So, due to the vagaries of our Hectic lives, it seems our RL game will be a while off. Meanwhile, I figure we can have some fun exploring Sigil, maybe finding a few things out as we go and broadening your characters in ways we don't hAve time for in real life. Give me some idea what kind of urban adventures you like and I will see what I can do. It was an impossible city, one spoken in whispers by greybeards in scriptoria and remote towers across the planes. It was a city reached not by land, sea or even air; but by magic alone. It sat at the very center of the multiverse, if such a geographical construct even had any true meaning. Few who heard of its wonders ever gazed upon its rain-soaked streets. Despite these conundrums, the city was huge. The city collected peoples and cultures from everywhere, gathering them like a beach collects flotsam. It was a city of the defeated and the dispossesed, where even the most hunted and harrowed could find sanctuary. It housed neighborhoods that contained the last remnants of ancient cultures and peoples from places long destroyed or lost in the fastness of time. It was also a city of power. An emperor of an entire world would count as naught when set against the majesty of the city's merchant princes. Secrets uncounted resided in the libraries maintained by its inhabitants. Wonders of metal and stone poured forth from its many workshops. A river of arms and armor issued from the gigantic brooding foundries that belched soot and fire into the darkened skies of the city every moment of every day. Those who dreamed of fame and fortune often set their sights on its fog-filled boulevards. The city was called Sigil. Some knew it as The Cage, some The Nexus, still others The Ring. It was ruled by The Lady of Pain, whose very shadow would cut those it touched to ribbons. Some said Sigil was the Lady, and She It. Most did not talk of the Lady long, for to attract her attention was a sure way to get penned in the dead book. There are ten million stories told along the crooked alleyways of this impossible city. This is but one of them The story of The Mad Badger and The Crimson Masque. Game Session One: 4.21.12 Medieval Starship Games and Hobbies, Pembroke MA The game opened in the Swordhold District, Lower Ward, Sigil. The two mercenaries, The Mad Badger and the Crimson Masque met with their boss Tug Stonecutter and a prospective client, Mr Malgrim. Malgrim, a rather frog-like fellow, claimed to be speaking for a group of necromancers who were natives of Acheron, specifically a cube on the first plane called Melreneth. They had recently come under attack by the forces of the Necromancer-king Boretti. Boretti desired the secrets the necromancers had, and was bent on conquering their cube. Mr Malgrim wanted the two to infiltrate King Boretti's army and destroy his chief commanding officer, one Count Orlov. Orlov is a vampire. Upon his distruction, the two were to bring back any papers they could find to Malgrim's necromantic masters After a agreeing to a 10,000 GP payment and a bonus 10,000 should they manage to capture Orlov, the two were given directions to a gate in the Great Foundry complex. They ported to Melreneth, and met with the mercenary goblins fighting Boretti's army. After a rocky introduction (the Mad Badger being an Orc) the two were led to the edge of the goblin trenches by Sgt Mogwurm, a goblin tracker. They infiltrated the trenches and confronted the clockwork zombies Boretti used as soldiers. After a pitched battle where the two heros dispatched a platoon of clockwork zombies and their captain, a ghoul named Prykos, the Crimson Masque deciphered a map locating Orlov's command bunker. Using fly potions, the two traveled in stealth to the location. Rappelling into the trench before the bunker, the Crimson Masque made to open up the double metal doors. When he touched the door a loud voice began to scream 'INTRUDER!' over and over. The nearby zombies rushed in, and one managed to coldcock the Crimson Masque. The Mad Badger dragged him up their rope and hid as the bunker inhabitants sent out zombies to capture them. They retreated to try again on the morrow.

OK, Gruumash and DA. I am starting this thread to discuss our rendezvous in nine days. Gruumash is looking into our table arrangements. I am thinking of setting up a merc situation. You folks will be a recovery team, set on a dangerous mission to recover a MacGuffin in a Bad Place. I love Planescape's flexibility, so we will be using Sigil as a base city. I would like to see you make a 7th level character. Heroic stats and starting cash. Keep in mind you will likely be running into extreme environments. Plan accordingly. Questions, post them here. We can work on characters here as well if you need them vetted

Good morning! I have noticed that recently the formatting of the text box has changed slightly. It used to be we could separate paragraphs by two or more lines if need be, but now when you post your post, the paragraphs become compressed together. This leads to an unfortunate 'wall of text' look to longer posts. Is there any way to return it to the previous way it worked? Thanks. -Patrick Cambridge at night is a study in contrasts. Brick buildings dating to the Revolution stand cheek-and-jown with three-deckers from the 19th century. MIT's odd buildings rear their rococo heads along the banks of the river Charles. There is a feeling of energy and youth mixed with quietness and decay. Along Sumner Road, on the eastern marches of Harvard University, a small ancient building sits. The thronging crowds of college students pass it by with nary a glance. It doesn't invite strangers with its iron fence topped with Victorian spear finials. and darkened smoked glass windows. Despite its formidible appearance, the building is part of the sprawl of Harvard. Two words are carved in the granite above the old-fashioned door, saying only 'Phillips Archives'. The Drifter leaned on a bus shelter diagonally across from the building. He had been looking for this spot for a long time, or so it seemed, even to one who had seen much in his supernaturally-extended span. Boston was a lively town to The Drifter's eyes, so much youth, so much vitae. Even in early September there was a feeling of autumn about the trees planted along the road. He had traveled this strange chimerical country since the rise of the Third Reich had made it difficult to remain hidden in Europe. Some Kindred throve in war, The Drifter had always tried to avoid it. Cambridge, this collegate addendum to Boston, reminded him somewhat of Europe, the brick buildings, the air of tradition. The Drifter's flat grey eyes scanned the door lazily, a hand-rolled cigarette dangling from thin red lips. He had donned the guise of a homeless man tonight, something easy enough for one of his blood to accomplish. He had found over the centuries that the name might change, but the reaction never did. Few wanted to even acknowlege his presence, and that was just the way he wanted it. It didn't hurt that he was using a supernatural talent to enhance his anonymity. Patiently, he waited. The ebb and flow of humanity passed him by, but none showed the sign of being Kindred. No one approached the Phillips Archives.

There seems to be a lot of buzz about steampunk, or re-imagining the 19th Century as more technological, or expanding on the science fiction dreams of the early masters like Verne or Welles. It's been about in various forms since the Seventies, but has only recently gained mainstream attention. Does anyone enjoy this genre? I first came scross it in the writings of Michael Moorcook. There were three novels, now compiled into an omnibus called A Nomad of the Timestreams detailing the adventures of a 19th Century British Army officer, Oswald Bastable, who is shunted to various futures and alternate histories (and is later linked to the larger arc of stories dealing with the Eternal Champion concept.) In the Nineties The Difference Engine was released, an excellent book co-authored by Bruce Sterling and William Gibson. It dealt with the ramifications of Charles Babbage succeeding in making his early computer. So, does anyone have a favorite Steampunk novel? I have heard good things about Boneshaker but I have yet to peruse it (though it sits in my unread pile).

I started a thread rather badly the other day, which devolved rapidly into yet another (sigh) discussion of what was The One True Game. I would like to try again, hopefully without the flames: I found a post >here< where someone claiming to have worked on developing World of Warcraft materials for the TTRPG market was going to do some in a Pathfinder vein. In a like fashion, I am a casual devotee of several MMORPGs. I have a few of the TTRPG conversions, but I was hoping mayhap we could have a discussion or a post up of what elements of the MMORPG 'fluff' would be good for conversion into Pathfinder. So my question is: What would you like to see Pathfinderized? A monster, an item, an NPC? Does anyone have any homebrew stuff they'd like to share?

Not sure this is the proper subforum for this, but I saw this little gem pop up in my Facebook feed today: >WoW RPG dev on Pathfinderization of WoW RPG< As a fan of both MMORPGs and TTRPGs, I am happy that WoW RPG will be going forward using Pathfinder as its base rules platform.

In today's Internet world it seems the fine art of insult has devolved into unimaginative snark and banal expletives. I thought it would be nice to reflect back on the days when folks took the time to hone their sarcasm to a razor's edge. So, without further ado, here are a few classic insults (and some scathing replies) from past days: The exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor: She said, "If you were my husband I'd give you poison," and he said, "If you were my wife,
A member of Parliament to Disraeli: "Sir, you will either die on the gallows or of some unspeakable disease." "That depends, Sir,"
"He had delusions of adequacy." - Walter Kerr "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." Winston Churchill "A modest little person, with much to be modest about." - Winston Churchill "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow "He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary."
"Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?"
"Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I'll waste no time reading it."
"He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I know."
"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it."
"He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends."
"I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my new play; bring a friend.... if you have one."
"Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second... if there is one."
"I feel so miserable without you; it's almost like having you> here."
"He is a self-made man and worships his creator." - John Bright "I've just learned about his illness. Let's hope it's nothing trivial."
"He is not only dull himself, he is the cause of dullness in others."
"He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up."
"There's nothing wrong with you that reincarnation won't cure."
"He has the attention span of a lightning bolt."
"They never open their mouths without subtracting from the sum of human knowledge."
"In order to avoid being called a flirt, she always yielded easily."
"He loves nature in spite of what it did to him."
"Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?"
"His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork."
"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go."

"He has Van Gogh's ear for music."

It seems the OTD is kinda all over the place. You have the political/religious debates, more 'social' threads like the FAWTLY towers, funny threads like Untitled, etc. etc. Ever given any thought to splitting these up into different forums? That way if you really didn't want to watch the constant trainwreck/flamefest of the political/religious threads you could close it up without sacrificing the funnier side of the OTD. I would sort it into three broad categories:
Oh and I still think there should be a free-form RPG forum. Switching the last free-form game from OTD to PbP killed it deader than Factol Skall :P

... And truthfully, I am not all that sad. Back at the zenith of its power, Blockbuster earned my ire by their ridiculous terms. The clerks at my local one were nothing short of insufferable, unhelpful, and generally movie-geek versions of the Comic Book Guy character from The Simpsons. I hadn't rented a movie from them for about 15 years, since long before Netflix, Redbox, and OnDemand. I would rather BUY a DVD then rent from them. So it was with a certain amount of glee that I combed their shelves and bought three seasons of Battlestar Galactica for $40 yesterday. Just an idle question. Is my experience with them a fluke or did others find this company really hard to deal with? And did their smug attitude towards their customers lead to their eventual downfall, or is it just an evolving paradigm of technology that makes the brick-and-mortar video store obsolete? There are several 'mom-and-pop' video stores still functioning that managed to eke out a living in the shadow of Blockbuster in my area, and I am curious if they can survive or even now thrive with Blockbuster folding up their tent. Any thoughts?

Stumbled across this Trailer and thought I'd share. Whoever mocked this up did a pretty good job. I wonder if anyone could take the fluff of WoD and make a decent movie? I mean, you have all the backstory, it would almost write itself. I know that Aaron Spelling once had a WoD TV show that unfortunately 404ed when the lead died in a motorcycle crash. I would think with all the vampire mania out there now would be the time.

So I am trying to think up some ideas for a group of NPCs that would be a recurring theme in one of my games. The game is set in Sigil (Planescape), so there can literally be any race/class combo you can think of. The purpose of said group would be to hunt fiends and undead for profit. I am leaning towards them being neutral-oriented with the usual variations. I figure the breakdown would be something like this: A paladin type (but hopefully a more neutral version)
I have pretty much every WotC 3E book and all the relevant PF ones. Can anyone suggest good PrCs/classes for a party like this 8-10th level? And any good magic items dealing with it?

So after decades of bureaucratic shenanigans with NASA, it seems that technology is finally making private commercial space travel a reality. This makes me happy, as it is about the only way that we can move on to the next phase of space travel. Hopefully the lure of zero-G manufacturing/ hard vacuum manufacturing/easily accesable solar energy/nigh-infinite raw materials will draw entrepeneurs into a real Space Race rather than the Plant the Flag game the US and USSR played in the Sixties. So, anyone have a sense what will occur first? orbiting factories and living areas? Bases on the Moon/Mars? Mining colonies among the asteroids? Will we be able to adjust to space as a species? Or will long-term survival in space require some sort of genetic modification? Will nanotechnology make space travel redundant? Or will humanity's thirst for exploration lead us outward and upward?

Whatever happened to the concept that people could hold differing views on political subjects but could still debate their differences in reasoned measured tones? And possibly come to a middle ground that might not totally satisfy either, but at least showed cooperation? Whatever happened to respecting people of the opposite side's opinions? When did we get so polarized that politicians of both sides are demonized regularly by the supposed newsreporters of the day? When did the partisan pundits win?

Hey all. I am running a Play-By-Post game called Expedition to Tharkad-Kûl. Recently we lost a few players, so I am looking for 1-4 repacements. It is currently in town between adventures, so this would be an optimum time to insert folks. A rogue-style player would be most useful. If you are interested, post up here. Hope to hear from you!

For many of us old grognards, the Appendix N in the AD&D DMG gave us the names and titles of authors and books that influenced the creation of D&D. I began reading Moorcock, Anderson and Lieber because of it, and I know I'm not alone. However, it has been 30 years since that venerable appendix was released. Many fantasy authors have emerged since then, and many have had large impacts on the more recent editions of D&D. I think we should come up with a list of post 1979 books who influenced us and our games, just to give folks pointers on what literature can be used to enrich their game. I'll start: George R.R. Martin: The Song of Ice and Fire series
Three pretty obvious ones, but a start! Anyone else wanna post up a few?

I recently was talking about my other favorite RPG, White Wolf's World of Darkness (Old version). As a casual thought, if I was going to start an oWoD PbP, would there be any interest among Paizonians? It wouldn't be any time soon I'm afraid, I am full out with projects right now, but I am just conducting an 'interest poll' if you will. Anyone who would play something like that?

A shadowed marketplace in a dimly-lit city greets your eyes as you flash in through the omniportal. Swarms of different beings from all over the Interthereal Sea congregate to dicker and haggle over the products of a hundred worlds. Raucous eating establishments, taverns, bordellos and dancehalls line the periphery of the souk, with barkers in front on the busy sidewalks singing the praises of a dozen dark pleasures. Down the side alleys, small dimly-lit shops stand, displays of esoteric and arcnae goods piled high for buyers' approval. The Bazaar of the Bizarre awaits you.....

Hello all, Due to the disappearance of two of my PbP's characters I am opening up recruitment. As of now, I have only three players, so I am looking for 2-5 characters to replace them. Currently the characters are at 4th level. It is Planescape, but knowledge of the setting is not needed. The game is narration heavy, but there is action. The game has been running for almost a year now, and is well-established. Post here with a character concept if you are interested. Basically it is a free-for-all, since Sigil is THE planar hub of the Great Wheel. Anything is possible. As for requirements, I only ask that you have a consistent posting habit. The game drags when someone doesn't update their character's actions. If you are willing to play please check in every other day at the least. 3,000 GP starting cash for the characters, any type of magic item can be bought in Sigil. Deep within the Interthereal Sea a shadowed realm broods. Thick rotted jungle swamps stretch out for hundreds of miles, defying any who would explore its dark depths. The croak of bullywugs mixes with the screams of jaguars and griffons. Giant snakes slither among the rotted fens, ever eager for warm prey. Shadows flitter and bones clack as swarms of undead patrol the fetid jungle floor. A vine-wrapped stone ziggurat lies deep within many evil and arcane wards. Tyrannosaur skeletons tread heavily around its base, gnashing yellowed fangs. The outside of the temple is carved in intricate murals of death, blood and pain. Inside the stepped pyramid an unholy court holds sway In a little-travelled corner of the Intertehreal Sea an immense forest sits in silent splendor. Oak, Ash, Beech and Pine mix with their rarer cousins Mallorn and Ironwood. Many are dozens of meters thick, their massive boles reaching to the lapis sky. In the center of this continent-spanning forest, a ring of large trees circle what looks to be an immense root. The root travels up into the heavens, its endpoint obscured by clouds. The trees surrounding this massive root are quiet like all the others in the forest, but an observer would note that somehow they feel more ..alive ..than the ranks of forest surrounding their grove. One massive tree crusted in moss and mistletoe suddenly shakes, scaring a flock of cardinals from its branches. He croaks out a few sentences in Entish that take most of the afternoon to finish. Hurm hurm! Our busy associate the Tree Emperor has been busy my brothers! These flesh creatures and their petty squabbles ... The ring of trees shivers and shimmys as the ancient Ents commune and ponder the latest news from the lands beyond the Great Forest.

OK, Now that our little storytelling game has kinda mutated beyond all reckoning, I am creating this thread to post up any Out Of Character issues anyone has with the ongoing OTD storyline. To Summarize: The Steel Tsar and Candle Lighter prepare to take on the heroes currently taking council at Club Calistria. The Steel Tsar is the Champion of Flame, pledging fealty to Candle Lighter after his creation by the Anarcho-Syndicalist Peasant over at the Realm of King David and the Paizochat roundtable. The peasant was killed for his troubles. Candle Lighter has just killed the Kitten Vikings off. Alaina has been hit by Earth energy accidentally, but has recovered, with the addition of an intersting back tat. The Tree Emperor has proclaimed her the Fire Flower. Lynora-Jill has regrown her wings and been proclaimed Champion of the Winds. The Bard (and his son Rio) have taken the Champion of the Sea position. Jack Hammer has become the Champion of Earth. The Council of the Winds has landed at the Roleplaying Thread, but has yet to act. Lynora-Jill is attempting to find Sunny Godhead to enlist his aid in discovering the Spark of Life a possible weapon to use against the dracolich Candle Lighter and his construct lieutenant The Steel Tsar. A new hero, the Dalesman, has just arrived at Club Calistria. The mysterious Eighth Runelord has been involved in several shady negotiations offstage. Several Jacks are among the heroes, as is Rio's pokemons and Margarinefrog and Lemmiwinks (for what they are worth) The Thieving Wasp is the Heir to Kobold Cleaver, a Lord of the Board, who is currnetly trapped with the Goddess of Dangerous Knowledge who was cast out of Lynora-Jill earlier in the story. KCs sacrifice made it possible to imprison the Goddess, but he is imprisoned as well. His Cleaver was originally picked up by the Grey Mouser, who didn't realize its raw power until it blew the Crimson Crime Syndicate's vault to smithereens. The Grey Mouser, after attempting to stop the Steel Tsar now searches for his guildleader Crimson Jester who holds the Jack Thread's Trimillenial post. He hopes to use its power to stop the Steel Tsar who is powered by stolen Jack energy ... Big breath OK, I'm sure I forgot lots of stuff, but lets roll with that summary for now. I propose Friday evening (2/20/09) at some point getting together and writing up a good battle. Some rules I propose: 1. No TKOs. Its not really fun when you write: ' My guy rips Evil dude X's head off'. 2. If there is a problem, we can hash it out here (why I'm making this thread) 3. Anyone wanna make up some disposable characters to die, that would be great. Soo ..what do y'all think? The formless bytes of the Deep Interthereal Sea hiss and crackle like a thousand cathode-ray tubes warming up. Over this endless hypnotic hiss a faint humming swells into being. A large yellow jacket wasp the size of a horse comes into view. Atop it, resplendent in a fashionable clingy grey skirt and silk blouse is The Priestess of Calistria. A well-oiled whip gleams at her hip, and one hand graps the reins of her insectile steed. The other hand holds a small gnarled staff with a greenish crystal at its apex. She mutters to herself as she rides through the formless potentiality. HMF! As if that monkey was going to put me away in the toybox after all that! Fortunately, he does like his naps ... The priestess pauses at a certain spot. She raises the staff and calls upon the energy of unformed binary potentiality COME FORTH! COME FORTH! MENE MENE TEKEL! SINAN FIAT LUX! VOREL ARCANNISS! The Interthereal Sea remains unchanged. The priestess shakes the small staff and frowns. Hmm, must have got the wrong chant.. AHEM! Raises the staff again I WANT MY OWN PAD! WITH A BEACH, POOL, HOT TUB AND LOTS OF PARTY STUFF! The formless sea of bytes rolls back to reveal a long white-sand coastline. In the distance is the booming of waves hitting a lagoon reef. Pale aquamarine waters stretch out from the beach to the horizon. Long docks lined with several fantastical rafts and boats dot the sandy shore. Behind the beach a large mansion fashioned of pale limestone sits. Red tiles frame its roof and a large bluestone patio runs around it, bistro tables and umbrellas arranged artfully around it. An Olympic-sized pool sits at it's side, flanked with several cabanas and a wetbar/grill combo. An enormous hot tub sits to the side of the pool, trickling warmer water into the main area. A large symbol of three daggers arranged with pommels touching in the center is embossed over the main doors of the mansion. A strange hive of crystal sits atop the tallest peak of the roof. Past the mansion a large cluster of buildings flank a horse riding area. Beyond that is a hedge maze, a frog pond, ATV trails, a croquet lawn and what looks to be a paintball course. Green meadows strech out to an interminate distance. The priestess smiles and shouts: I LOVE THIS STAFF! She guides her waspish mount down into the newly-formed demithread.

A small monkey emerges from the mists of chaotic potentiality Here I shall make my home. Using arcane energies he summons forth a demithread with his own set of rules. A large sign conveniently pops into place to explain said rules to visitors: To all who visit welcome, except for Kobolds and their avatars. This thread is specifically for kobold-free communications. Any kobold, avatar of a kobold, alias of a kobold are not welcome here. If they should post, the energy influx of the thread will destroy them with no possibility of resurrection. If they post anyway, well then they show themselves to be the shameless godmodders that they like to claim others are. The monkey stands back, satisfied with his creation. Now to call the homeless home! Waving his walking staff the small monkey decrees a pond come into being with a clubhouse on its shores. A sparkilng strip of white sand surround the pond, festooned with toys and beach chairs. Bistro tables with bright-striped umbrellas are placed discreetly along a bluestone patio that wraps around the clubhouse. A large grill and wetbar stand gleaming and ready. The sun shines warm down upon the rolling green meadows surrounding the sparkling blue pond. Come and be welcome, all homeless avatars!

I must say, despite not playing 4E I am tempted to buy this book. Has anyone procured it yet? I would love to hear a little about its contents. Is it crunch or fluff heavy? Have they really reworked the entire cosmology? Are there concepts worth yoinking for a non-4E game or are they too alien/tied to the new mechanic? Is Sigil still represented? Just curious ... Wind-driven waves slap along huge tarred barnacle-encrusted mahogany pilings as the small shorecraft approaches the wharf. The grizzled bosun yells to his two rowing mates. They ship their oars and scramble out onto the sun-bleached dock. Securing the small craft with a rope, the two assist their passengers onto dry land. "Welcome to the City of Opal folks, Gem of the South," The grizzled bosun says. Here we will begin when our characters are set ;) The city rests uneasily in the humid tropical night. The heavy air seems to hum with expectation. The singing of the myriad jungle insects blends with the shouts and laughter coming from the brothels harborside in the Driftwood District. The night fog blurs everything into a grey shadow of itself. It is a night for adventure. OK. We are starting our discussions here. Any building issues, ideas or just to post an absence, this is the place to put them. Couple of rules for this PbP: 1. Consistent posting: I have a hectic life, but I will attempt to do at least a small daily update. If I will be offline for more than a day or two I usually will post the absence here. If y'all could do the same, I would appreciate it. 2. The fun's the thing: I am here to tell y'all an exciting story. I will attempt to make it fun for everyone. Everyone should try to make it interesting for everyone else. 3. Rule 0 is king: The DM is the Final Authority. Nuff said. However, as a beneficent deity I do listen to my petitioners and even agree to change my edicts if they make a good enough case. I am well aware of my limitations re: the rules, one of the reasons I am PbPing is to learn them better. Lets give the Beta rules a good test drive.

Hi all: I am considering starting up yet another PbP, mostly because I am a masochist who doesn't get out much, LOL. I am currently working on my own setting, a city called Opal. Opal is a city that sits on the edge of a huge tropical jungle. It is the only large settlement for hundreds of miles, but there are many settled islands nearby, so most travelling is done by ship. Surrounding the city are many plantations growing exotic crops for the trade market (indigo, coffee, tea, chocolate, etc.). There are extensive gem and precious metal deposits in the hinterlands (especially black opals, which the city takes its name from). The jungle has been host to at least three distinct lost civilizations (one Aztec-like, one lizardfolk, one Lovecraftian beings from the dawn of time). The jungle also features a lot of dinosaurs, spiders and scads of undead (from the lost Aztec civilization --will elaborate on this further later). Opal is a city of immigrants. It was originally founded by the refugees of a war three hundred years in the past. Since then, many outcasts and misfits have settled here, some becoming fabulously wealthy from the artifacts, gold or natural resources the jungle provides. Opal was also the site of several previous cities from the lost civilizations mentioned earlier. I am considering revving up a PbP set in this area if there is any interest. I am thinking 6-8 players to start. Level .... say 3rd. Pathfinder is still in Beta, but I am hip to using pretty much any splats out there. Epic Fantasy point buy. I would appreciate players who are committed to regular postings. If you would be interested, post your interest here. I am thinking possibly starting after the (American) holiday of Thanksgiving if there is interest.
