(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah rubs at some of the mold to see if it comes off, but then gives a little shrug and moves back to the hallway. She will take point and proceed to the next room down the corridor.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah basks in the surge of healing power (recovers 3hp, so only down 1 now.) and smiles at Losk. "Your skills are a blessing from Sarenrae, my friend. Hold for just a moment, Nuveril, I want to examine this mold for a moment."

Is the pattern of the mold suggestive of anything?

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Nano lets out a little yelp and steps way from the spider (5'step if he was adjacent). Gathering his magical energies, the halfling sorcerer lets fly a acidic bolt from his fingertips.

Attack: 13+5= 18
Damage: 5

_______________________________________

Parvenah also jockeys for a good angle on the spider, but as it recoils from Nano's acid bolt, it jerks away from the path of the archer's arrow.

Attack: 9

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Init check: 1d20+5=12+5=17

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah is too wrapped up in the peculiar mold to notice much else. She reaches out and scratches a patch of it.

Perception: 1d20+4= 6+4= 10 meh

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

My bonus for Knowledge: Dungeoneering and Nature are the same, ao we'll take a go

Parvenah wrinkles her nose as she steps into the room as well. She glances over the mouldering bedding with distain.

Knowledge: Nature -- 1d20+5= 9+5=14

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

If Nano is unavailable Parvenah will open the door. (She's just a bit reluctant since she is using a 2 handed weapon.)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

"When you sell your blade, you lose some of the ability to decide what has the worth to soil it," Parvenah tosses toward the halfling, "Your employer dictates what is worthy. For now, the baboons and these wreched rat-dogmen are worthy enough... And based on how the pugwampis gall the flow of the natural, their extermination is worthy indeed."

Well, first, let's drag the baboon bodies into the room with the Pugwampi corpses and give the room a brief search. If there is any foodstuffs available, it might help with a wild empathy check to win over an animal later.

After that, head down the hall with Parvenah on the west side on point, arrow nocked and in half draw. We will deal with each room in order as we get to it. Start on the west if they are directly across from each other. (Do the rooms have doors and are they closed?)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah considers the layout of the building "Let us continue to investigate this southern corridor. As it was from here the baboons charged, and probably the dominant ones at that, if there are others we might be able to route them from this temple."

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah looks down toward the barbaric halfling, "I think you attribute too much will in the creatures, Nuveril. They fight only to protect their lair and when the threat shows too much, they flee. It is the way of these beasts. Still better to finish it off than leave a wounded animal stalking the halls. The pain and infection to a wounded animal can drive it insane with fevers and that is harder to interpret than a healthy one."

She wipes her blade off and sheaths it to look at the bite wound she received. "You are right, Losk. There was a pall that was lifted when those deviant little beasts were killed. If we see any more, we should continue to make the world a better place and dispatch them rapidly."

She picks her bow up and inspects it for damage.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah feels the lightening of the air as last of the Pugwampi's falls. "By Sarenrae's shining blade! The oppression dies with them!" She slices forward with her scimitar ripping a neat line down the chest of the baboon before her.

Attack: 19+3= 21 (yay! Possible Crit!)
Crit confirmation: 15+3= 18 (Crit!)

Damage: 4(x2) +2= 10

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Bloody retribution on her mind as the baboon starts to scamper away, Parvenah slashes with her scimitar laying a bloody streak open across the creature's back.

AoO
Attack roll #1: 17+3= 20
Attack roll #2: 14+3= 17
Damage: 4+2= 6

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah gives a cry of pain as the baboon sinks it's yellowed canines into her. Knowing her bow to be more of a liability at these close quarters, she drops it to the floor and rips out her scimitar. She makes what promises to be a devistating slice at the simian, but unfortunately, her foot skids in a pile of baboon droppings and she barely is able to avoid falling to the floor in a splits position.

Attack roll #1: 15+3= 18
Attack roll #2: 4+3+ 7

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah says not a word as the baboons advance. She merely draws another arrow and sends it to meet the nearest simian (I8). Again, she feels herself slip off the bounds of ill fortune as the arrow flies straight at the target.

Attack #1 on baboons (1d20+6=17)
Attack on baboon #2 (1d20+6=21)
Damage (1d6=4)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah will pull an arrow from her quiver, noch and pull it, and wait with a bead drawn down the hallway toward the babboons (ready an attack at the first baboon that sticks it's fuzzy muzzle around into view).

If they emerge, here are my rolls:
Attack vs baboons #1 (1d20+6=19)
Attack vs baboons #2 (1d20+6=26) HA! Take that you jackel-faced little b@stards!!!
Damage vs. baboons (1d6=3)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah waits until Losk moves then steps into the space where he was, sighting straigt in on the Pugwampi. In a smooth fluid motion she pulls the arrow and rests he tumb upon her cheek...all perfection in form, fluid and easy. Unfortunately, one of her bangles gets caught on the bowstring and with her release, an odd metalic twang sounds as her arm jerks and the arrow embeds itself in the doorframe. Unbidden, a rather vicious oath escapes from Parvenah's lips.

First attack roll: To hit #1 (1d20+6=8)
Second attack roll: Attack roll #2 (1d20+6=14)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah nocks an arrow on the bowstring and holds it in half-draw. "Fine, let us move in, but this is not a race. The baboons can be quite territorial so if we can pick off a few of them before they know we are here, they may be easier to route. I find no glory in killing a band of ragged apes and am content to drive them off if possible. I will walk parallel to you, Nuveril, and cover your advance. Do we want to work our way toward the chappel, or do we want to explore the ancillary rooms first? There may have been food stores there that would have attracted the baboons."

When they enter, Parvenah will stay about 10' or so to the side of Nuveril, hugging one row of the pillars if they head toward the chappel.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah languidly draws an arrow and sets the nock against the string. "Let us wait ten minutes or so to see if any of the baboons come out to forage... It would be easier to deal with them out here than cramped within the walls of that temple." If nothing exits withing a quarter of an hour, she will nod and lead the group forward toward the western (left) hole.

Once nearby, she will inspect the ground for recent tracks/spoor.

Survival/Track (1d20+5=24)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah takes the vial with a smile and tucks it into her beltpouch. "Many thanks, Father. It will not be squandered." She strings her bow and checks the laces of her boots. To Garavel she nods "We will travel there straight away and deal with the simians. I hope to report back this afternoon, but lacking proper intelligence about the inside, I cannot make that a promise."

When the group is ready to move out, she leads them across the scrubland at a trot.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah is staying warm by the fire chatting a bit with Nano.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah gives a small smile at Nano and gently touches the halfling's offered hand. The shake is perfunctory and loose, but her smile seems real enough. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Nano. The way to the monastery is neither far nor difficult. Once within it's walls, you should find ample shelter for your smoking leisure. If the demon winds are so prone to steal your smoke, you might consider a hookah. When we get the Pactmaster's trade city back open, you should have a goodly selection."

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah takes a cue from Jaken and bows a litle greeting to the new employees. "And I am Parvenah Az'Hadria. I am a scout for groups in these stark, beautiful lands." She is relatively quiet, but does not shy away from conversation. She sits by the fire with the smoking halfling eating a bowl of stew with flat bread (as she wasn't hear earlier for grub.)

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

To Jaken, Parvenah flutters a dismissive hand to his question, suggesting it is fine.

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Parvenah shrugs "I have never seen such as them before. We were scouting out an old monastary a bit away from here. We saw a few rock baboons, but no evidence of life there otherwise. All was still."

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

Monty:

Spoiler:
About how many baboons did we count? And Jaken and I were working together?

"Baboons are frequently territorial. We could attempt a display to drive them off, but I doubt a whole troop can be driven off without killing at least some of them. And the meat is awful, so it won't be increasing the groups larder. Just..." Parvenah trails off as the trio carring the pugwampi body enter into the tent "By the sands! What manner of lizard dog is that?"

(Female Human Ranger 1st)

This, my friends, is why a debacle or a disorganized event is frequently referred to as a 'goat rope.' Thank you for the laughs!

Sorry, forgot to mention that my sheet was up.

I worked it out on a character sheet over the weekend, I'll get it transferred onto my profile tonigt. Thanks for you patience!
