bond questions but found no answer.
