You awaken to a sharp tapping at the door of your chambers. Dusty sunlight filters between the cracks in the drawn shutters and illuminates the small, crescent shaped room. A single desk lies against the window, looking out onto Nisroch bay. Scrolls and open books are scattered across the desk, a large wardrobe and chest also occupy the room. A second set of raps at the door followed by a muffled voice, ”Sister Anya? Brother Andrell wishes to speak with you.”

Hi,

I am really wanting to subscribe to the Paizo Adventure Path products however I live in the UK. I am wondering if anyone has an idea of Shipping costs or any extra fees?

Even better if someone has an idea of total approximate cost in pounds sterling for subscribing to the AP would be fantastic (Including shipping)

Hi all,

I've been running RotRL and currently up to the Hook Mountain Massacre. My group has just cleaned out Fort Rannick.

I really like the look of the part 4 the Heart of Sadness, however it doesn't really give you much to work with, maybe two or three pages of minor details.

I would really like to beef this section up a bit and have thought about making the interactions more like the haunts in foxglove manor and tell the story of Myriana.

Anyway has anyone improved this section or have any suggestions on doing so because as written it feels like its missing out on so much potential.

Hi all,

I am looking to build a two weapon dagger attacker, mainly looking to dual wield daggers in melee able to throw them if possible, although I am happy to fall back to crossbow for primary ranged attacks. Doesn't need to be fully optimised (I would prefer to stay away from Rogue if possible).

Main feel I am going for is Kalam out of Malazan book of the Fallen. Does anyone have any build suggestions, what class best stats to use etc? Should I use different weapon to daggers but have the same feel?

Thanks for any advice.

Currently playing as a CN 8th level Wizard and I would like to take improved familiar next time I get a feat and I was wondering if anyone had advice for the best ones to choose.

I have a really simple question that me and my friends just can's seem to answer for some reason. I get the feeling the answer is obvious...

So we were looking at the cure spells noticed you can get a maximum bonus of +10 on CMW. +15 on CSW so on so forth.

My question is how do you get to these maximum numbers?
i.e. how can you get a 3d8+15 on you CSW spell?

I was a little confused because the spell description says you get +1 per caster level.

Sorry if this question is a little dumb.

I've just gotten a bunch of players together and when I asked them what sort of game they were interested in they said they would prefer an open world/sandboxy style game.

So I started with a couple of scripted encounters to get them introduced to the loose plot that will govern the campaign and then I basically gave them the map to the Inner Sea of Golarion and said where do you wanna go.

So basically I was wondering if any body had any tips for running this type of campaign, how much should I prepare, is there any good ways to develop quests without getting bogged down?

Has anyone had experiences with these types of campaigns and give me their verdict on what went well and what went wrong?

I also wondered if there was any good ways of simulating travelling without it getting a drag, because there is going to be a lot of it obviously.

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

Hi everyone,

I am looking for players for a Roll20(Virtual Table Top) game in the GMT timezone. I would like to firstly run We be Goblins or a similar one shot to get to know players and them to know me. Then if all goes well I would like to run The Rise of the Runelords AP.

I am slightly flexible in my timings but I would prefer to run on a weekend in the afternoon. I am from the UK and have been playing Pathfinder for just over a year, I am of intermediate experience but not loads of GM practice. If your interested let me know :).

Male Human

Hey Guys.

I will be sending out email's either today or tomorrow with links to the actual game on Roll 20. As well as a special invitation for your characters.

I was unsure what time everyone was wanting the game to actually start as there were so many numbers flying around.

But I think it is 7:00pm UK Time.

Any last minute questions or such?

The Campaign originated as the We Be Goblins module but this has now been completed and we have decided to continue the adventure.

This is being run as a kind of open world adventure where you guys can do anything you wish to. Currently the party is trying to escape Chief Rendwattle after not returning the fireworks.

Currently in the party:

2 Goblin Rogues(Very different styles)
Goblin Fighter
Goblin Titan Mauler(Possible MIA)

Creation Rules:

  • 20 Point Buy
  • Level 2
  • 2 Traits: One Campaign Trait
  • One Bonus Feat.
  • 250 Gold
  • Max HP
  • You don't have to be a Goblin aslong as the Race fits in the party (GM & PC discretion)
  • Most likely classes to be accepted would be Arcane or Divine.

    Link: Gameplay Thread

  • Male Human

So lets have a vote on adventure paths and modules I own that we could run:

  • Council of Thieves
  • Curse of the Crimson Throne
  • Legacy of Fire
  • Rise of the Rune Lords
  • Second Darkness
  • Kingmaker
  • Some Pathfinder Society modules

Also what days would you prefer to play on and at what time?

Characters creation will come once the game is decided :D

  • I have been wanting to play in or GM a game on maybe Roll 20 or something similar for a little while now.

So I wanted to know if anyone else would be interested in this, I was thinking maybe running an Adventure Path Monthly/Bi-Monthly.

I am in the UK but fairly flexible on timing.

I would prefer to play in or run, Rise of the Runelords. But am flexible on that front aswell.

So if your interested just post these things with your initial interest.

    1) Time zone.
    2) What game you would like to play.
    3) Player or GM?

You are all sent a charter:

Be it so known that the bearer of this charter has been charged by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration should be limited to an area no further than thirty-six miles east and west and sixty miles south of Oleg’s Trading Post. The carrier of this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful behavior to be encountered. The punishment for unrepentant banditry remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So witnessed on this 24th day of Calistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov and authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of the Dragonscale Throne.

After days of weary travel and looming threat of bandit attack, you eventually arrive at the gate to Oleg's Trading Post. The Post is surrounded by a wooden Palisade about 10 foot high. As you pull closer the thick wooden gate slowly opens and you see a short man holding in scraps of leather armour holding a spear.
"Get in quick, sit on the bench with the fud. S'nt the boy to get Oleg. He be d'wn shortly." He rubs his thick grey stubble as he speaks, his calloused hands grating against the bristles. Deep wrinkles hide sad grey eyes.

As you enter you see what must be a small market square. You see several buildings and to your right two large tables. The furthest one holds potions, furs and fresh meat. Whereas the closest table has seats prepared with food laid out neatly. The smell of fresh bread wafts over and you see a bowl of mouth watering fruit. Cooked meat steams on small plates.

    MAP: Olegs Trading Post

I am looking to start Kingmaker the Stolen Lands but we need two more players. We haven't started playing yet so this is a fresh campaign :D

Current Classes are Paladin, Fighter and a Monk.

  • 1st level
  • Average gold for each class
    []20 point buy
  • 2 Traits. One Campaign trait found in (Player Guide)
  • Max HP at first level
  • One extra skill point to put into profession Only. You don't have to take this but it might add that little something without taking anything away.
Did I miss anything? Any questions?

    Info on me:

I am from the UK so this does affect the amount I can post due to different sleepy times to everyone else (Yet to meet someone else from the UK on the boards.)
I am also a fairly new GM so I am still learning to be awesome :P I will slip up but hopefully not to badly :D Oh and for some reason I always forget to give out XP, dunno why so you may have to keep on top of me for that.

Also I am excited to play this so I will close recruitment when there are two good characters posted.

Hello guys. Just check in here and we can begin real talk of running this adventure. :D

His Mighty Girthness Chief Rendwattle Gutwad, has called you to the moot house at the centre of Licktoad Village. Slorb, an overdressed Pompous Goblin, greets you at the door pushing his lens-less glasses up his nose as he does "Chief Gutwad waits." He opens the door and you enter a large room filled with trophies of Licktoad heroics; Stolen Weapons, Shiny treasure and the pickled bodies of small furry animals adorn the walls and shelves of the large room. At the centre of the room you see him, Chief Rendwattle Gutwad. He has squeezed his wide girth into a six foot high teeter chair. His Throne!!! The chief never speaks to anyone but his advisor Slorb and then only in whispers due to the great power of his voice.

Slorb moves over to the side of the great chair and his nasally voice rings out "Sit on the dirt!!" As you sit in front of the chief he suddenly speaks, his voice booming into the room.

“You all be heroes. Each of you. You are best Licktoads but for me. And maybe but for Slorb. That you aren’t fleeing in terror from mighty sound of my voice is all the proof you should need. Yet soon, all Licktoad goblins will know your might, for I have picked you for a dangerous mission. You know about fireworks and map we found in Scribbleface’s hut. Fireworks were fun. But map is more fun. It shows a route to a place near the coast where Scribbleface found fireworks. And it says there are more fireworks there!"

“I want them for Licktoads. You all go get them tomorrow. Tonight we have big bonfire to burn bad luck away from you, and we play many games. Much fun. Tomorrow you fetch me fireworks. If you meet men, you make them dead. If you meet dogs, you make them dead. If you meet horses, you make them dead. If you meet Lotslegs Eat Goblin Babies Many, you maybe should run. And if you not find fireworks, you not come back or we feed you to Squealy Nord!”

After he finishes speaking Slorb quickly leads you out of the hall giving you the map to the firework cache "Prepare for big fire now." before returning to the chief.

Now is the time to make introductions talk about what just happened etc. You have until evening when there will be a bonfire held in you honour. If wanted to roll knowledge checks you are able to do so untrained against a DC 10.

Hello group two, check in here so I know you still want to play :)

I have a couple of things to mention before we start. You are Goblins so argue and Bicker as much as you like just no killing each other ;) I am still learning the full ropes of GMing so if I ever make any mistakes or anyone is unhappy with the way we are playing please just say and we can get it sorted out.

    Most importantly have fun :D

I will get the gameplay up as soon as I have a chance but it may not be till a little later today.

You are goblins of the Licktoad tribe, who live deep in Brinestump Marsh, south of the hated man-town called Sandpoint. Once, other goblins tried to burn Sandpoint down, and they would have been legends if they had succeeded. But they didn’t bring enough fire, and got themselves killed as a result. Yesterday, your tribe discovered that one of your own had been using forbidden arts and was engaged in one of the greatest of taboos—writing things down. In fact, rumor holds that what he was writing was a history of your tribe! There’s no swifter way to bring about bad luck than stealing words out of your mind by writing them down, and so your tribe had no choice. You branded the goblin’s face with letters to punish him, which is why everyone calls him Scribbleface now, and then you ran him out of town, took all of his stuff, and burned down his hut.

That’s where things got interesting, because before you all burned down his hut, Chief Gutwad found a weird box within the building. Inside was a map and a lot of fireworks—fireworks that immediately came to use in burning the hut down. Then, this morning, Gutwad announced that tonight there would be a feast in order to drive out any lingering bad luck from Scribbleface’s poor decisions. But perhaps even more exciting, all of you have been secretly invited to meet at Chief Gutwad’s Moot House. Why would the chief want to speak to you? It can only mean that he’s got an important mission for you all... one that the other goblins of the tribe couldn’t pull off. This could be your chance to go down in Licktoad history!

Recruiting for We Be Goblins (obviously). Only looking for 4 players, may take one more if there are two many to chose from. I am a new GM so please be patient with me.

    Creation Rules:
  • First Level
  • 20 point buy
  • Average Gold for classes
  • Max HP at first
  • Two traits
  • Alias is not required until you are chosen, however a full character sheet and good backstory of your character is.

If you are new or old to pathfinder I think this could be a very fun adventure to run!!!

Any Questions? Anything I have missed?

    Hello :)

Everyone who was chosen check in here please and we can add the finishing touches to characters.

First things first what timezone is everyone in.

I am in England so its almost midnight here ;)

The shrine of Datrys rose malevolently into the night sky, carved from a single column of brilliant white stone, the face of madness looked out upon the world of men; its mouth was shaped in a bloodcurdling screech, rows of jagged fangs were draped along the gaping jaws leading to the drawn cheeks and its blood red eyes were fixed to the heavens and shone with abiding hatred. The ground immediately around the shrine was devoid of life, the soil blackened and charred, trees encircled the lifeless earth, branches stunted in their growth as they reached towards the corruption that surrounded the shrine. A rustle of motion and ten figures stepped into the clearing; all wore blackened leather that clung tightly to their skin making them almost invisible in the darkness, the lead figure habitually rubbed a black gloved hand over tightly bound hair, repulsion sat on his charcoaled face as he waved his company forward. I vow that the shadows of Ansa will not be cowed by madness. Grimacing at the soft rasp of metal as he drew his long knives and stalking like a tiger hunting its prey he followed his companions towards the maw that breathed the stench of insanity. He was just another shadow in the night.

They never returned from that perilous journey. Your task if you choose to accept it is to finish their mission and if possible rescue them in the process.

This will be set in a different world to Pathfinder with different Gods and cultures. I am checking for interest and if I get enough I would like to start a PbP. I am looking for 5 or 6 players either new or experienced.

If I get enough interest I will post character creation rules and I will be posting more about the different races and the world in the info tab shortly.

I will warn that this is my First PbP to GM so it may be slow moving at first.

    Hi Everyone

I recently got the BB for christmas and GM for 2 groups but to be honest I cant get enough of this so I would be very interested in starting an online campaign with fellow Beginner Boxer's or experienced players looking for maybe a simpler game. I have never played an online campaign before but I am very interested I wouldnt mind playing with skype or just play by post whatever the group would be interested would be fine by me.

I would prefer to be a PC but don't mind been a GM if no one else is willing. If there is anyone interested in playing don't hesitate to post and also if there is anyone with tips and hints then that would be great also.

    Thanks in advance THA

    Hi there.

Everything has been going well on the GMing front :D.

I was just toying with the idea of using sounds and effects in my games to try and create a bigger and better atmosphere I just wondered if anyone has got any tips for doing this, what sounds work best etc.

I have also been struggling in making sandpoint feel real to the players because at the minute I dont get the feeling that I have made it a worthwhile place to go and be and I know that it is a flaw on my part so I would really like to rectify the situation a bit. Im thinking using more NPC's might be good but im not really sure how I should go about doing this.

Any help on either of these topics would be fantastic!!!

Hi I recently hosted a game with some friends and we played through blackfang dungeon with quite a bit of success and I have decided to give the pc's the option of going deeper into this dungeon.

My question is how can I make a monster stronger such as a dire rat so that it is still playable with the BB and so that I dont end up breaking the game and making it to hard for the PC's, there are 3 of them (Wizard,Rogue,Fighter) and they are all level 1 almost level 2.

    Thanks for any help.

Im playing as GM on tuesday using the quest in the guide but ive changed the beginning a bit to make it more interactive for them to find out about blackfang etc. Im really wanting it to go down well with the people and playing with and for them to have fun, is there any last minute advice to keep it entertaining

I got the pathfinder beginner box for christmas and I am playing as GM quite soon but I was just wondering if it is better to draw the rooms in the map when the PC's enter them or if it would be best to draw the entire map of the dungeons for them to see.

Also when they go into a town such as sandpoint should I draw that for them also.
