Winnie sniffs the air and heads into Ouidda's direction. Before just bumping into her quarry, Winnie roars and points in Ouidda's direction. You can identify familiar odors just as humans do familiar sights. You can detect opponents within 30 feet by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 60 feet; if downwind, it drops to 15 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range. When you detect a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed--only its presence somewhere within range. You can take a move action to note the direction of the scent. When you are within 5 feet of the source, you pinpoint the source's location. You can follow tracks by smell, making a Wisdom (or Survival) check to find or follow a track. Zeldana buys a long coat in the military style, with knee-high riding boots, jewelry and gets a hair and makeup appointment before the event. For Winnie, she has a stablemaster put bows and other decorations in her feathers, and braids, where the feathers become fur. Zeldana goes over the plan with the group and fits the wagon's harness unto Winnie's shoulders. She greases the wheels of the cart thoroughly with some of her armor ointment (using a good amount on her armor also). She nods as Eredur and Piotr volunteer to offer themselves as distraction on the docks to the south while some of the party will arrive by wagon and lily pads from the north. Whoever wants in on the lily pad train can place their tokens in the wagon; those who prefer the docks can join Eredur and Piotr. The choice is yours! ;) On the way to the docks Zeldana barkskins, antitoxins and longstriders both Winnie and herself, and then applies feather step, greater magic fang and lily pad stride enchantments on the owlbear. Just as they are about to step onto the docks, she remains a brief moment behind the corner of a building to add bull's strength to both Winnie and herself, completing the magical preparations. Hopping unto Winnie's saddle, she heads down to the water, instructing Winnie to sneak up to the ship from below, using the north docks as cover to hide the approach, and then rounding the end of the docks to the east to return westward north of the Sailswift, using the ship's freeboard to hide their approach from the crew. Zeldana was happy to be back in Almas. On a couple of occasions during the afternoon she stepped out of the inn to reconnect with some old friends in the city. She usually roamed the northern border of Andoran, helping the Eagle Knights with scouting and fighting brigands, but she wasn't without friends and perhaps one ex-boyfriend here in Almas. Also on good terms with the druidic circles of the Verduran Forest, she was also familiar with the Treaty of the Wildwood and had traveled those parts throughout, crossing the borders of Andoran, Taldor and Galt on numerous occasions. Her animal trainer's skills had been prized by many logging camps, border outposts and merchant caravans in the region, as she counted herself as a proud member of the Liberty's Edge organization. It wasn't the first time she brought Winnie to Almas though, but the previous time she did, the owlbear had been just a pup then, and not the now-horse-sized version she had become. It was understandable that some eyes would turn in her wake, but Zeldana made it a point to stop and educate and reconnect with all those who had met with Winnie when the beast was still juvenile. On her way back to the inn, she thought of something and decided to share with the others. "I've developed a trick or two with Winnie along the years, and one of them is the ability to share spells with her, and cast things on her that would normally only work on humans, or just myself, and such. I don't think we need to spread the news about us checking that boat in the harbor. I can cast a spell on Winnie that will let her walk on water and create a path of giant lily pads in her wake. As long as you don't stray too far behind, you can all follow on the path of lily pads. They'll support anything that's as big and heavy as Winnie. The path can be a bit unstable, and for those in armor balance can be a problem though... I'd be riding Winnie on her saddle, but some of you who need to be lighter on their feet could probably use an Elixir of Tumbling to make the trip a bit safer. I know, I know... this can be a bit pricy compared to just rent or buy a boat, but unless some of you can make a merchant forget a transaction with some trickster-type memory altering magic, the approach I propose would help us save our anonymity... what say you all?"

Skivven prefers to deal with facts instead of relying on mind controlled monks for information. A way to gather facts is to fully secure the area and search it inside out before THEN, if all else has failed, attempting to interrogate. Skivven prefers stealth instead of laying his cards on the table or hurting people for no reason.
