About Ragnvaldr the Grey

Background & Description:

Originally hailing from an Ulfen tribe in Irrisen, Ragnvaldr's tribe was almost completely wiped out by a frenzied wight that attacked in the dark of night. His father and brother were slain and his mother was greviously wounded in the attack, but young Ragnvaldr carried his mother away through the frozen wastes for nearly two days before he happened upon a caravan bound for Ustalav that had only recently left Trollheim. In that caravan was a dark-haired woman who healed his mother's wounds and provided them safe passage. The woman was a priestess of Pharasma who taught the young warrior much about the cycle of life and the tenets of her faith. Once in Ustalav, Ragnvaldr swore an oath that he would repay Pharasma for sending the priestess to him in his time of need through the only means he knew how: combat. In the years since then he has been a strong member of the Pharasmin congregation, trained in the shadow of the church's most zealous hunters, and ruthlessly hunts the unliving wherever they may lair.
