Well I would think that they might argue over a new church being built. Seeing as 1: they just got done building their new church at the beginning of the first adventure. 2: it is a god they do not know of or believe in. Would be like building a budhist church in England back during the crusade times.

However could lead to some interesting role-playing situations. Just recommend you keep a tight reign on things, as you don't want NPC reactions to become to hostile so that the adventure path doesn't become fun.

Alright Jason, after running around all bloody day at work begging fellow officers I have managed to get the 15th - 20th of August off. Which means I will be attending GenCon.

However I still need to find a place to crash, which will probably be my car. And I got to get tickets at the door (pray they don't sell out). Let me know if there is anything I need to do before GenCon, as it will be my first time attending.

As well Jason, you, me, Erik, James, Wes, and bunch of others are hitting the bars. I'll let you chose as you probably know the best bars in the area.

Hope to see lot of Pathfinder stuff at GenCon. Only going because of you guys at Paizo, and Crafty Games. Make sure to save a Critical Hit Deck for me.

Okay this is hallarious. Now where can I get me a paper Karzoug doll? I want one!

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Come on Josh, don't leave us in such suspence!

Actually myself and Gizards.com are working together to get an official character sheet for Paizo's Pathfinder campaign. Now we are not being hired, nor are we contracted by Paizo, so by all means if you can create a better sheet then us (not a hard thing to do) go for it. We're doing this just to help Paizo.

Dear god, maybe I shouldn't have recommended the Dominatrix yesterday. Had to catch me on a day I was tired eh. Anywho, nice build up. Nice to see what all those weird questions were about finally heh.

Now, Potantsuem's been a bad boy, send Her Mistress to my room.

The Dr. title is not official. It comes as an inside joke among his friends.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Thanks for the headsup. Look forward to our next chat. Lot of good blokes showing up to rant.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Okay I know this is a reply to an old post, but the bloke has a good idea. However to save both us and Paizo money perhapse we could do it in a wiki format, or website, etc.

I know myself and my fellow gamers will probably be compiling the "setting rules" in a campaign binder. I would recommend this to other Dungeon Masters and Gaming Groups.

Oh and let us not forget how...evil and kewl it would be to see someone fire a bullet from a flint lock pistol. When that bullet was enchanted with a delayed fireball spell.

Bullet enters the body of it's target. Then the spell denonates within them. KABOOM!

I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six charges or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a 10th caster level, the most powerful wand in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

*groans then laughs* Okay it was funny.

I actually like the concept of "wand guns". And have used something similar with my Eberron character.

Another concept I came up with (may not be original) was a dagger that also acted like a wand. So the wielder had melee and range all in one. Was designed as the main side arm for a secret police in a campaign setting I goofed around with years ago.

Boy that AP/AR Coordinator position looks nice. But sadly though I've meet much of the requirements I don't have the 4 years in college for it. Which of course is the biggest thing needed.

Oh well. Paizo let me know when you got a job open for an injured Army vet who held a Top Secret security clearance, works well with others and the international scene, and who currently works law enforcement. heh.

Good luck to Paizo in finding the best possible people to work for you, and good luck to those on the forums who apply.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

I too am a gamer who tends to wear black t-shirts...a lot. Now this isn't because of being sterotypical, or because black is the kewlest colour ever. No, the reason I wear black (t-shirts, long sleeves, oxford, etc) is because a black shirt with a nice pair (non-baggy) jeans, or slacks work for any situation. You will look both casual, and sophisticated at the same time.

Other then black shirts, I also love brown t-shirts with phrases. Though to wear a brown shirt I must switch my black belt with silver buckle and black van's sneakers for my brown belt with silver & leather buckle and my brown converse sneakers. Go figure.

Oh, and sadly Paizo. I don't buy shirts like this. Years ago sure, but now that I'm older I don't find much fun in wearing these kinds of shirts. Still though, fun shirt.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Not sure. Though I do not plan on getting it, even though I like Forgotten Realms. Reason being...

These authors have all published various other campaign settings. But in the end you only get one book and unless you have a DM who is truely interested in it you will never see anything more about them.

I mean look at Ptolus, an interesting concept but not really popular. Nor were any of the other campaign settings that have been published. I feel this may only be an attempt to get money for that said author. Not stating that the settings sucks in anyway (as I've not looked at it), just that I see no reason to get it.

Unless there were plans to make it a more bigger setting for D&D.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Okay not sure if these names have been mentioned yet but I have a few to share.

1. Robert Jordan....come on even though the poor guy is dieing, no other has created such an indepth world as he.

2. J.R.R. Token....okay so he is dead. But hell the man just published the prequal to the Hobbit from beyond the grave, how cool is that. Yeah yea, so his son had a hand in it.

3. David Eddings....the guy did an amazing job with the Belgariad series.

4. Gary Gygax....never read any of his books, but come on. It's GARY GYGAX! And to those who don't know who he is....read up on your D&D history.

So those are my top four picks. Though I sadly know they'll never write the books.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Not sure if this has been addressed yet or not. If so sorry for asking the same question, if not great.

Will Pathfinder be having a Campaign Timeline? Similar to Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, and Eberron. Will there be a current year for the start of Rise of the Runelords, some backdrop info on what has happend in the past, etc.

Not looking for anything huge, but knowing what the current date is can be helpful for those of us who put in game dates to use.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

I agree. Best version of an Orc I have ever seen....well duhh Warcraft's orc. A race of brute who are not stupid, have their own culture, and are fierce honorable warriors. Much like (god I cannot believe I am making a Star Trek refrence) Klingons.

Then the name's working perfectly, to be honest! Sarenrae is a very feminine deity, one who's got a nurturing personality that is filled with forgiveness and the promise of redemption. When she's on your side, she's full of mirth and joy and peace, and that's the way the majority of her faithful regard her. That said... when it comes to demons and undead, the gloves come off and she kind of transforms into a whirling dervish type crusader who's all about the grace and deadly beauty of combat.

Why does this bring the image of Kevin Smith's female God from Dogma to mind. And what's worse is why do I think that not only does this fit, that it will be kewl.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Heh. So...what did you think about Cloud's sword from FFVII

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

May I make a suggestion. Let us call the planet.......BOB. Yes Bob.

"You cannot name a planet Bob."

"Sure I can."

"No you can't. Bob is not the name for a planet."

"Hey I made it I can name it. And I'm naming it Bob."

Earth II
AKA BOB

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Now that we are on a Living Campaign rant. heh. One of the other things that does bug me about Living Campaigns, though I know will not change, is that every party goes through the same adventure. So in the end their is no real "uniqueness" to your party, they might have gone through it differently and done some different things, but in the end it was the same adventure every other member had gone through.

Okay so their are pro's and con's to that.

Now of course players and dungeon masters must register for a Living Campaign. Not a problem. However, will Paizo be requireing monthly membership fees like RPGA?

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Actually, yes I would be interesting is reading more of the designing behind the adventures as well as the world Paizo is creating. Why you may ask? Well for the simple aspect of getting to know the world as well as we know Earth. It will be far easier and more enjoyable if I am able to run the adventures secure in the knowledge of the setting and how it opperates.

Well the only problem I see with not mapping large sections of the map, is that if your players go off the beaten path then you the DM are left with the task of coming up with something on the horizon which may or may not conflict with later adventures.

I don't think the entire world should be mapped, but a large portion of the starting continent should be. That way should your players take a left when the adventure says right, you won't have to worry about screwing yourself for later adventures in the AP.

I agree. Have it where with each adventure path a map is published of the areas that the path takes place in. As you go through the paths, and collect the maps, the world starts to become something. YOu will truely feel as if you are with the Paizo team as you follow the life of their baby.

Okay now for a more....mature and sane approach at this topic. Yes I think having a plush toy based off Pathfinder's goblins would be pretty kewl. If not plush a statue would be nice. The revamped artwork of this race is so out there that it blows me away. And besides, if they can do it for Cthulhu they can do it for a goblin.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

First off let to say congrats to Wayne Reynolds. His reinventing of the traditional goblin is fantastic. Expecially with the 10 fun facts about goblins, and the goblin song. Very kewl.

But I must say. After looking at the artwork, and reading the blog about them is it just me or did somebody watch way to much Gremlins while painting. These guys so remind me of the Gremlins from the 1984 movie. Which I find great. I plan on running them as insane, blibbering monsters who are whole heartdly evil. Unlike in some other settings where I treated goblins with some intelligence and passion.

I look forward to learning more about the goblins of Pathfinder. Such as is there a Goblin King? And will he be played by David Bowie and wear tights?

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

I agree so much with Fetch. One of the biggest draw backs, in my opinion, with Dungeons & Dragon is the insane amount of content that is out there. Much of which is crap. Now I know WoTC is just trying to appeal to everyone (yeah yeah I know in reality they just want money), but lets face it. When someone is having to go out and buy books every other day just to get some new info you start to hate the game and well your wallet.

One reason why I feel Paizo is on the right path, something that CRAFTY GAMES is doing. Instead of publishing tons of books, use the KISS rule (keep it simple stupid).

By publishing everythign the players and Dungeon Master needs in their monthly book, they are ensuring their players that they will have what they need to play, when they need it, without having to go spend tons of money on books that in the end they may only be using once.

And if a company does want / need to publish some small rule changes, or updates, or just minor new information. Instead of throwning together a stupid looking book with no real information, just toss it out on the internet for free download.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

As I was looking over Pathfinder, I was starting to think of a Living Campaign as well. As the only Living Campaign I've shown intrest in has been Living Spycraft, I don't have much knowledge in the area. However, I did come across a few problems (though they can in a way be remedied).

Pathfinder are Adventure Paths taking PCs from 1 to 15+. Which is just no good for a living campaign. You don't want your characters to be level 20 in only around 6 months of game play. Assuming that it takes you one month per book to complete.

And if Paizo does create a Living Campaign, which I still find interesting, will you permit online game play or only in authorized vendors like other Living Campaigns.

There are many questions dealing with this topic, as well as problems, and hopes. Paizo please keep us informed on this subject.

Oh. On a side note. Perhapse Paizo could create a nice friendly site for Pathfinder with an message board for ingame dealings. Just an idea. Keep up the great work.

While it will be sad to see our comics go it is not the end. Trust me, I long ago cried over the loss of Knights of the Dinner Table. For those who don't know who they are, they were one of the first comics published in Dragon and they were hallarious. Anywho, onto my point.

There are still tons of web comics, many dealing with Dungeons & Dragons, as well as various other games. Order of the Stick, for example, originally was nothing more then a web comic who happend to get published in the Dragon Magazine. Even though Dragon and Dungeon will no longer be around (yes yes a sad thing, however I am very excited to see where Pathfinder will go) you can still read them on the internet.

So in short, while some comics maybe lost, not all are. And besides maybe one of you will create a Pathfinder web comic. Well...so long as Paizo doesn't sue. *smiles*
