The Elusive Trout wrote: I'd allow it, but Petrova wanted to do less pBping... Heh! You're all too kind, but I am trying to reduce my game load. Mostly I'm hanging around because I have a post or two left when the conditions are right. If I did want to keep playing though, I'd prefer to make a new character. Petrova was fun from the RP side, but completely ineffective from the combat side, and not just because I was too stupid to think about damage reduction when I built her. I'll certainly keep checking in for as long as the campaign stays on my active list. It was fun, and if a bunch of my games inexplicably due off and leave me room...

Petrova's family does still live, and Petrova had been helping them out. However, if any discussions came up on what to do if she died, she said that she would want the rest of the group to benefit from her equipment to survive, and that the survivors simply make a pledge to ensure that her family is taken care of. If that means supporting them after they get back, so be it. If it means dumping 500 GP in their laps, whichvwould support normal people quite well for decades, that's good too

Trout, this is where I would make a joke about getting into Petrova's pants, but I thought it might be in bad taste. They were so tight, Petrova had a hard time getting into them. Of course, that's probably what Talon liked most about them.

Hey folks. I just wanted to let everybody know that I've had a blast playing with you all, but I've been looking to reduce my PBP load for awhile, but I don't believe in leaving a game when it doesn't make sense story wise. Thank you all for a fun time, and enjoy the rest of your time in Abbadon.:)

Petrova sees the opening the creature makes, and falls back on her years of informal training in the back alleys of Katapesh. Combat Reflexes! Now to hit something! Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Fort save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Petrova buries her sword in the creature's gullet, but hisses in anger as it laughs off the wound. That proves to be her undoing, however, as she breathes in the lethal fumes and collapses.

Petrova just makes certain the men realize that there's their half of the space, and hers and Rohini's half, and anything male that crosses that line might get chopped off. And the girls' half turns out to be a bit bigger than the men's.

"Well, they aren't able to on their own, poor dears, so somebody has to do it for them. Like so many other things..." She giggles as she grabs the rope to climb up. Getting up five feet, she's suddenly conscious of the menfolk down below gazing up at her posterior. She looks down, yellow eyes flashing, and whispers sweetly, "Avert your eyes, boys, or I might just remove them for you." Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Then she climbs up.

I thought from Trout's second last post that we'd finally gotten some healing spells into Talon... Trout wrote: Casting Cure Light Wounds with the Penetrating judgement. Er... that particular phrasing. The Bit of Luck power will also allow the CL check to go through twice.

I feel quite stupid, knowing that we were going on an extra-planar adventure to Abaddon, and playing a character with Knowledge: Planes, for not getting weapons that would bypass damage reduction. I guess I'm just not used to starting at higher than level 1.

Petrova drops her sling, draws a dagger, and attacks, taking a step if needed to get a flank with Talon.
Being unaccustomed to fighting with a dagger, she underestimates its reach and misses.

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 Petrova tries to shake off the horrific images that assault her mind, but is unsuccessful. Her hands shaking, she drops her sword and readies her sling, letting fly.

"Kanthuun, fly your friends down here so we can play, too!" Petrova calls up. On her turn, if she's able to get into melee with the vulnadaemon, she does so. If it's more than a 5-foot step for her, ignore the battledance bonuses. Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 +1 battle dance

"Pull the lever and the slimy water fills up the room, bubbling up from the pits so that we can all float or swim over to the door." She didn't sound like she believed it when she started, but by the end she has convinced herself. "Any evidence of slimy gunk up there, Kanthuun?"
