Hi, Sally. And how short are your pants?
Downer Rocks! Thanks for posting here, Kyle.
Paul McCarthy wrote: How about the logo, Mr. Glenn? Is there anyway to get rid of the hideous, 70's retro title font? The rest is fine, I can pretty well deal with everything thrown my way because it is a great magazine. It seems to be the consensus the logo should change. Hardly. As long as the content remains great, I could care less what the logo looks like. If the current logo help attract new readers, so be it. I personally prefer the new format's covers to the old - less clutter and more showcasing of the artwork.
I would have to agree with Snotlord (I'm considering adopting that for my son's new nick-name), anything by Chris West is well worth it. I do not think that descriptive text is needed for Maps of Mystery, but if it ties in well to a particular Critical Threat, great.
Best Wishes, Matt.
I don't know about the bunches o' Trolls, but the Tree Troll was in Dragon issue #299.
My guess would be customer service:
customer.service@paizo.com
They've always been very helpful in may experience.
Will the APII contain rumors like the first one? I continually fed one of my players rumors about the "tentacled lake-monster" thoughout the early installments of the Shackled City path, so much that they didn't believe it was true. It made it so much more fun to spring the bad boy on them in "Foundation of Flame"...

Then you should subscribe :)
I do... In fact, my copy of #115 just arrived in the mail today.

bg2soatob wrote: Articles like Campaign Components, or world-building articles such as were found in dragon #293, would be preferrable to me than three long adventures a month. Actually, the adventures in the new format are now shorter than previous ones, so that there can be three of them every month and to fit all the other good stuff Medesha just mentioned.
I have to agree with Medesha, I can never get enough adventures. And even though I could make up my own, it would be hard to find time between working 55 - 60 hours a week, spending time with my 4-year old son, and, oh yea, sleeping, too.
Also, I would have to add that while you "can" find adventures online, they are very rarely as good as what Dungeon offers every month and the art & cartography are not even comparable, IMO.
Thanks Sean and James. My party includes a paladin of St. Cuthbert who has the Smoking Eye template and he has been seriously freaking out about it. I can't wait to make it worse for him...
Oh, and was there any mention of the Order of the Silver Dream? I was most intigued by them in Mhad's description in "Lords of Oblivion".
Sean, thanks for the review. Could you share a bit more about what you thought of "Stike on Shatterhorn" if you don't mind? How are the remaining Cagewrights portrayed? Are Mhad or the Order of the Silver Dream mentioned? Are there more considerations for characters with the Sign of the Smoking Eye template as there were in "Thirteen Cages"? Despite not having a good hook or set-up, what did you think of the remainder of the adventure?
And Kristof Jurgensen is supposed to be a male cleric of Pelor, right?

There's supposed to be one like it for each upcoming issue.
I have yet to run "Thirteen Cages", but will be in the coming weeks. I do not have any problem with it, nor do I think with any stretch of the imagination that it has "ruined the path", but I can see where some folks may have issues with the Cagewrights' tactics.
Is this what you are refering to by a "glaring problem"?
Erik Mona wrote: By all means give your suggestions. We're very open to them. What authors from the last couple of years of Dungeon have you thought well of? Which do you think would do a good job on the new Adventure Path? Chris Perkins, Chris Perkins and, let's see... how about Chris Perkins.

I'll second that request.
Thanks, I needed that.
I was clicking on the "more" link on the products page for issue #115 and it just brings up the same page again... I'm assuming that's not supposed to happen?
I was hoping to read a little blurb about "Strike on Shatterhorn" and about the Eberron adventure.
Can anyone give me a clue?

Absolutely fantastic!!!
James Jacobs wrote: One thing to keep in mind about the Cagewrights in "Thirteen Cages" is that they're all a little (or a lot) crazy. They may know that the PCs are on the way, they just don't care or don't think the PCs can do much about stopping the ritual. Thanks for stopping by and joining in the discussion, James. I think that the tactics for the Cagewrights in "Thriteen Cages" are interesting (even comical in some instances), and it should be fun to determine, on the fly, how some of them will react to the PC's intrusion.
My players will be so happy with the fact that they are finally able to confront the Cagewrights, that they will care less if thier tactics are "strange"...
By the way, my players still HATE Tongueater with a passion. He really handed it to them in the Lucky Monkey. Thanks.
I use some of them, especially the urban maps for impromtu street encounters. Most of the others are scattered around here somewhere...
Hey, Jake. Just wanted to give you a friendly reminder about the Stormblades: Campaign Seed in #113 "Foundation of Flame". It states that the Stormblades whereabouts are to be explored in an upcoming adventure. Using them in "Thirteen Cages" sounds like a cool idea, but hopefully it won't conflict with the upcoming story arc.
Having said that, I really like how you've used the Stormblades in your campaign. IMC, the PC's and the Stormblades are bitter rivals. In fact, the leader of the PC's group was given a nasty facial scar by Todd Vanderboren when they were kids. Since their emergence in Cauldron, the two groups have been always trying to one-up each other, but have yet to actually fight...
Thanks alot, Vic.
Forgive my ineptness, but I was wondering if there is any way to see information on future issues of Dungeon? On the "old" webpage, you could select the upcoming issue and see blurbs about the adventure, ship dates, and even sometimes the cover. Can this still be viewed on the new website. I have been unable to find a similar page and was wondering if anyone else had been able to locate it.
Thanks.
While I am looking forward to the 2 Eberron adventures written by Keith Baker in the upcoming issues of Dungeon, I would not want to see a flood of them (or Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance adventures, for that matter) in the pages of Dungeon. I think Erik's plan to use mostly generic settings for adventures is a sound one that will satisfy most readers. Adapting existing adventures to other campaign settings is pretty simple in most cases and, to me, it's fun as well.

Hey Jake. Good to see another ENWorlder here on the Dungeon Boards.
Thanks for sharing the symopsis of your groups experience in House Rhiavadi. That was very interesting, I would have loved to have seen it.
I really likes Demonskar Legacy as well, but I think my favorite installment was the first. Life's Bazaar was such great start for the campaign - plus I love Dark Creepers and Dark Stalkers.
My group has just finished Foundation of Flame and are itching to get to the bottom of the Cagewright's schemes.

Hey, you're right. It does look like there should be a thrid part. Let's hope we see it soon. Christopher West's cartography is incomparable.

Hey MerricB, how's it going down there. I was thrilled with the format and content on #114. I haven't ran the IoD since my AD&D days, but reading through the backdrop article by Gary Holian and the adventure by Greg Vaughan has sure got me specualting a return trip...
Neomorte wrote: Will all of the maps from the Shackled City adventures be available online? I want to run the adventures for my group and it would help to have the maps without relying on the magazine for them. Yes, that would be great. Or perhaps a single module-style book with all of the installment of the adventure path bound together???
So the Cauldron adventure path is two issues from finishing its wild ride. My players and I have absolutely loved it, how about yours? How do you think that the path will end? Which installment of the path has been your favorite advneture?
