Reason looks up from his desk, almost hidden by stacks of books and scrolls.
He loosens his neck, shoulders and tail, and straightens his ink-stained cravat before looking about the room.
"I hope they are all intact, wherever they are."
He sighs pensively, but within moments his thoughts are entirely consumed by the illuminated manuscript before him.
Cheers, all
I am happy to be of service.
:)
Sorry, two conventions in 10 days.
Reason is pleased that Kia has volunteered, as he was at a loss as to who was best suited to duel without causing offence.
Reason attends the duel, still trying to decide which of his companions is best suited to duel the roachling.
Reason pops an egg in his mouth, then looks longingly at the desserts as he is led away by Rhanshinu.
"Ah well, they are just desserts..."
Reason forgoes attacking the circling ravens, feeling a kinship with them, but sprinkles the liquid about.
Feeling slightly queasy at the sight of the spoiled meat, he sticks with the mushrooms.
Reason bares his fangs as he is pulled away from his meal, but his expression quickly clears.
"Oh, certainly, I should have no problem helping with the Charm."
Heal, including the -4:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

"Oh... meat!!!"
Reason dives into the lamb, lamprey pie, and succeeding poultry course with an enthusiasm which may surprise his companions, but highlights the usefulness of his fangs.
Reason, his mind already foggy from the cordial, is dazzled by the dance.
Save:1d20 ⇒ 12
Reason catches Rhanshinau's look, and examines Arianwyn carefully.
Insight, Heal: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
He watches the toasts with interest, and in an uncharacteristic gamble, chooses the King's Cordial.
Reason slurps his soup with the appropriate amount of gusto.
Insight1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
Reason chooses the more cautious route, and to wear the offered vegetation: flower in his lapel, wreath on his head.
Insight: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Reason will be sure to have his Holy Symbol available, unsurprisingly.
"Please ensure that the tailor is aware of the necessary physical accomodations.... I would hate for them to rush to refit the trousers."
Reason waves his tail meaningfully.
Reason digs out his Parthenon outfit from the bottom of his backpack, and holds it out towards Fanderol.
"Would this be appropriate attire? ummm... it may need some cleaning."
"Perhaps it will be less likely without my dancing."
Reason equivocates, "I don't know if I should be more concerned about the prohibition against armour, or overjoyed at the prohibition against dancing."
Reason looks around for approval, grinning.
Insight: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
Can Reason aid Tutavak? If so, Insight: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
Reason will demonstrate all of his At Will and Encounter Radiant powers... I think that's 6 :) Apparently, he is also prone to showing off... one sin he missed.
"I suppose that I sometimes lose my temper, think less clearly, and become vengeful. Failing to consider my actions carefully could be considered evil. And there have been times where I hoarded knowledge rather than ensuring it was spread."
Reason will gladly perform the ritual for Ixu at earliest opportunity.
Actually, I think Arainwyn spontaneously teleported back to the chamber where the duel was :)
"That certainly sounds like a fascinating ritual, but are you sure that it is a wise trade? Perhaps I could look at the ritual, regardless?"
"Err... perhaps it is a better idea to forestall bathing until after we squish the horde of bugs?"
Reason looks around at his companions, assuming they must all know what we speaks of.
"Ritual? What ritual do you need? Does it have to do with the roaches?"
Reason looks around, bemused.
"Leader of the Raven Faction? Is that what they were fighting about?"
"Ummm... I can try to talk to him, but I may have more luck with a stranger..."
"Roaches? Is there a particular variety that you mean?"

"My most profuse apologies, Rhanshinu. I do hope that my error does not offend. Surely, we can discuss areas of mutual interest?"

Reason approaches the deva.
"Excuse me, you are Lord Revich? My friend Narin mentioned that you were leader of the Lords of Light, and his brief description made it sound as if your goals coincided very nicely with those of my own worship of Ioun. Can you please tell me more about your organization?"
He hardly seems able to contain himself, now that he has a chance to speak with a possible source of knowledge without interruption by combat.
"I don't suppose that I could make a couple of impositions on you, Narin?"
"After my companions and I finish our business here, would you do me the honour of accompanying me for a meal at the Parthenon?"
"And perhaps you could introduce me to Ranshinau?"
"Friend Narin," Reason begins in a conspiratorial whisper, "who is the deva watching us? Also, my fellow tiefling yonder?"
"I'm afraid that I have no authority within the Parthenon, but I am always pleased to introduce my friends."
Reason fidgets, still looking for his place in all of this.
Must the cheating be noticed by the opponent, or could a particularly alert observer out the cheater? ;)
"Oh! Thank Ioun!"
Reason is more than happy to dismount from his horse and follow Puzzletooth to the stable, while trying to work the saddle-induce kinks out of his tail.
Reason would also have whatever status he has earned within the church of Ioun... I suspect he thinks he is looked down upon there, but may be more well regarded than he believes.
Member of the Parthenon?
Post-Rest Status: 69/74 hp, 1 surge used, AP used, used Cure Serious and Beacon of Hope.

Er.. does that include the healing Kia gave you? because, if you are not going top use it, Kia will keep it for later.
oops... 69/74 hp, 1 surge spent

Outpale? Expale?
Reason calls on Ioun to help him extract himself from the spikes.

I think that succeeds. HP 51/74
Rev DM wrote: You still have a move, Reason. Are you climbing out? DC15 Athletics to get half way up. Was I not immobilised until the save at end of turn?
Reason heals himself, then attempts to escape the spikes.
Cure Serious: 2 surges + 5.
Save: 1d20 ⇒ 5

No problem, Whiteclaw. I was just looking for something to add to my post :)
Bloodied 20/74 hp
Reason's jaw drops at the withdrawal of his gnoll companion, and he prepares for the coming giant onslaught.

Reason moves to the edge of the pit, where he is surrounded by giants, but can aid Whiteclaw. The heavens strobe as he calls on Ioun's power several times in rapid succession.

What is Reason's new location after the moshing?
Reason ignores the ineffective giants, and moves forward, striking at the remaining haunt.
