Raph chuckles as he sees the thieves' tools. "Hmm. I'll be taking those." With that, he walks over and grabs them in plain view of everyone.

Raph's face scrunches up in disgust. "You all can play with the dead guy... I'll stay over here."

Raph almost screeches in dismay before launching into a litany of curses in Infernal.

"Blood, I'm fine with... But bird filth? This adventure has gone too far! Let's get this fungi and be done with it."

Raph holds his chin between his fingers. "Hmm... You may have a point, sir Keegan. The place is so small, though, that I'll bet they have the whole place watched... Problem is we don't even know who 'they' are. Maybe the place is abandoned?"

Raphael sneers. "I don't think it makes a difference which way we go in... Unless you all are considering doing this in a stealthy fashion. If that's the case, I say we climb the walls and not go through any of the obvious entrances."

Raph creeps along cautiously, his crossbow at the ready as he looks over his shoulder for any that might attempt to sneak up on the party.

"Yes... We should find a place we can flee to should our infiltration go awry."

"Hah! You'll get your chance, I'll wager. Asmodeus knows this cursed vale's full of beasties just itching to be put to the sword. Mayhaps we'll find the monastery filled with raging orcs, hmm? But for now, sleep is calling."

Raphael bows gracefully to the rest of the party, turns, and returns to his sleeping place, grumbling quietly about not bringing a bedroll.

Raph grins wickedly and fires his crossbow, whispering a phrase in Infernal.

If you speak Infernal:

Spoiler:
You're not going anywhere, little bastard.

Xbow atk/dam (1d20+4=16, 1d8=7)

Raph snatches his sword up and waits for someone else to go out and check what the commotion is.

Readying an action to exit the tent right after someone else does.

Init (1d20 4=9)
"Blasted forest creatures disturbing my well-deserved rest..."

Raph mutters, "Darkmoon Vale's a strange place..."

Raph chuckles. "Let him play with the trinkets. They're worth nothing to me."

Raph snorts in disdain. "Bah, old crone must have taken the good stuff with her. Pity she didn't leave her spellbook..."

Brushing off splinters from his fine Chelish robes, Raph nods wearily at Keegan. "Indeed... 'twas a close one. Thankfully, Asmodeus must wait a bit longer before he lays claim to our souls."

Raph remains on the ground, too afraid to get up and expose himself.

Raph's eyes groggily open, and he lets out a groan. "Remind me not to do that again..."

I'm disabled and prone on the ground... I'm not going to risk an attack by getting up so I'm just going to play dead a while longer and let the rejuvenation occur.

Raphael lets out a ragged yelp, topples to the ground, and lies still.

I'm unconscious and bleeding.

Tumble to K17 (must make 2 acrobatics checks at 15 and 17 due to two threatening opponents), attack one in J17 with flanking bonus

Acrobatics 1/Acrobatics 2/Atk/Dam (1d20+8=13, 1d20+8=19, 1d20+1=20, 1d6-1=2)

Forgot to add my sneak attack damage (see my post in the discussion thread)

sneak attack dam (1d6=3)

Raph gasps in pain. "Gah... Hells consume you!" He tumbles to the other side of Hozs's effigy and jabs at it again.

Tumble to K17 (must make 2 acrobatics checks at 15 and 17 due to two threatening opponents), attack one in J17 with flanking bonus

Acrobatics 1/Acrobatics 2/Atk/Dam (1d20+8=13, 1d20+8=19, 1d20+1=20, 1d6-1=2)

Uh oh... first one gets an attack of opportunity >_<

EDIT: Oh, add +1 to my attack and damage from Faldor's song, assuming I hit (and assuming I didn't die from the attack of opportunity

Raph makes a dive away from the hut. "This thing is too sturdy for my poor sword! Make quick with your axe!" He then jabs at the effigy that Hozs and Jaden are fighting.

Raph tumbles, moving to J-16. He then attacks the effigy in K-17.

Acrobatics/attack/damage (1d20 8=11, 1d20-1=8, 1d6-1=1)

Failed the acrobatics check, so the pot gets an attack of opportunity.

Raphael jabs at the cauldron, then takes a cautious step backwards out of the hut. He's hoping that the thing will follow him outside where the others can get at it.

5 ft. step out of the hut

attack/ damage (1d20-1=1, 1d6-1=2)

"So it's up to me, eh? So be it."

Drawing his beloved sword--and knowing it won't be very useful against the thing--Raphael throws caution into the wind and lunges at the cauldron, hoping to buy the gnome some time.

"Have at you!"

Attack/damage:1d20-1=15, 1d6-1=2

Raph is still standing in the doorway of the hut: M-14.

Initiative (1d20+4=22)

"This isn't good!"

Raph grins. "The hag's dead... Hmm... Just means there's more stuff for us to take, eh? Let's look for the rat's tail and anything else of value, I say."

Taking a step inside, Raph spares a glance at the wrapped corpse. "Anyone else find it a bit odd that she'd wrap herself up before dying?"

"This is most distressing... Perhaps we should just take a look inside to make sure?"

"Bah! Very well, I'll do it."

Raphael takes a few steps towards the hut, peers around at all the effigies, then continues walking right up to the door. Tentatively, he knocks on the door.

"Ulizmia? Sorry to bother you, but we have come seeking a certain herb needed to cure an epidemic of Blackscour Taint. Please, open up so we may talk about the price."

"Gah. This is a waste of time. We should hurry lest the town be reduced to a haunted ruin while we are away."

Raph squints in disgust. "Oh, my..."

Knowledge (local) (1d20=7=13)

Raph can't seem to think of who it belongs to.

In the morning, Raph's stomach grumbles mightily. "Urgh.. Perchance, does anyone have anything to eat? I didn't know this was going to be an overnight affair..."

Raph snatches the signet ring. "Interesting... I wonder who it belongs to."

Could a Knowledge (local) check tell me anything about the ring?

An eyebrow raised in Keegan's direction, Raph says nothing.

"Bodies? Someone should go up and find out who they are..."

Perception (1d20+4=6)

Busy wiping the scaled creature's ichor off of his sword, Raphael doesn't seem to notice anything.

On my turn, I will move to I-10 and attack, assuming I can reach the beast from that square.

Raphael continues his approach and, upon reaching a suitable distance from the beast, thrusts his sword at it in hopes of ending the battle.

Attack, Damage: 1d20-1=19, 1d6-1=3

crit threat roll (1d20-1=15)

I'll start in A-13

Raphael draws his rapier and approaches the beast. "Aha. Prepare yourself for my blade, slithering creature!"

(Move to F-11)

Perception and Initiative (1d20 4=22, 1d20+4=15)

Looks like Raph's wonder-filled eyes are really taking in the sights!

Raphael stands in wonder. "It's enormous! But, where's the herbs?"

Perception, Survival (1d20+4=11, 1d20=20)

(Sweet! Nat 20!)

Raphael moans pitifully. "Are we there yet? This utter... greenness--yes, that's it--is getting to me!"

Raphael tries not to stare. "Talking to animals now? How distasteful..."

"Hmph. Indeed! It seems to be filled with savages! Alas, 'tis nothing like the forests of Cheliax. I'll take fiend-haunted vistas over this boorish squat of trees any day."

"You're keeping that... thing? Are you daft? You don't know where it's been!"

Raph puts his crossbow away and picks up his rapier, which he looks at despondently. "My sword bloodied by some raving bird-beast... How dreadful." With that, he wipes the rapier off in the grass and hooks it back onto his belt.

He looks around at his allies. "Let us depart, lest the town die in our absence, hmm?"

Oops. Then, what I'll do what I just posted when my turn comes.

Raphael grumbles discontentedly. "There's no way I'm muddying my shoes by running after a bird."

He drops his rapier and draws his crossbow. He then loads the crossbow, still grumbling.

Perception and Initiative rolls (1d20+4=9, 1d20+4=9)

On Raph's turn:

"Ah, blast it all! You'll be burning in the pits of Hell very soon, mangy bird!"

With a scowl on his face and an Infernal curse on his tongue, Raphael whips his rapier out and jabs at the razorcrow that attacked him.

attack roll (1d20-1=17)
Since the die roll was 18, here's the crit confirmation roll just in case the 17 hit:
crit confirmation (1d20-1=13)
damage (1d6-1=3)
(or 6 damage if it was a crit)

Raph grins. Despite the fact he has no idea what the sound is, he attempts to explain the sound in a lecturing tone. "Sounds like a crying imp of some sort. Probably lost his way from Cheliax. Let's go put it out of its misery and be on with it, eh?"

1d20+5=15 Deception check (he's lying through his teeth)

Raph grumbles and takes his place. "Very well."

A few minutes later, he curses in Infernal quietly. "It's just so... dirty out here. Positively disgusting. And... all these savage beasts around..." He curses again in Infernal.

Perception (auditory) check (1d20 4=10)

Raph gives a quizzical look at Keegan.
