Tenser was brought back via a Clone in a module several years ago, the name of which escapes me at the moment.
Ok, sign me up for the e-mail as well.
We actually started AoW at our last session, but started out at the abandoned mine office. This Saturday will be the group's first actual foray into Diamond Lake, so having the Overload tomorrow would be extremely helpful.
Keep up the good work, guys!

"robes" ;-) ha ha haaa...um...sometimes these jokes are just for me...
ASEO out Sometimes, those are the best kind. :)
The conversion notes are in the issue 124 Download at the link I supplied above. Somewhere in the middle of the PDF, if I recall.
Or you can just go here:
http://paizo.com/dungeon/resources/downloads
And get them like everyone else did.
Based on the journals from the playtest group, Erik is running his game in 595 CY. That is also when I set my game, which we started tonight.
I gave this guide to one of my players, whose PC isn't from Diamond Lake and has only been in town about a week. The rest I did like airwalker and gave them the Diamond Lake Backdrop without all the important stuff.
We're starting a week from Saturday. Currently we have lined up:
2 half-orc barbarians
1 halfling druid
1 half-elf druid
1 witch
1 elf war mage
1 human rogue
1 human fighter
1 gnome of as yet undetermined class (but probably bard).
Yes, that's NINE players. How I'm going to balance this out, I have NO idea...
Thanks for the info, Mario! I'll give it a try as soon as I get home.
Weird. My post from last night didn't bump the thread up...
Ok, I'm a Photoshop noob (like within the last couple of days) and I have a stupid question:
I have the scaling thing figured out, but how do I get it to print more than one page of the map?
For example, I have the map of the Land Farm and I have it scaled to 1 inch squares, which makes the image way bigger than 8.5x11, but I can't find a way to get it to print the entire map on multiple sheets of paper. All I get is one page of a partial map.
I'm sure it's probably something easy...
Count me in on hoping this is out in the next couple of days. The Overload contains information that should definately be had before the campaign even starts and I, for one, won't be able to drag my feet with my group much longer...
According to Tyralandi's and Demon Boy's campaign journals over in the Campaign Journals area, Erik's campaign started during Richfest.
Brian Carpenter wrote: ...do the PC's ever need to do anything with the sarcophagus or lanterns?
Yes. The only way to deactivate the wind trap which prevents passage through the face is to light each of the lanterns in their respective alcoves. The only way to find the missing lantern is to move the sarcophagus.
You really shouldn't run any pre-generated adventure without a thorough read through first. I know my players and doing something like that is just begging for trouble... :)
Thanks Erik! I knew it didn't like right when I typed it... :)
I'm mainly just bumping this thread.
It now appears that my group will be at it's full strength of 7-8 PCs when we start AP2 in a couple of weeks and I was hoping Erik could offer up some of his advice on how he handled things for his large group.
The "nation" in question is the Pomarj. It's really more of a conglomeration of humanoid tribes.
Turosh Mok is the name of the Half-Orc leader that united many of those tribes during the time of the Greyhawk Wars (approx. 10-15 years prior to the current date for AP2).
More than that will have to wait until I get home to my books, but I'm sure there will be others along momentarily with more info at the ready...
Squid wrote: Well, Erik, since we can now obviously tell you have a large group, can you give us an idea of how to adjust the modules in AP2 for larger groups? I usually end up playing with 6 people, but 9 or 10 is not unheard of for me. Simple doubling up of the monsters and treasure doesn't necessarily work out, as I found out in AP1.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Squid
What Squid said. My group typically varies anywhere from 4 to 8 people. Any advice on this would definately be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the info, James. It's exactly what I needed to know.
I guess I'm just getting a little antsy with anticipation. I'll try to contain myself until next month. :)
I'm going to be running Age of Worms practically as soon as it arrives in the mail, but I would like to get my players thinking about their characters now. Do you have any info or recommendations I can share with my players as far as making their characters? For instance, I was planning on having them generate their characters with the point buy system. How many points would you recommend for Age of Worms (I was leaning towards 28...)? Also, is it still the case that the characters should all be from Diamond Lake when the campaign begins?
Of course, I don't expect any spoilers or anything, but any character generation related info I can pass along would be appreciated!
We play roughly every other Saturday. Everyone shows up between noon and 1:00 and we usually play until 6:00ish (although we went until 10 this last weekend). BSing takes place throughout the session.
We also have 8 players:
Knuptar, male half-elf CG ranger 5/fighter 5/rogue 4
Pyro, male human N fighter 13/wizard 1 (don't ask...)
Qadi, male dwarf NG cleric 8/Risen Martyr 6
Gorgon Zola, male dwarf CG wizard 14
Jackie Woo, male halfling LN monk 14
Tylis, male halfling CG bard 14
Ankh-sa, female tiefling/dragon hybrid of some kind CG rogue 9 (not real sure of the level...)
Our 8th player is currently between characters.
We are currently on a quest to retrieve the Cup and Talisman of Al-Ackbar.
Just wondering what issue Adventure Path 2 was planned to start in. Our DM will be taking some time off from the game for the birth of his twins in the late spring/early summer and I am hoping to run AP2 while he was gone.
