Great lists, Righty! People often forget the mundane and alchemical goodies that can help you tackle situations. Every Lamplighter should take note!

I usually would add a ranged weapon up front, but I guess the club and daggers can be thrown. A big bag of sling bullets gets heavy for some folks, and daggers or clubs can do double duty.

It was recommended to post by one of my friends for reference. Mainly as I tend to use equipment for that little plus.

You're correct in my approach, due to the typical range in PFS thrown weapons are generally enough at level 1. Your specialist archers have to save up for their starter bow. Gunslinger get a gun... My fighters eventually pick up a crossbow by 2 (not that I can hit w them)... But for level 1...

I'm also thinking primary weapon is already planned. The dagger/club combo are bonus weapons (tools)

What about a sling, man (elf)? What about a sling?

I've had poor luck w the slings and crossbows of outrageous fortune. Doesn't matter the bonus I have just lots of 1's

Sovereign Court

Level 5+ its focus time - by now you know what your other team members are doing so you fill in what they dont prep.

alchemicals go to fire, cold, electrical, and acid (5 each) unless you're a caster - I'm often not.

potions\oils
I like silence, barkskin, spider climb

alchemicals
I add twitch tonic, sooth syrup, and bladeguard, sometimes I add alchemical glue and accelerant. Stick someone small to a wall - for a nonmagical magic mouth.

scrolls
fly, daylight, remove(various)

Sovereign Court

Level 3-4

Crowbar
potion of mage armor (you don't wear it all the time)
finer clothes = you be the judge of fashion
mw manacles & a lock (I sometimes forget to buy the lock - buy one.)
2 wrist sheaths - if youre into wands or semi hidden daggers.

ranged weapon - class dependant, something in the 100' range.

Pack mule - Porter, Riding Dog, or similar - now you can afford the finer things in life.

Medium Tent
2 folding chairs
fine wine (bribes, trade, etc.)
absinthe
common wine
10 days of rations
4 waterskins
jar of honey
cooking kit
gear maint kit

Tabard - for your porter.

weapon - usually starting with cold iron
now is the time to consider silver, mithral

fly

wands (if you're into that)
cure light
endure elements
infernal healing (morality dependant)
shield
prot evil

2nd level spell - sense vitals, increases your sneak attack dice pool.

Sovereign Court

By all means Qadiran regale us, open up the keg of Dreng's secrets and pour us all a pint.

Sovereign Court

Burp...oh excuse me. May need a bucket soon.

Sovereign Court

Yeah Pathfinder, don't bother trying to rob me, all my gear is checked into the lodge...guess you could abduct me, but the kids would rather I was dead to hasten the inheritance. Glory would probably pay a few copper to stick me in the ground..if you're into that sort of thing.

Wounds, you'll get plenty of that in this business. We should be called Pharasma's doorstep for the horrors we dispatch you kids to face. Probably doesn't market well.

I'm a magus trickster...somewhat an evangelist for dear Calistria. Most of the time I'm just one step ahead of the headsman.

I was retired before Lefty brought me back into the grinder....but if I didn't watch out for him he's be hhalflingburger.

Sovereign Court

"Eh...?" The elf's eyes go out of focus. "Nothing a few bottles of fey wine won't cure. "

His clothing though richly made shows signs of recent battle. The damage appears to have started at his shoulders and worked It's way down...as if he'd been....eaten. The elf mutters.

"Lefty says let's go hunting, plenty of treasure, easy job, just my thing. Knew the game was on when Glory approves the mission. Baron Jaquo wouldn't have me served as an appetizer. One minute here next in some damn beasts guts, then heckle n heckle bake me like a duck in a turkey. While that Razmir fellow pulls me out of Pharasma's..."

"Hey you play good" he ignores the glass and drains the bottle of wine. Shakes it at the barman and says, "keep em coming.."

Sovereign Court

A smiling, stumbling, elven man in Taldan livery falls into a booth nearby.

Hey, I have silver you have wine. A match made in Celestia.

Sovereign Court

Yay Ucon 2017!

Sovereign Court

The rum occludes my recollections. However my boy took a turn round some bar a few weeks ago. Ran into the old codger slummin on a "stakeout" first thing Dreng asks him for a bottle...well things happened along the way, but Brandy sent him a bottle an hour.

Good kid, none too bright tho - should have charged the bum...

Sovereign Court

Double D's that creepy old vampire that always wanders around with a veritable army of pages. I've never seen him during the day and his disheveled look reminds me of a bum after a month long bender of stale ale and shiver.

I dare say he's neck and shoulders better than Fuzzy bear, but at the bottom of the big Z spectrum on good looks. He's not nearly as inshane in the membrane. Yet seems more honest than Big Bird. Im far more trusting in his motives that captain chaos. But he would smell better with a few gallons of old Glory's perfume.

Sovereign Court

Lefty isnt one for politics. Unless he's lifting some gems from a politician. He a right smart halfling, a bit on the blood thirsty side. I prefer to sap and let live...they might be a steady customer.

Sovereign Court

Half relaxation and half business. No doubt there are an ecclectic bunch coming through here. I was going to browse local chelaxian fashion. So I can fit in when I head into a region. The heavy armor look is all I know from a long ago venture.

Righty pauses and assumes the form of a heavily armored Chelaxian knight. Yet this form draws too much attention. Id prefer a more merchantile persona. Noone cares whatever the merchants do ao long as the prices are not too egregious.

Sovereign Court

The ever changing Taldan elf returns. His hat of disguise has gone, replaced by a diamond ring that shinmers whenever his clothes change. He looks around and settles on Eruzule.

"Lefty sure had a zinger of a mission set so far. Wandering in deserts, hoboing in lakes, and then off to Cheliax next. Can't say I'll be enthused about that venue those folks are just plain nuts."

Sovereign Court

Im partial to blind

Sovereign Court

7 people marked this as a favorite.

Elves take micro naps throughout the day, which is why they dont seem to pay attention to younger races.

Bluff 25

Sovereign Court

At level 1 I tend to sneak when possible shoot and move out of sight..again when possible.

Nothing hurts more than taking out someone on round 1, then having the room focus fire on you, as the biggest threat.

Sovereign Court

Rumor of the Day - Evil druids have set a scheme to invest strange properties to Chestnut seeds. It has been overheard these ensorcelled seeds will produce an especially noxious smoke when roasted over an open fire....

....or maybe Im just alergic to smoke.

Sovereign Court

A silver clad elf bedecked in gold Taldan insignia's laughs amongst his friends at a card table. Seeing the approaching party he calls out, "that took you long enough. Here I'll deal you in."

He flicks cards onto empty spaces around the table.

Sovereign Court

Ninja is another method for ranged sa
Low levels vanish as swift
Lv 10+ greater invis
But the method loses effect with blindsight see invis & true seeing &etc.
Darkness & darkvision vs many humanoids
At low levels ok, higher levels very few enemies lack darkvision
Deeper darkness & see in darkness for tieflings
Goz mask + obs mist / sleet storm (depends on gm)

The key item for a rogue is what to do with (or how to get) no dex touch sneak attack. (Pistols work as an example if you have a level of gunslinger.) No dex AC isnt always an easy hit.

Sovereign Court

Rumor of the day - a great evil shall rise in the pumpkin patch this weekend. It brings a verible army of munchkin servitors to shake down citizens for candy. Pathfinders should disguise themselves as agents of darkness and roam the streets with open bags intercepting bribes meant for these minions of evil.

Be Aware!

Sovereign Court

Offset some of the ATrickster bab penalties with Evangelist. Choose 6 levels of magus with (prescient attack, arcane accuracy, and perhaps go elf for 1/6 level additional arcana (i chose wand mastery) - i prefer 4 levels of unchained rogue but to each their own.

Sovereign Court

Dear brother, in future you should expect your first lie to be exposed. The next should be made of sterner material. Similar to the tabard's of our knights, a thin cloth that is laid over plate over chain over padded undershirts. Deception like an onion, shoukd have layers.

Sovereign Court

You devious little Cad! I underestimated you Silver. How splendid. Have a drink on me, don't worry it's not poisoned. Tried to con ME. You're not the dismal archer you used to be.

Sovereign Court

There is not enough material on the subject of kyonin. But if my opinion matters (however little)

The elf knows he will outlive you by far. The elven mindset is unclear (to me) as a mixture of casual experience and long range planning. So, you really aren't in the long range plan, but is he willing to live the moment.

Sovereign Court

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Or stick on evangelist and have a 3/4 wizard with skills

Sovereign Court

Wait a minute, Silver, why do you want me to avoid this quest?

Sovereign Court

Taldane - Thats is Lady Gloriana Morilla to you. She has no hold on me, my loyalty is.. was.. to Baron Jaquo Dalsine, but I was delayed.. my son Brandy is on the trail of his killler. I dispatched the mind, but I would not leave the blade unbroken.

The mission is not from Lady Morilla. My colleagues requested my participation in a matter of importance to the society. I wont know the details until I arrive as usual. Perhaps you know more than I?

Sovereign Court

Sylvan:
Silver is many things but owner of the narrow house he is not. I have heard of the place, and it would draw his ateention. Unfortunately he follows the opinion that elves are the embodiment of perfection, grace, intellect, and class. He unlike I would be welcome in Kyonin as I have lived my life beyond its borders.

Telessar is the more unstable of the two. His preferred argument is the sword he bears. How anyone promoted him to venture captain is beyond me.

Sovereign Court

Sylvan - speak as you like. I am a language connoisseur, unlike these two miscreants.

Taldane - So Telessar what brings you back above ground. Some petty murder over irrelevance? Or has Uncle Guaril decided he needs you as a bodyguard again. Montjoy count the silverware please, you never know with these two.

Montjoy sighs and pretends to inventory the tableware.

Sovereign Court

(In Taldane) I prefer these good people to (elven - insulting tone) The People, (Taldan) give up your small mind and embrace the world before it passes you by.

Did you inform that maniac Telessar I was planning to depart? If you were not a blood relative I would...

Sovereign Court

A look of disgust crosses Righty's face. He slowly resumes his jovial mask before speaking.

(In Taldane) You speak the common Tongue Silvanus, what brings you beyond the glade in daylight?

I've apologized for that! Sometimes I wish I didn't so steadfastly roll everything out in the open.

I was referring to me, I thrashed some poor folks that got an ill wind countering my normal stealth 1, perception 1 - bad guy is closing his eyes thinking he's invisible if he can't see you routine.

Is the butler a one armed man?

I dont have my copy of vigilantes and villians yet (Im sure it has another name) But that sounds like him (the butler) yes.

In the Common Room, in a flash of firelight, Katisha swirls her cape up from the chair it was laid on and clips it back around her shoulders. Leaning back on the chair the fire seams to swirl around her upper body, almost clothing her in continual flame. Katisha looks around the room, her gaze settling on anyone who might have made the Will save Perception only a 13 and will call out to anyone who seems to have not been captivated - or failing that anyone who looks relatively wealth, "Tell me, what brings you out on such a chill evening? Perhaps you can terry a while at my table and we can entertain each other?"

Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (4) + 22 = 26

Will: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Righty notices the departure, but shrugs it off. Pathfinders wander all over this place, no use herding kittens.

No charge of course when reacuing friends of the society. I do hope the villans were sent along to Pharasma's arms, as you've snatched these from the same location.

I find the local Absolom dark ale is a nice after rescue starter. Those saved should have a few shots of rum on me. Trust me its good to stop the shakes..

(Intentional emphasis on the shakes as his hand twitches and the elf subconsciously rubs it back to stillness.)

[b]My master does not have the lofty heritage of one worthy of membership in the Sovereign Court, but by way of his broad-ranging excursions and his service of several peoples of status from foreign lands, Adhura Snuf has earned high accolades from within The Exchange. I can only say that we aspire to exceed the expectations of both your fine breeding and establishment.

You miss my meaning, the portage of goods is handled by two guilds within Absolom the porters and the teamsters. I hope you're a member of one of these.

Sovereign Court

"Stolen.... A furious "non elven" expression crosses the Marquis's face. Then passes..." the elf's clothing shifts from his regal attire into dark leather armor with a green

"Your employer has chosen his teamster well. You are a member of the appropriate guild correct?"

"I will have this looked into. I have a mission coming up or I would have a pointed discussion with the procurer. Perhaps it will be cleared up before my return. Your employer may collect the payment for this and the prior shipment at the glade. No delay is necessary. You may deliver at our stock room," the elf indicates a side door to the bar with a servant waiting to receive the goods.

Righty accepts the scroll and sends it floating to a waiting servant. He signs the payment note.

"I thank you for your service." The regal attire returns as the elf bows deeply to you.

Sovereign Court

Righty looks over at the newcomers and sighs. Then walks over.

"Now here is something that you don't see everyday. How can we be of service? Does alcohol work for....whatever you are?"

Sovereign Court

Montjoy continuea, "Here is a flight (6x 2 oz pours) of our fall selection. The Eben Glade distillary is having a splendid year due to the favorable weather in the cane fields. Now if we could only keep the Marquis from throwing all our money at the dancers it should be a fine year."

He pauses to brush off a spot of lint, "One does their best to maintain staff decore in these trying times. Do signal me if one of these is your preferred choice, I can bring a followup glass, decanter, bottle, or minor keg based on your preference. Full kegs are available for delivery to residences only...the society has asked us to avoid delivery of kegs to Skyreach or the surrounding areas due to distubences..."

Sovereign Court

Seneshal Montjoy, clad in the livery of the Marqyis du Ruum gold and silver robes with a Taldan crowned flagon insignia strides over. "The show is most impressive today, anything in particular you would like to drink?"

Sovereign Court

Righty seems mesmerized by the dancing. His ardent seneshal taps looks to a darkened corner and taps his head three times. He assumes Righty's post moving about the tables and silently dispensing orders.

Perception 10:
A pseudodragon is playing with a ball of string in this dark corner of the tavern. Dolls, tiny wheeled carts, and other toys are stacked around the alcove.
