Been watching Spartacus (both season 1 and the prequel) and I got to thinking where in Golarion would there be gladiatorial games. I figured Cheliax would have it.

But are there other places where such would be appropriate? Thoughts?

Guys, I would like to welcome you to the OOC thread.

Your characters for this game can still be the same ones you played before (like Kol and Vulpert), or new ones, subject to the following stipulations:

(a) the starting XP would be 1000 rather than 100, to reflect the toughness and skilled gained by the PCs before the adventure start;

(You may choose or roll randomly the starting career of your character)

(b) characters start with only 50% of their normal starting gold to reflect the month long struggle in the Dragon Crag;

(c) the best character background, which shall be determined by the players (my vote will only be cast in case of a tie), will be awarded an additional 100 XP; and

Note: The background should include a reason for the character's presence in Dragon Crag.

(d) the characters are deemed to have knowledge of common facts about the Dragon Crag.

I will consider optional rules from books other than the Corebook.

I would like to take time to get inputs about your characters so I can tailor the game to enhance everyone's enjoyment. Cheers.

Guys, I will keep you a place until I hear otherwise.

Alright, we're looking to start a prison break style PBP, 2 more players should roundout the present roster. We should start by the end of May.

Basic Info

Plot: Prison Break (You are all rightly or wrongly imprisoned and you all want to get out).

Build Rules: PF Rules, 7th level (a nice number),20 Point Buy, Get One Trait. Don't worry about starting equipment, see above. Use the Core and APG.

Setting: Somewhere in Golarion.

To keep the suspense: please email your character's background (a list of misdeeds, enemies, pet peeves would be very helpful) to rbuado_ph at yahoo dot com; your stats you can post in your alias' profile.

Best list of misdeeds (I will arbitrarily, whimsically, capriciously determine this), gets a little something.

A word of warning: I don't do maps, technologically challenged in that respect.

As you very well see, I am a Hellknight and serve the cause of law unto death. Hence, I would love to join any PBP with open-minded individuals willing to overlook distinction of race, color, creed and faction.

I have been watching Spartacus (TV Series) and I am inspired to run an all gladiator campaign. Has anyone else done this? What problems have you encountered? Any suggestions you can offer?

Sorry if I have been absent these past couple of days. I have been sick. If you wish to still game, then we shall restart in 2 days. I expect that I would be ready by that time.

Along the streets, the street walkers already lining up for the evening’s business. Make up is applied on all faces, for some to hide blemishes, for others to conceal their advance age, and still for some others to mask their extreme youth. Innocence is the first casualty in this cutthroat world.

You turn a corner and enter a cul-de-sac. At its end, you see a battered wooden sign of the Slaughterman. This is the place you tell yourself.

You enter and your senses are assaulted by the din of the common room. Even this early, a lot of regulars are already present to drown out their troubles.

Behind the bar, the barkeep, a pig of a man and with similar hygiene to boot, is wiping a cracked pewter mug with an equally-dirty rag.

Tavern wenches in dresses designed to show off their ample bosoms ignore you, they do not even ask you what you want.

either identifying or dealing with the threat. I will conduct an
investigation into the extent of the infestation, but it is my
recommendation that Avalos be purged, lest it lead to the spread of
Hive Fleet Dagon closer to the Well of Night.”

“Send the Deathwatch.”

The transmission ends.

Inquisitor Burke continues, “I have examined the evidence and I concur. Prepare your wargear. You will go to Avalos.”

My copy of the book was rendered unreadable by the flood that devastated my home. Now I find out that the book is out of stock. But I really like the book and that edition of the game. Can anyone help me in getting a copy?

The flood that hit my home last September claimed my copy of Shackled City Compendium, my entire D20 L5R Book collection, 3rd edition L5r books, Warcraft RPG, Warhammer Fantasy Role Play Corebook and several other book lines, most are unreadable as the pages have sticked together and some have mold growing on them already.

I am happy to report though that a huge chunk of my 3.0 and 3.5 books survived, as well as, another copy of Dark Heresy Corebook.

Is there any interest in playing a PBP involving your fictionalized selves, albeit with superpowers, in a world gone mad with zombie fever?

System-wise I favor M&M D20 (2nd edition) [PL 6 - 90 Power Points].

You may have read my other thread I'm Just Glad I'm Alive or may be you haven't. But the point of this thread, my fellow gamers, is discussing ways and means of combating the problem of climate change on a scale that will put a dent on the problem. Sure, each and every one of us have some idea on how do it. But if only a marginal percentage of the human population actually does something about it then there will be no noticeable impact.

What I believe is needed is an organized effort.

I have started letter writing efforts directed at various persons of influence to ask for their active support for a reforestation program I have in mind.

To Congress (Senators and Representative) - to declare the denuded mountain areas surrounding our metropolitan area as a watershed;

To Big Corporations - seedlings, fertilizer, equipment, transportation, food and water

To Schools - to encourage tree planting field trips

Any further suggestions?

For those of you who follow the international news, you may have heard of the recent flooding that has occurred in the Philippines, which as of last count has claimed the lives of over a hundred people (men, women, old, young) and rendering thousands homeless.

Flood waters which reached up to the ceiling of the first floor of our house and took out most of my game books but we are safe. All things considered, it seemed like a fair trade, don't you agree?

My laptop which is on vista keeps suffering blue screen error. Would anyone know how to fix this problem?

Please ship this ASAP, or I might not have access to the PFRPG Corebook on release date!
