"Odd birds. Have a hard time thinkin' they'd start that fire, though. Let's go upfront and see what's up." Roach slides off the morse's saddle, grabs his rifle and jogs towards the fron of the refugee line.

Roach saddles his morse in silence - the thought of a gassy porkuswine is too horrible to contemplate, even for him. Sticking his AK-47 into his saddle holster, he mounts up and rides over to the other party members.

Roach shakes his head as the big bird bounces past him at a full trot. "Yo, Cola, does the Colonel lay eggs? Or does he just wake us up at daybreak?"

"Good stuff. I'll go get my morse, and we'll be off."

"Me, I was thinkin' east. Go to Greenfield, follow the ole highway down ta Hartford and then the sea. Move to Nu Ork along the coast."

"Ain't that the truth. You can't never have too much ammo. I'll go saddle up my horse."

"No offense taken, 'cause you're right - the Confederacy never had their s&$~ in order. We'll need to be smarter than them to win this fight. I'm tired of runnin' from them Wreckers, but we need allies more than raiders going out to snipe at the approaching hordes. I'm in."

"Thanks, biggun."

Roach eyes the Nu Ork Irregulars tent for a while. The offer was tempting, and he had a big bone to pick with the Wreckers. Hell, if today's meeting went nowhere, he might sign up with the Orks. Better hear the smith out first, though...

What the hell could this be? Deciding that it was probably militia business, Roach resignedly heads off for the smithy. Being in the Watch brings both benefits and burdens, it seems...

"Nah. Tobaccy's for chewin', not smokin'."

"That's a nice shot. Ya missed the apple, though."

*Takes some chew*

"Thanks. You's good people, Coca."

"I like your attitude, big fella. Them Wreckers sank my boat. They've got some payback comin'."

Roach nods at EVA's explanation of the Colonel's love of Coca-Cola. "Yah. Sounds right to me. Nice club ya got there, big fella."

"Where d'ya find yon giant chicken? I ain't never seen nothin' like it before."

"I was born in Old Cleveland. Spent the last years with the river people on the Erie Canal."

"Mos' people call me Roach, 'cause I' so damn tough. My momma calls me Cockroach, though. She's a nice lady"
