Sovereign Court

I'm wanting to recruit one player for One on one gaming
If there is any interest we can discuss additional details.

No need for apps.

Variety of levels and classes can be chosen, but is restricted to CRB.

Sovereign Court

Many hundreds of years ago, the forces of good allied to destroy
the main Temple of Orcus in the ancient city of Tsar. With their
temple in ruins, the surviving high priests of this accursed demongod
fled the city with an army of enemies on their trail—an army
of heroic fighters, clerics and paladins—led by Zelkor, a powerful
wizard. The exact fate of these evil priests was then unknown, for
not only did the remnants of the followers of Orcus disappear from
all human reckoning, but so did the army of light that followed after
them disappear as well. Some said that in the eternal scales the loss
of so many good men was a fair price to pay to rid the world of so
much evil.
The evil cult, however, had not been destroyed...

Adventure Awaits!

This game will take place on rpol.net, and the players will need to purchase Realmworks Players Edition in order to participate.
This is a $10 download.

This is what I have in mind for the game:

I'm interested in opening it up to all available classes/races/alignments.

I have an idea on how this will work.

Everyone's starting level will be randomly determined. This will establish the group as either evil-heavy or good-heavy.

This ideological dominance can shift over time because when a character dies he or she gets an immediate resurrection for free, but they suffer an xp penalty. This is how the power struggle can shift within the group.

The class that you get to play will be randomized somewhat.

I have a scheme laid out for this, but the jist of it is that the player randomly determines two classes and he or she them picks one of them. However the player can multiclass into whatever they want without any further randomization.

This is a way to encourage people to play something different from their usual patterns.

Depending upon what you wind up playing, I will help with fleshing out a goal or some motivations.

If you are interested, then send me a private message on ropol.net, and we can discuss it informally.

Sovereign Court

Suppose you have a creature such as a poltergeist..or some other creature that does not have the ability to make a melee attack.

Does that mean that said creature can never make an attack opportunity?

After all an attack of opportunity is a melee attack.

Was it the game designers intent to deny certain creatures the ability to make an attack of opportunity, or was it the game designer's intent to make attacks of opportunity available to all?

Sovereign Court

The legend of Rappan Athuk is well known, having been told numerous times by bards, adventurers, sages and loremasters.

Some said that in the eternal scales the loss
of so many good men was a fair price to pay to rid the world of so
much evil.
The evil cult, however, had not been destroyed. The surviving
priests and their followers instead settled on a hill near the Forest
of Hope, a sylvan woodland near the Coast Road. There they found
a vast underground complex of caverns and mazes, carving out a
volcanic intrusion beneath the hill. There, the priests of Orcus found
the perfect lair to continue their vile rituals. For many years, they
carried on in secret, hidden from the light and from the knowledge
of men.
Many years later, their underground delving completed, the evil
priests erected a hideous mausoleum and a sunken graveyard atop
the hill. It is believed that these graves are in fact the final resting
place of the pursuing army of heroes that had been destroyed to a
man. Soon after the mausoleum was erected the peaceful creatures
of the wood began to disappear. Though many rangers and
druids investigated these happenings, the cause of the creatures’
disappearance was not immediately determined. Some years later a
powerful group of adventurers, led by Bofred, a high priest of Thyr,
investigated the evil happenings and found the sunken graveyard
leading to a labyrinthine complex. Bofred and his companions
found great hordes of evil creatures in the complex. Though some
of his companions returned from their expedition, telling tales of
fantastic treasure and ferocious monsters, Bofred was never seen
again—lost in the catacombs beneath the cursed mausoleum.
For the last one hundred years, ranks of adventurers have ventured
to the newfound dungeon. Many fell prey to bandits and monsters
in the surrounding wilderness. Rumors suggest that of those who
survived to reach the mausoleum and sunken graveyard, most were
slain by guardians of green stone or perished on the very first level.
Those rare few who return from deeper treks speak of horrible
undead and creatures that cannot be slain. All who have explored
Rappan Athuk offer this one universal piece of advice: “Don’t go
down the Well."

Rappan Athuk

If Rappan Athuk does not appeal to you, then perhaps you would be interested in the pathfinder carrion crown adventure path. I am looking for one replacement player for it. If interested, follow this link and send me a pm.

Carrion Crown

Note: both of these games are using the pathfinder rpg.

Sovereign Court

Can you take an alchemist's bomb and target an empty square instead of a grid intersection?

Could this potentially cause bomb splash damage to all foes within 5 feet on the empty square? Assuming that your attack roll overcame any cover bonuses that might apply to the empty square...

Or are we stuck with only attacking grid intersections?

If you miss with a bomb, you will affect 9 squares, but if you throw it on the ground, you only get 4 squares from an intersection?

Sovereign Court

Looking for one main healer for this AP.

The game is underway on rpol.net, but in the early stages. Group is completly full except for this one slot.

Clerics and such are fun to play in this horror themed AP.

Sovereign Court

I am recruiting one, but possibly two main healers for The haunting of Harrowstone.

The game is hosted on rpol.net.

There are currently two groups, and the game has been running for three or four months now.

Send me a pm on rpol.net for more info.

my user name is demoneyes and my character name is grim reaper.

Pathfinder: The haunting of Harrowstone, Carrion Crown adventure path

I am looking to recruit four reserve players to step in whenever any of my current players step out. There are currently two groups of four players. You must post a primary and a secondary character concept.
Either one of these concepts may be selected for development depending upon the changing needs of the groups. The catch is that the current members of both groups get to elect who they want to stand in the reserve slots. Each current group member gets one vote, and I will decide any ties.
We will be electing two members for each group to stand in these reserve slots.
This game does generally require 4-5 posts per week, so regular attendance is necessary should you get a permanent slot.
Group 1 tends to move faster than group 2.
The usual character hooks listed in the players guide for the carrion crown adventure path do not apply to reserve players. You will have to come up with something else. I do highly recommend that you do read the players guide before choosing a concept.

Log onto rpol.net and send me a request to join or a private message on rpol.net and I will add you to the reserved player threads for groups one and two. My username on rpol.net is demoneyes. There you will be able to post your character concepts. Don’t post your concepts in the private message to me or the RTJ, as the other players won’t be able to see it.
