Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 Ram'Dain gets himself into a good hiding place, hoping he's not seen. Taking aim, he places his Impulser crosshairs on the two jackals as they enter, flashing them with a Color Spray. DC 15 Will Save to keep from falling unconcious for 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 rounds, then blinded and stunned for1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, then stunned 1 round. Assuming they have 2 HD or less.

Ram'Dain finally looks up from his work on his Impulser to realize that Grave called him "Bill." "Ok, I've been called Elite, Four-Jaws, Blue-Skin, and Techie. What the heck does Bill mean?" Although he grew up mostly on Earth, his knowledge of pop culture is limited. He pulls out his PDA, looks it up online, and the "Bill Nye" theme starts playing through the small ship. Quickly shutting it off, Ram sits in the corner, contemplating why he ever thought joining a bunch of Marines was a good idea.

Ram'Dain nods when dismissed, then heads off to his quarters to prepare for the mission. Let's see....what would be good equipment to take for such a mission? We'll need to stay hidden mostly, and I'll need a way to get out of a tight situation or two. I've got it! Ram begins by placing a special clip he's designed onto his belt, testing to see how it works first. He stands in front of the mirror and activates it through his Impulser. His reflection in the mirror Vanishes for an instant, then returns. "Perfect. Now the difficult part." Ram takes off his Impulser, placing it on his workbench and getting to work. He installs a device on top of the wrist that, when a button is pressed, a Color Spray is released, blinding and possibly knocking out the target. He tests it against the wall, the light is very bright and colorful indeed. He adds a secondary function to act like a simple Light if need be. He also installs something similar to a taser in the palm of the Impulser, to allow him to take down shields in one swift Shocking Grasp. He'd test it on himself, but he'd likely pass out. As a second thought, he adds a device into the palm that will let him Open and Close doors from a distances, as well as let him levitate fairly light objects, giving him almost a Mage Hand. Finally, he installs a generator in the wrist to let him hurl projectiles at his enemies that will have an Acidic Splash should he need to fight and not waste ammo. Placing his finished Impulser back on his wrist, he does one final test of each function, opening and closing his quarter's door, lifting and bringing to him a pencil, and forming an acid ball before letting it evaporate. "Hehe. This is gonna be fun." In case you didn't catch that, he's gonna have the following spells prepared for the mission. 1st:

After his drink, he sets it down. "I'll admit, that wasn't bad. Although, I feel as though I may not be the drinking type." He stands and feels as though he'd fall over, catching himself on the bar. "I...I think I'll go to bed now. I'll see the two of you tomorrow." He walks off to his quarters, staggering a little as he does so.
Male Sang'heili Elite Forerunner Scientist (Wizard)/2
He pulls out his PDA, looks it up on wikipedia, then puts it away. "Sounds good. Growing up in Russia this should taste like home." When he gets his drink, he first smells it, then sifts it, then takes a small drink. Fort Save to keep from getting drunk: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Ram'Dain hangs back for a bit, typing into his PDA. When everyone is out, he aims his Impulser at the target, a large red plasma bolt flying out and striking the target dead center. "Still, I prefer a good Disruptor Blast Magic Missile over a firearm anyday." He joins Charlotte and Lt Cudley at the bar a moment later. "What would you suggest for a first time drinker? I've hard a Rum and Coke is a good start."
Male Sang'heili Elite Forerunner Scientist (Wizard)/2
Ram'Dain steps up, drawing his plasma rifle. He takes a deep breath, aims, and lets off a set of shots. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
He gives a triumphant grunt as three hits and one kill shot ring up. "That beats my current record of 2 hits no KS." He holsters and brings up his PDA, making a note, then taking a snapshot of the range. "That's Facebook worthy."
Male Sang'heili Elite Forerunner Scientist (Wizard)/2
Ram'Dain nods in agreement. His PDA goes off again, and when he checks it, he quickly rushes to finish his food. "Crap, I forgot." He places his tray where it goes, then rushes back to his quarters. Back in Ram'Dain's room, he finds that the formula he had been running over a burner had been on too long, resulting in what was supposed to be a synthetic gel had turned into a black, hard substance. "Damnit....oh well. Back to the drawing board." He throws the test tube in the trash, the tube making a hard clunk as it hits the trashcan, then gets to work making new plans for another batch.

Ram'Dain puts his PDA away before listening to Brian speak, eating some more as he does so. "Hmm....that would explain the high casualty counts during the war.." He chuckles. "Glad you're on my side now." Ram's PDA starts to vibrate. He pulls it out, hitting a few buttons, then starts to laugh. "I just got a notice from my family back on Earth. They think the Pelican looks more like a duck." He laughs a little more before putting it back in his pocket. Ram'Dain sighs. "Gods I miss them..." He looks at Brian. "Do you have any family? Anyone you had to leave behind when you joined the UNSC?"
Male Sang'heili Elite Forerunner Scientist (Wizard)/2
Ram'Dain looks down at his meal. "Hm? Oh, yes. This is a few traditional menu items from Sang'heilos. We have the Trutabin," he points to the meatballs, "and the Riseeti wrapped in corridid." He points to the sushi looking food. "I believe on Earth they are called, and please tell me if I'm pronouncing this right, su-she and meat balls." I'm calling them by sushi and meatballs cause I just made those words up. He picks up a piece of the sushi, smelling it. "Ahh. Reminds me of home..." In one swift action, he tosses the sushi piece into the air, snatching it out of the air and scarfing it down before he wipes his mouth with a napkin. "Pardon me." Ram takes a look at Brian, realizing how similar he looks to Grave. "I just now noticed how similar in body structure you and Lt. Elwood or Maj. Grave appear. I thought the Spartans were, for lack of a better term, demonic in form. Hence the nickname 'Demon' during the Covenant/Human war."

Ram'Dain enters the mess hall from his quarters after a little while. He grabs himself some traditional Sang'heili dishes (which look like meatballs and sushi) and places himself among the crowd. Of course, he sticks out like a sore thumb. He looks over and sees Brian waving. He thinks Might as well get to know the other team members a little more before heading over to Brian. "Greetings, Brother Brian. How goes your meal?"
Male Sang'heili Elite Forerunner Scientist (Wizard)/2
Ram'Dain also seems as though he's gonna fall at any moment as he enters the Gorgon. "Next time...let the AI drive..." he lets out a burp as he covers his mouth. "Worst flight...ever...of all time..." Needless to say, he takes a moment to compose himself before standing up straight. He walks over to Grave and nudges him with his foot. "Grave, get up."

Can we all agree to make sure this campaign doesn't end up in the Inactive bin? Make sure you know who's doing what and when so we don't have to worry about something like what happened with Brian. No offense intended man. So shall we all agree to keep up to date and let others know if something will happen that will interfere? I know other things in life precede a game on the Forums, but we'll try to keep this game as active as we can. Also, good work field-team! I've only seen one other combat go that fast before, and it was because of Color Spray at 1st lvl.

Upon receiving notice of the emergency signal, Ram'Dain has the Herald II placed into the magnetic loader on the cargo bay of the Pelican that is to be the retrieval ship. There is plenty of room inside the Pelican for the Field Team and have the probe out as well. When he is finished preparing some of his equipment, he gets himself into place in the Pelican, taking the co-pilot seat. He's almost ecstatic to be able to go out into space. "Oh boy, this is gonna be great. Flying in a Pelican is gonna be so much better than those Longsword they flew us up in. Didn't get a good enough view. Oh!" He reaches for his PDA, taking a picture of him and the cockpit of the Pelican. "That's going to Facebook." He will have the following spells prepared when he meets the Field Team: 0: Open/close
1st: Mage Armor
He also has pics of him and the rest of the team before takeoff, in the mess hall, as well as pictures of the Herald and Herald II, in case you were wondering.

Detect Magic (Technology)
After gathering some other resources, Ram'Dain looks over the FT that Grave brought to him. "Hmm....this looks like it could..." He begins to design and build another probe, larger and more advanced than the last one. "I shall have to learn from my previous mistakes. Thankfully we got some information from the last one, so I can make the necessary changes." He prepares the probe to be first a orbital craft, scanning the planet from a distance, then falling into the atmosphere to continue scanning, but last time it had landed. This time it will stay in the air, scanning from the skies before returning to the Justice. But before that, he needs to get some sleep. "-sigh- I've been at this too long...time for some well deserved rest." [Day 3] He continues to work on the second probe, deciding it would be better if it was launched during the retrieval of the fireteam. Before its compleation, he puts Herald II onto it. He just hopes he doesn't have to pull a "third time's the charm."

I like the idea of a Hearo-Point system. Perhaps something along the lines of one point per encounter, based on a vote system among us in the discussion on who gets it? How you use the points is up for debate. I've always done it where when you get three, you can trade them in for one free reroll.
