Still trying to cope with the die roller, use Perception to try and spot where Ulven went "Rhade looks for Ulven"(Sum: 12)1xD20+8: 4, got a total of 12 since I can't +1 for tracking down here

Looking across to Rees before climbing down the rope.
"Wouldn't happen to have a clothes peg?" he asks her looking down and wrinkling his nose in distaste at the smell.
Rhade then climbs down the rope and heads off after the others using the light source Ulven has as an aid.
Carefully heading towards them Rhade glances around wondering whether to keep using his bow or draw his blades.
Passive Perception check if you don't mind
Rhade moves to catch up with Catalina, Dirdelle and Ulven.
The place foul smelling as it is feels even fouler but Rhade can't place why it should feel so as he moves up beside Catalina and Dirdelle whom can see the half elf thanks to Rees light spell.
"Problems?" Rhade asks wondering where Ulven is.

"Sorry, no such luck," Ree replies with a shrug. "I don't even own a clothesline ... But maybe I can give you something else that will be helpful ... Illuminate!" Ree touches an innocent pebble on the ground, which starts to glow with a bright, white light. "Take it with you," Ree suggests, offering the pebble. "You can never have too much light in dark places, hmm?"
Casting Light on a pebble and handing it to Rhade. Passive Perception check for what's going on on the surface, please; I'd like not to be attacked from behind while the rest of the group is in the sewer. ^^ "Thank you," Rhade nods back at her accepting the gift making sure the pebble is securely tucked beside his holy symbol which is now openly visible.
Am assuming I can do his because the cord thats tied around Rhade's neck passes through a hole in the top of the symbol and is able to hold the pebble and shine its light in front of Rhade as he walks through the sewer below

Baran Caranthir wrote: Rhade wrote: "Do you want to head down there?" Rhade asks Baran looking around for somewhere suitable to tie off the rope. "I'll wait up here and keep an eye on Mr. Chodd. We'll need to get him to the temple to get him patched up and someone will need to notify the sheriff of the attack. A werewolf is a man who turns into a monster and that matches with the markings so we may have found a clue to the attacks and if so the sheriff will need to be notified. I suggest you go down and catch up with the others; an extra pair of sharp eyes will help. If you find something let us know and I'll get someone to escort Mr. Chodd to the temple and come down and join you." Rhade nods back to Baran.

Baran Caranthir wrote: As Baran holds the rope he directs his attention to the others.
"Perhaps hasty introductions are in order. My name is Baran Caranthir and this is Rhade and my compatriot down in the sewer is Ulven. I am a bounty hunter by trade and these two gentlemen are my friends and partners. We've come to Sandpoint in hopes of meeting Shalelu and garnering some information on the whereabouts of a bugbear brigand named Bruthazmus. That was Dirdelle who just went down to join Ulven."
"Do you want to head down there?" Rhade asks Baran looking around for somewhere suitable to tie off the rope.
Rhade tries to discern the tracks of the creature that attacked the butcher trying to figure out where it headed after the attack.
Survival check using the google site linked above,(Sum: 20)1xD20+11: 9
Looking around Rhade notches an arrow to his bow as he makes a sweep near Baran making sure the butcher's attacker isn't still present and just hiding.
Halungalom wrote: "Well, if the person walked in this alley, turned into a wolf, attacked the butcher, then left the alley, exiting as the person; how do you think we could track something like that? I'm sure the local guard would look at you with some suspicion if you went around asking if people have seen a man or woman turn into a wolf." He thinks aloud to himself mostly. After he ponders his question for a few seconds, he shrugs his shoulders. "I've got nothing." "There would still be tracks, unless it was a druid of course," Rhade replies.
invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1849294/Using Heal check to examine nature of Chod's wounds whether it was done by a dog or a wolf and more importantly whether all of the blood thats on him is actually his rather than say animal blood. (1d20+5=17)] Heal check
First time trying this to see if this works okay
Rhade having finished bandaging up the wounded man decides to use this knowledge to see if his injuries may have been hammed up to make it look like he was attacked by something other than a stray dog even as Catalina presses her holy symbol into Chod's flesh.
Looking up at Ulven Rhade whispers calmly in elven," Do not fret that fight you're hungering for will come soon enough, just remember that those present are not the enemy."

Catalina wrote: "Pas!*, I'm no healer.." Catalina spits out as she rushes to the butcher's side, examining the wound. She winces as she turns to face the others. "I dont suppose any of you are?" She inquires. "Better make sure he gets to the priest then," Rhade swiftly replies.
][b wrote: "Well Don't just stand there and let that foul beast escape." [/b] she says calmly while pondering over how to bandage this wound, directing the more martial looking types towards the trail of blood.
*Kinda makin up some Elven obscenities along the way..hope you guys dont mind
Rhade takes note of the scene.
Knowledge/Local rolled a 19+2 for 21, who is this guy?
Heal check on him rolled another 19+5 for 24 so I should be able to tend to his wounds and tell if they're from a wolf, the Perception to see if the creature is nearby rolled a 4+8 for 12, Survival/Tracking effort to see if there any sign of where it went if there was such a creature present rolled a 7+11 for a total of 18 and the last two checks would apply after the Heal skill was used to treat this fellow.
Not going to be able to post any further today so if anything develops Rhade backs up Baran and Ulven and will keep an eye on the newcomers at first in case they're hostile then in case they get into trouble since he doesn't really know what they can do even if the axe wielder is bad news for anyone! Take care!

Noting the sudden increase in light Rhade turns to look over his shoulder and notices the mage stepping across to join them with the glowing orbs of light dancing above her.
He briefly nods in her direction before returning his attention to those in front.
" Looks like Sandpoint's been increasing its magic quota again, I'll keep an eye on our magic using friend," Rhade whispers to his two comrades as he keeps an eye on what the new arrival was doing, which thanks to the light source made his elven comrades sight better but also risked announcing their presence to whoever was causing the problem ahead still Rhade couldn't help shaking his head wondering what else would pop out this night.
Decided to correct since the only one Rhade would notice would be the light casting mage
"Good call. Unfortunately it looks like we might have a party."
Baran glances around as other individuals close on the alley. "Is it just me or has Sandpoint's elven population just doubled?" Rhade mutters in elven as he now notes the mage's race.
And upon seeing the half orcs...
"Looks like either we've got a fight on our hands or whoever is causing that ruckus has an amazing amount of bad luck!" Rhade adds (in elven) as two half orcs approach one wielding an axe the other looking like another spellcaster and since the axe wielder is heading from the same direction as the elven mage Rhade is wondering if everyone flocking in for a bugbear hunt...

Rhade nods back drawing an arrow from his quiver and notching it to his bow as he moves to back Ulven up wondering what idiot was going to have a really bad night tonight.
16+8 for 24 to see and hear whats going on down that alley, was also going to make a Stealth check but with Ulven heading down there Rhade messes up the Stealth check (rolled a 1+7 for a total of 8) so he'll be a little behind Ulven as a result. I should point out the bow won't be aimed at anyone until Rhade can see whats going on

Ulven Dragonskin wrote: Ulven was a young warrior of his tribe, happy and carefree until the dragon came to his village. When the others ran, he stood and the dragon's breath struck him fully, melting away his flesh. Still he stood and his temerity intrigued the dragon long enough for the wizards to arrive. When the dragon was butchered and Ulven's flesh healed as well as it could be, the village presented him with armor made from the dragonhide. But no magic could restore his face or his carefree nature. From that day on he nursed a barely contained core of rage that he uses as a tool to smite his enemies.
Most likely he's in Sandpoint as a layover or possibly to meet up with another player or possibly to hunt down Bruthazamus. He mostly roams the countryside since his scarred face and cold demeanor makes him unpleasant to be around for long periods and scares small children.
As a character, he's quiet, cold and often comes across as angry. His extreme scarring has caused him to doubt his own social skills, so he acts gruffer to keep people away.
Just a thought but if this character is fine any problem if he Rhade and Baran make a trio?
Similar goals they all have some elven link and it sounds like they would have met up and worked together at some point
Aaron Whitley wrote: Baran's background is up and done. I'll probably take some time to polish it a little (mostly clean up the writing in hopes of making it a little easier to read) it shouldn't change much. Right now I am going with the assumption that Baran has been working with Rhade for a few years now and has gotten to know Dirdelle while spending time at the Rusty Dragon waiting for Shalelu to get back in town. As people finish their characters up I may add a hook or two for them in but I'll have to wait and see. Might be worth adding that Baran is the one who normally does the talking whilst Rhade is the quiet type who stays in the background it sounds as though thats more the case from what you've mentioned.

Will put them up again tomorrow if thats not too much trouble? Hey Hopeless. I was wondering if you were interested in having Rhade be Baran's friend and partner in bounty hunting. The Ranger/Rogue duo would probably make for a good bounty hunter team and the Half-elf/Elf racial mix would mean we would likely get along. We could be familiar with the city of Magnamar and its vicinity due to our previous jobs and in Sandpoint in particular with hopes of meeting Shalelu and getting leads on Bruthazmus and Otik Vancaerskin. Let me know what you think. Sounds fine, Rhade is more or less a guide by profession who takes missions according to need so teaming up would make sense.
By the way I've finally managed to get my character up on the profile let me know if its okay have selected three items only one of which is enchanted the other two are masterwork items just want to make sure they're okay.
By the way who's Bruthazmus?

Aebliss wrote: Alright, I've worked my character out. I wish this forum had a pm option so I could send the DM the link to the character sheet ... Have you tried putting it in your profile?
Its really handy and you can create new profiles for each character just check out the My Account bit when you check the profile linked to your name.
Aebliss wrote: Just to be certain, since I can't seem to find the rules in my download of the Beta Playtest right now - how I wish I'd been able to buy the printed version -
1) Do you still get your allotted number of skill points + Intelligence modifier x 4 at 1st level?
No its x1 I made that mistake the first time I designed a character!
]2) In Pathfinder, you do get a feat at 1st level, then another at 3rd, 5th, and so on and so forth? [/QUOTE wrote:
yes.
Now for my question;
1)Favoured classes: do we get to add +1 hp or +1 skill point if we take a level in our character's favoured class?
And
2) any other rules we ought to know about?
Oh right and introducing Rhade the Guide hopefully ready for action!
