Raph mutters, "Yes... I'm sure the Boss will be happy to see you."

"Indeed..." Throwing a glance at Keegan, Raph sighs. "Gnomes..."

Raphael looks around at the emptying bar. "Well, I'm off then. No sense in tarrying around here." With that, Raph nods at Keegan and leaves the bar, heading back to his home.

Raphael's eyebrows shoot up. "How... how do you know what my... skills are, gnome?" Raphael sighs, knowing that he's been beaten in the game of words. "Fine, you'll get your pay."

Deception check against Faldor's Deception (1d20 5=19)

"Ah, come now, we all know that there is a foul air plaguing the town. It matters not if you are going out traipsing in the woods for pleasure. The hezrou is gripping the gelugon's throat and making a stink, as my mother would always say. Let us just agree that it is important that these herbs make it back to the town, for all of our sakes. Keegan and I are very worried for the town; we don't want to see anyone die because of this little cold going around. Do you?"

Deception roll against Faldor's Deception, followed by Raph's own Deception. (1d20+5=16, 1d20+5=13)

Raph approaches the band of adventurers and gives the gnome a condescending pat on the shoulder. "Don't mind him. He wouldn't know a lemure from a pit fiend." Turning to the rest of the group, Raph grins and bows. "I am Raphael d'Adarrin. Perhaps you've heard of me? Well.. if you haven't, no matter. There's word going around town that you all are planning on seeking out the cure to the.. recent ailment that is going around. My friend Keegan and I wish to help out of the goodness in our hearts."

For DM and Keegan:

Spoiler:

"Indeed. Let us find that group of lowlifes. They were still lollygagging around the herb shop when I left."

Raphael grins and stands up. Dusting himself off, he begins briskly (and unobtrusively) walking away from the shop towards the Darkmoon Lumber headquarters to the southwest. The Boss will want to know of this...

Alright. Raphael is ready to go, barring any changes to the rogue class in future updates to the Alpha version of the system.

Raphael's eyebrow rises slightly as he sits in the shadows of the alley, his head resting on the side of the building a few inches below the shuttered window. Blackscour Taint, eh?

Well, from what I can see, Jaden and Hors (from his background and job), might know each other a bit, as Hors would be bringing wood to the mill, and he does have a little bit, if so what untrained, woodworking skill.

Keegan could come off as someone to find good places for lumber camps, and could be maping out the wood cuts for the Lumber Consortium. Raphael would also come off as someone that would be an office kind of guy, doing up contracts for them as well.

Effan, being the first of the gnomes in the group, seems to come off as a bit of a loner, but seems to have skill with leather, so would do well with the amount of work in the town, and would have plenty of work for new boots and shoes.

Faldor would be known by a few of us, as he is the bar rat(ok bar rat that sings and tell stories) so he would be well liked in the slightly over worked town.

Not trying to set up how anyone thinks, just thinking out loud, if you all wanted we could be on the golf team, or we could light bags of poo and leave them on door steps for giggles. I just like to look at the group and see what could have been happening, becase this is set in a town where most of us live in for a good amount of time, as apart to the, well you are all in a bar and having a drink.

But this is just how I am, I talk and plot, and I like to hear what you all think, seeing how most of us are all over the place and do not get to sit in the same room and eat hot pockets. So just some ideas, but we are all adults and this is a discussion, so I hope I get at least one gold star for effort.

Yup, Raphael works for the Lumber Consortium as a scribe... among other duties.

Much like a barbazu waits for the inevitable battle, Raphael d'Adarrin waits for the action to begin.

Well, I've finished Raphael's description and background. Hopefully everything is acceptable.

Here's my beguiler. Even got the bloodline I wanted! Failed at making some poison though, so I lost about 30 gold...

I'll work on the background/fluffy parts of the character in a bit.
