Riese grabs the wand and the spellbook to share with Altai later and looks at the fairy....
"I guess you should've decided to help us earlier. You chose to help them so I had no choice but to treat you as one of them. Get over it and be glad you are free and still alive. I must apologize though, I am sorry you chose to continue helping them when rescue was obviously eminent and got yourself hurt. Magnanimous of me, I know, but I felt that an apology was in order."

And gear, Riese likes that wand! Riese will loot the body after kicking it off of the dwarf.

How many are still up and how do they look? Riese doesn't want to waste spells if the fight is being handled well.

(Male human/lizardfolk form Paragon 3 /Evoker 3 (abjuration&enchantment barred) ---15096XP)

Riese backs out of the room and keeps watch for any disturbances in the hallway. He pulls out a scroll and begins fidgeting with it while he wait for the hobbos to die by his companions' hands.

I can drop 5'radius bursts of flame, one per round, all day long. I can use that to blast any swarms that get too close to us. That ought to help out.

Yeah, I've been having pretty bad to hit rolls for this fight. Fortunately, Scorching ray and hill giants is a pretty good combination... However, I have used all my big blasting spells at this point - they are big, tough bastards.

Pearls of power aren't that expense (if you use 1st level spells, like Firebolt) 1000gp for an extra 1st level a day ain't too shabby, and I could teach you Riese's firebolt...1d6 per level up to 5d6 with some ability to overcome SR...

If Riese can see any of the giants he lets loose a Firebolt, "Imebelia de'flar furtion!" 5d6=21 DC18 reflex for half. (If he can't see any yet, he holds his action to do that when they appear.)

So this is the same group who gave me grief over wanting to 'mete out justice' to my former arch-rival. I find this whole action to be most hypocritical and rather ridiculous. If you wish her dead then I would suggest hanging her, possibly with a fair bit of weight tied to her legs or she may flap about in the breeze. I could also just change into my clawed-hand form and remove her eyes and tongue. She likes shadow so much then perhaps we remove her ability to discern shadow and light and her ability to use magic to harm the innocent. Morphs into his lizardfolk form and advances on her with a hand extended.

1d20 9=18 concentrate, 1d20 5=21 ranged touch, 1d6 1=5 damage. Riese concentrates on his wand of cold and sends a bolt at the same guy who seemed unaffected by his Fire spell.

Here is a current map with positions of PCs and baddies.... Can't promise to update them regularly and the quality is pretty basic but I will try to provide some mappage for the fights. It should help. (thanks for the grid backdrop Kruelie!)

I assume it has one of those climbing nets or something similar on the side to let boaters get back onto the ship?

"As for you, Ocean - how about this sequence: You sneak around the rear of the boat and create your distraction, whatever it might be. As you do so, I jam their anchor and he boarding party get on the ship. After that, we just bomb away."

I concur, that is a nice plan. Riese pulls a scroll out and holds it in one clawed hand ready to read it when the time is right.

Formidia Mutacaseur Di! Riese takes the form of a lizardfolk and falls in with Altai.
