I do prefer dreary weather I think when I am at work

Hey, I'm not alone =)

Then again I prefer cloudy weather period, I don't like bright lights -_- Plus TN cloudy skies look awesome.

Saved by technicality!

That's what I was thinking as well....

=(

Love my job.

And I especially love coworkers who bring in free food. Pineapple cake breakfast FTW.

Not so much on the loving the nekkid workplace, pardon me while I rectify that...

I love caffeine. I wonder how I ever survived without it.

I concur. Oh so very much I concur.

G'morning FAWTL

Zombie I think you just have an earlier shift than the rest of us or something. You're on about a half hour before I get to work.

Congratulations man. Good to hear all goes well.

Wait, there are Snickers?

Well, not anymore. I posted that before lunch.

That sounds like a Saturday night movie on the SyFy channel.
Does anyone have Roger Corman's number?
Corman directing with Bruce Campbell in the lead role. That would be full of win all the way around.

The chicken was mutated by industrial processed cheese waste!!!

My gods.

On the one hand, I cringe at the thought of vegetarian meat substitutes.

On the other, this is now undeniable proof bacon is so awesome it transcends to herbivores.

I honestly don't know how to respond to this.

I've done it, but it was unpleasant.

It could be pristine spring water for all I care, still don't see why anyone would want to exchange saliva with them x_x

You might as well just say 'multiclass monks lose flurry' rather than come up with all these exceptions.

Or perhaps, as to not gimp anyone who wants to actually do a legit multiclass monk (Monk/Rogues are fun), perhaps "multiclass monks must have equal or more levels in monk to all their other classes combined or lose flurry; flurry is regained once monk levels are equal or greater than other classes combined".

There's probably a better way to word that.

Frankly I think at least a few of the copyright laws need a swift kick in the pants and some heavy reworking, but hey that's just me.

Also put some clothes on dang you.

"No. Worse."

Soooo....is htis your big problem with him? Because you've just described, probably, every movie director/writer in the history of human civilization.

I love pepperoni meatball subs.

How the heck is Wizards already moving to 5.0? Was 4E just that plain bad for finances? It hasn't even been ten years yet.

RUN!

Or hurl in the person with the most HP, hope they endure it, and have everyone (hopefully) scramble through to safety on their bootheels.

Perhaps he meant poodle kicker? K and L are right next to one another.

Then again I wouldn't take that as an insult.

EDIT: There's a suggestion for a rant: small yappy dogs.

I might watch it. I watch so very little TV these days though.

I do have one complaint about Whedon's Avengers movie...

Yeah that was kind of a low blow, I have to agree.

Still, you did have to expect it.

Also all the info on it I looked up afterward was really ambiguous about it. So I dunno.

Me? Envious of whedon? Surely you jest. The only thing he has that I might desire are his lovely toys (that cap shield does look cool) and his bank account (as my beloved [and often painfully imitated yoshiuki tomino, said, everyone needs to make money).

For most of the envious, that's more than enough ;)

No, Zombie, save your hate for Whedon. He's the guilty party here.

Such repeated references imply not truly hate but more accurately obsession.

Have something you'd like to confess FHDM? Would you like to come out of your bunk? It's okay, we won't judge you too harshly.

Patience is a virtue. I always knew you to be virtuous. Please, continue down this path.
You know it was the biggest movie opening ever, right? Your hatred is doing nothing to prevent Joss Whedon from becoming a very rich man.

Envy knows no logic.

Schadenfreude, though, does and is very much amused by his flailing.

Spoiler:
"I've got a fallen angel tripping all over herself to give me more power. Queen Mab has asked me to take the mantle of Winter Knight twice now. I've read Kemmler's book. I know how the Darkhallow works. And I know how to turn necromancy against the Black Court.
So once again, let me be perfectly clear. If anything happens to Murphy and I even think you had a hand in it, f@~% right and wrong. If you touch her, I'm declaring war on you. Personally. I'm picking up every weapon I can get. And I'm using them to kill you. Horribly. Do you understand me?" - Harry Dresden, Dead Beat

"For future reference, I was sort of hoping for a suggestion that didn't sound like it came from that Bolshevik Muppet with all the dynamite." - Harry Dresden, Blood Rites

"There was a sound of impact, a raspy, dry scream, and the vampire went down hard. It lay on the ground like a butterfly pinned to a card, arms and legs thrashing uselessly. Its chest and collarbone had been crushed. By an entire frozen turkey. A twenty-pounder. The plucked bird must have fallen from an airplane overhead, doubtlessly manipulated by the curse. By the time it got to the ground, the turkey had already reached its terminal velocity, and was still hard as a brick. The drumsticks poked up above the vampire's crushed chest, their ends wrapped in red tinfoil. The vampire gasped and writhed a little more. The timer popped out of the turkey. Everyone stopped to blink at that for a second. I mean, come on. Impaled by a guided frozen turkey missile. Even by the standards of the quasi-immortal creatures of the night, that ain't something you see twice. 'For my next trick,' I panted into the startled silence, 'anvils.'" - Blood Rites

I really don't care how it's made, I just know I like it. Most of it.

sadly it does not always like me back

Since we're on the subject of steampunk and advancing technology....

Do you have any recommendations for a storyteller who wants to "age up" Golarion to a higher tech level? What nations, races, etc. would pick it up more swiftly, and which would be more resistant? What are the chances of Luddite-style resistance, on any scale, and from whom?

And perhaps, how would magic interact with such advanced technology? Is there potential for combining the two (a la Imperial Magitek) or would technology beyond a certain point be adversely affected by magic (a la Dresden Files)? The presence and mechanics of the Artificer class heavily suggest the former, but it is 3rd-party.

Not picky on which cheese but yes definitely with cheese.

"The noise was deafening, and no one could have heard me anyway as I let out my own battle cry, which I had figured was worth a shot. What the hell. 'I don't believe in faeries!'" - Harry Dresden, Summer Knight

"The building was on fire, and it wasn't my fault." - Harry Dresden, Blood Rites

"Ah, you see, the poor dumb beasts have no thumbs, so I ask you... how are they holding their cards? It should be impossible, and yet somehow they go on... playing the game. In the end, Razputin, aren't we all just dogs playing poker?" - Edgar, Psychonauts

So much jealousy.

Back in 2005, my friends and I had just moved into our new apartment - moving out the overpriced "student housing" apartments the school ran - and we spent a week walking up and down the streets looking for furniture. Between the four of us we managed to haul a full couch, a loveseat, a sofa chair, a TV stand, a bookshelf, a bedframe and mattresses, and a small computer desk back. Most had only superficial damage, the rest none at all, and other than a little bit of necessary cleaning all were good to be used.

The couch and sofa chair lasted me through my next two apartments - a total of three more years - before finally getting worn enough to merit being thrown out. The loveseat would have as well, having started in much better condition, if the puppy we had for a few months hadn't decimated it.

Alright, that works. Thanks folks.

AKA Proof one of my players is insane. (Well we all are but this is a specific instance.)

She's working on a Trickery Cleric and noticed they get Ethereal Jaunt as a bonus spell. She's also noticed EJ lets you pass through living things while ethereal. So in her twisted mind, the obvious next question is "What happens when I stop being ethereal while my hand is in the monster's skull?"

By RAW, all that happens is that she takes damage and gets shunted aside. Seems a little odd that the creature wouldn't be damaged though. Thoughts?

ADDENDUM: The entire party is now asking about doing so with weapons rather than a limb, thus circumventing the damage they would take. So add that onto the theorizing as well. >_>

At my showing, the audience was laughing so hard we missed the whole line.

My audience applauded. Laughed yes, but full-on applauded.

And yes that's what he said.

I love first Saturdays of the month at Goodwill. Say what you want about used merchandise, I now have a comfy new desk chair and it only cost me five bucks.
