Reghar roars his rage. His muscles bulge and veins stand out. Saliva flying in all directions, "The strong live and the weak die! You are weak!" Testosterone induced dementia fuels Reghar's muscles as he squeezes the life out of the yuan-ti.

Rage on; raise hp to 25 for the meantime.

My personal fighting style

Reghar sweeps the Yuanti's limbs from under him, all the while continuing to apply pressure on it. "You will die!"

Rennet wrote:

I'm just dealing with my abandonment issues. Mama didn't love me enough

Can I now attempt to rip the Yuan-ti in two?

Down to 19 hp

Warden of Doors wrote:

Just another grapple check from Reghar to pin the Yuan-ti, please and we'll get on with the next round.

Grapple Check (Pls. Add whatever circumstance bonus you feel is appropriate) (1d20+6=23)

With a shout, Reghar grapples his snakey opponent.

Shortspear damage (1d6+4=5)

With the spear pinned to the floor, Reghar grapples the yuan-ti taking care to pin the hand holding the kukri.

Alright with me. Though once Reghar suffers some damage he automatically rages.

Keegan, Reghar stabbed the Yuan-ti through the thigh and it his plan to simply shove the weapon through the thigh until it emerges to the other side then Reghar slams the point of the spear to the floor. You still need me to make an attack roll?

Not Naga! But Yuan-Ti

Reghar and Rennet

Reghar hears the snake before he sees it, slithering from behind the bar. It has a long body and a diamond pattern on its back. In your darkvision, you can't tell what color it is. You blink, and suddenly it isn't a snake.

The figure's head is long and flat, his eyes migrating to the sides of the skull. They are hairless with a motley coating of scales. With a guttural hiss, it lunges for you, swinging a dripping kukri. You parry it with your wooden shield, which chips a little with the blow.

Rennet rolls across the floor as a scimitar slices through the air where he stood a moment ago, finally embedding itself in the decrepit wall with a thunk. It towers over you, a human face obscured in the dark, a left arm writhing and hissing like a serpent, its lower body a serpent's tail.

Initiative rolls for each of you, please; we'll avoid the group roll since there's only two of you.

Init (1d20+8=21)

Reghar eyes the serpentine creature... a fellow predator. The figure in steel appears to be an ally... for the moment.

Rage On!

Reghar rushes the serpentine creature. Charge!

Charge Attack (1d20+9=20, 1d6+6=8)

If the spear hits, Reghar does not withdraw it from the body of the creature but pushes it in and uses it as a leverage to push the creature backward, a sort of improvised bullrush.

Reghar pokes the carcasses before him with his spear. Past experience has taught him to make sure.

He then takes a look around.

Do I see anything moving in the gloom?

Reghar-
No sooner is Garagan and his "bloods" (whatever that means) stepping off back to whatever they were doing before you commandeered them is there a man near the old crone by the Eel or Snake house, whatever it was named. He isn't very big or strong looking, nor does he look weak. Close-cropped hair (your night vision doesn't tell you what color it would be in the dim Sigil daylight), youthful. As he begins to inexpertly juggle wooden balls, you notice that his mouth and jaw are sealed shut with a black metal plate. Badges and other statements of authority clash on his clothing and you notice a red-enameled shoulder piece from a Harmonium uniform hung mockingly on one of his thin shoulders.

Inside the building, there's a ton of broken wooden tavern furniture and broken bottles and glasses strewn haphazardly across the floor, piled up next to the boarded windows as if bracing for a storm. The wall paper is peeling and mouldy; the air is uncharacteristically humid here. You can see a set of rickety wooden stairs running on the right hand wall up to the second floor. Behind the bar is a shadowy doorway. Flies and various other vermin scuttle through the shadows and the air, most of the activity centered around something behind the bar.

Reghar weighs the threat posed by the mouthless one. Being neither big nor muscled, Reghar dismisses him as one might an insect.

Reghar proceeds inside the building. He cautiously walk through the rubble. Being strong doesn't mean being stupid, he reminds himself. He wrinkles his nose as the foul odor of the room. He notices the activity behind the bar and is curious enough to meddle. Reghar readies his spear and locks his shield as he approach the bar. He peers behind the bar.

What do I see? A body?

Reghar nods to Garagan, the closest thing to a "thank you" he can manage.

"Look for me at the Styx Oarsman."

Reghar then proceeds to the abode of Demogorgon's proxy.

"Very good, Garagan. Lead on." Reghar grins at the two would-be heroes.

"Do this properly and I'd buy you a drink." At the Styx Oarsman.

Intimidate Check (1d20+9=24)

"So what will it be?" Reghar flexes his muscles in anticipation of the coming battle.

Sorry about that. The tattoing is around 2000gp. Leaving 700gp for the rest of the equipment. I'll remove the masterwork quality of the spear, armor and shield to simplify the accounting. If that is alright with you. As to spells, I'll input them now.

Do I get to add the +4 bonus from extreme tattooing?

For the Warden

Spoiler:
"I offer you a world of hurt if you do not do as I wish." Listen Check (1d20+4=16)

For the Warden

Spoiler:

Arriving at the Street of Martyrs, Reghar grabs one weak looking human pedestrian, he flashes his yellowy incisors, “Esao Enoch, do you know him?”

if the answer is yes

“Good, you shall be my guide. Chart the fastest way to his place.”

if the answer is no

“You are less than useless.” Reghar lets go of the human.

Reghar believes that the strong do not whine, so he restrains his honest tongue from wagging and simply shrugs at the instruction being given him by the gith. There will be time enough later to repay the gith.

“You got a bill me can show this Esao Enoch?”

Whether or not the gith gives Reghar anything, he does the following:

Reghar then exits the Oarsman turning into the direction of the Street of Martyrs.

Reghar carelessly strides about the pathways of Sigil. People who might otherwise bump into him turn away as Reghar’s powerful smell is indeed a deadly weapon. But the demon patrons of the Oarsman who habitually breathe sulphur don’t seem to mind.

Reghar thinks that this Esao Enoch is probably a very strong fellow to be able avoid paying his tab for a very long time. Perhaps he should have taken Bron’s axe. Perhaps he will challenge him for the right to own it.

A plan seems to be forming inside Reghar’s simple and brutish mind. He smiles.

Warden, how long before I reach the Street of Martyrs from the Oarsman?

Finally, a chance to spill some blood.

That could work.

James Keegan wrote:

So, how exactly does a half-orc of your stature survive bouncing at a bar for demons? I'd imagine a drunk succubus or balor might be too much for even Reghar to handle.

Oh,Reghar usually comes armed with a lot of holy water. That and the owner has promised that any one who kills my character in the bar will forever be banned from the establishment. (There have been attempts outside of the bar). The owner did this not because it was fond of me but rather good help at a reasonable (cheap) price is hard to find.

James Keegan wrote:
Basically, I'm hoping to figure out the best way to hook you guys together, make things work and avoid leading anyone by the nose.

Perhaps, the others can drop by the Pious Tanarri where Reghar works as a bouncer. What can I say Reghar loves violence....

Keegan, answers to your questions under me profile in spoiler.

For Keegan

Spoiler:
Me believe in "Survival of the Fittest." Was abandoned by human parent to the wilds and fought with tooth and nail to survive. Me slew the great winter wolf (severely wounded at the time) to claim its territory and its hide. Me wear it still. Me found pouchers in me forest and me followed them to cave then me stumble onto door to Sigil. There, me offer me services for hire, as bouncer. Background supports feats Endurance and Diehard, you agree? Also, can I get the ritual scarring, as per Dragon Magazine? Can't recall issue at the moment. :D

BTW, Keegan, there are animals with at least 31 Str, i.e. dire bears. Hence, +8 Str from aspect of nature alternative not that overbalanced, especially with the appurtenant penalty.

Also, any definite rules on character generation? Just excited :D

Does anybody want to be my human vikings' half orc (somewhat fraternal) twin brother?

I might actually consider this. I've never played a half-orc, and the idea of a half-orc viking appeals to me. I have all the 2e Planescape boxed sets, but have never used them, so I'm really excited about this game. And I must admit that while I think the setting is great, planar races don't usually excite me all that much, hence the willingness to play a half-orc... Haven't quite had time to think of a class, though...

Me already playing half-orc druidic avenger (druid variant), see above. Me can tie up me background with the human viking. :D

Radavel, I'm fine with the druidic avenger.
