Anyway, I am really looking forward to this book. The flavor alone it could bring...

*blink blink*

"Yeah, but I don't know how much. My source isn't exactly easy to feel in this location."

"Allura, if htat snake is anything like the earth creature in the Bazaar, you'll be more helpful than me. Go skin that thing so we can make Tristan some new boots!"

Oroth begins to work quickly, pale golden shining from his hands. He begins to push his magic through Solmyr's body to remove any lasting problems that Oneirodemon left behind, and through Solmyr's mind, working to set it right quickly and without error.

My way of taking Oroth out of the current fight. Still not sure I want either of the brothers here, or at least at full strength.

Male Aasimar Beguiler6/Paladin of Freedom5/Sunlight(Rainbow)Servant10

"The one that ran away or the ones that just sank down into the floor?"

Oroth let's his hands hover over Solmyr as a healing glow passes from them into his back.

"Shouldn't mages have a spell to ward off poison? How did that thing get the jump on you anyway?"

*starts chanting "PALADIN OF FREEDOM!"*

"Go after them! I can handle whatever's wrong with Solmyr!"

Turning back to the downed mage, Oroth goes through his spells to try anf figure out what the stain is before he touches it, in case it could spread.

Spells used: Detect Magic and Detect Poison.
Spell-Like Abilities used: Detect Evil, Detect Law, and Detect Thoughts.

"Solmyr, if you can hear me, I need to know what that snake was and what this stain on your back is before I try and treat it. Just think about what you can tell me and I'll hear you."

Which means I am the only one to notice whatever it is so far(other than Devlyn)... This should be interesting...

"So am I. Let's go and get that gem!"

Let's see if I can use shocking grasp to restart this arc...

Oroth walks back into the room, a worried look on his face.

"Not to crash this party or anything, but whatever is going to be done needs to happen quickly. Apparently, a rumor that the Okoyo is somewhere in the Bazaar is spreading. If the people looking for the Okoyo find us, they will most certainly slow us down."

The Dalesman wrote:
"Conceived and bred?" Devlyn repeats, doing his level best to keep his voice calm and even.

"Excuse me, I think I need a little fresh air." [i]Oroth leaves the room, an unreadable expresion on his face.

"Fighting alone tends to be foolish, but you are with The Sun, Moon, Shadow, and Mind. Being respectful of other's when you do not know the full extent of their powers is idiotic."

He pauses for a moment.

"And considering the three youngest of our group have... powerful bloodlines, I do not think you should underestimate them."

"To bad I left my bike back at the Sanctum."

"No worries there little brother. This shield is full of surprises, just like me."

"Brightwing, let's ride!"

Even as the celstial pegasus forms in front of him, Oroth holds his Shield of Prator before him, causing a chariot to appear an attach to Brightwing. He pushes Aidan into the chariot and hops into the saddle. Warning his brother to hold on, he signals Brightwing and they take off, flying about 60ft above Allura and Devlyn.

"If you want a ride, there's room in the back with Aidan!"

Sword raised above his head, Oroth speaks a word of power, and weakening energy surges through the bodies of the guards.

The Mass Whelm spells from PHB2. Points and points of nonlethal damage.

"Thses poor deluded fools have no idea who they threaten do they? Guess we'll have to knock some sense into them. Without, killing them if possible."

Aidan Moonschild wrote:

As silently as possible, Aidan sneaks up behind Devlyn. Quitely dismissing his spell, he reappears.

"Boo!"

The Dalesman wrote:

For the first time Aidan can recall, he actually catches Devlyn by surprise.

Smiling faintly, Oroth leans against the doorway leading up into the Sanctum, trying not to laugh.

"That was awesome on so many levels.

So they got caught? And I though I had LK up here with the rest of us?

"It flys where you want it, and you can't fall off."

He demonstrates with a few lazy circles and flying upside-down for a bit.

"It works off willpower, so those of good will can use it with ease. Those who are not of good will cannot use it at all. Would you like to try?"

Allura reaches out to put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Aidan will get things sorted out. It's going to be okay. I'm sure of it."

"Thank you Allura. I hope you're right."

The portal flashes and the trio walk out.

"Hey guys, I got the little terrors here!"

"Just one more thing to do before we leave then."

Kneeling, Oroth places a hand on Tristan's scraped knee and speaks a word in Celestial. A faint golden light shines out from under his hand as Tristan's knee heals.

"Okay, let's go. Off the Sanctum!"

Herding them to the Portal and on through to the Sanctum.

:::Sure, but I need to clean up first. I also skinned my knee. Who's Sunny G.? Sounds like someone who serves pulped oranges.:::

"He'll probably think that's pretty funny. I'll fix your knee before we go."

Sorry for the delay. That's what I get for waiting for the messageboard to say there was a new post instead of checking the Eyrie myself...

"Sure thing, kiddo. At least this time you won't give me a heart attack thinking you're going to go splat at the bottom," she said with a smile and a roll of her eyes.

"Well there went all the fun of that idea."

"It's nice to be back."

Allura wrote:
"Powerful, maybe, but they don't know how to use that power. And I'm not keen on putting them in harm's way. I don't want to give up on this. Tristan needs to be able to rest easy without constantly worrying about being attacked by the people who killed his parents. But with the Eyrie under siege, we are a bit short on people to help us deal with the problem."

Oroth starts to pace, then stops and whirls to face Allura and Devlyn.

"What about Sunny Godhead? Could he help us?"
I'm not trying to bring a god into the fight, just some assistance in the form of allies, equipment, or magic.

The Dalesman wrote:

After the Champions leave, Devlyn looks over at Allura.

"Okay. I'm pretty sure that makes us even more under-staffed for our little 'urban cleanup' project. Considering the saber-rattling going on between the Servants and the Eyrie, I'm wondering if we need to table this whole mess at the Bazaar for now. I just don't think we have enough people available to take care of it properly. Not to mention the fact that the city guard is about to descend on that warehouse for some serious disturbance of the peace..."

Leans back against the wall and rubs his temples, eyes narrowed.

Oroth to count the names of people still available.

"You, me, Allura, LK, Kiba, and possible Tristan and Arielle. That leaves us with seven people still here that can help. Four of which are little kids who seem to actually be more powerful than us."

"Maybe, maybe not."
"What do you mean, Oroth?"

"Think about all that just happened. Now how did Aidan react when he remembered everything he did. Everything he would have done had no one been here and see him change. Now look at it from Aidan's point of veiw. If you realize you nearly ruined everything you knew, what would you do?"

And I have to go again. Good night.

This song is from a graphic novel called "Mouseguard, Winter 1152", by David Petersen. Edited to make sense.

As Orothe sings, to spots of light, humanoid in shape, begin to grow in front of him. Each word causes Aidan's form to haze and become cloudy, letting the old Aidan be seen behind the smoke and fire.

"On a long journey to Glen-Stone
I sailed right into it's shade.
There before me she porudly shone
My decision already made."

"A lass who bore the light of the town
Her hair of ivory thread
How she danced is stuck in my crown
And back to this Glen my boat led."

"Twenty some seaons have since passed
Since her eyes and mine both met
Through lands unnamed and wildly vast
My blade slaying every threat."

The forms become more distinct, and man and woman holding hands.

"Wolf, Fox, Hawk, and Snake
Can't stand in my way
My body is weak and it may break
Though not today."

"Living in blackness wrought with fright
My steel shattered facing the foes
Dusks and Dawns darker than night
My companions in rows."

"Life spilled past me staining the ground
My limbs grow ever so cold
Above villians let out a cackling sound
Saying I'll never grow old."

Now the forms can be seen singing along, though the words cannot be heard.

"One dance and one woman played in my mind
Calling me back from the doom
The courage to carry on I did find
To raise me out of my tomb."

"Wolf, Fox, Hawk, and Snake
Can't stand in my way
My body is weak and it may break
Though not today."

"Battered and bruised I stood to my feet
Raising what little I owned
Predators growl caring not for my cause
Now for foreign lands I sail free."

Now the couple can be seen clearly. The man looks like an older version of Oroth, his voice adds depth to the song. The woman has the smae eyes and hair as Aidan(if he were not being controlled by the Fire), and her voice and hieght to the ballad.

"Amidst the loss and sorrow I've spent
'Twas it worth the cost?
Back into Glen-Stone my ship I sent
For the Ivory Lass I had lost"

"Wolf, Fox, Hawk, and Snake
Can't stand in my way
My body is weak and it may break
Though not today."

"Of course you can, Oroth."

Music begins to build in volume moving through the demiplane and winding around Aidan.

"Thank you."

Oroth begins to sing.
now just give me time to type it all up! :)

Yeah, I thought he would at least come with them because of his brother. Stupid demiplane ruined my plan. Remember the salamander and cambion azer that 'vanished'? I was going to have them hold Arielle hostage, with strict instruction not to harm her(just keep her from using magic). A distraction so Aidan could flee safely.

Her voice was soft, barely above a whisper, but as easily heard as if she had been shouting.

"..."

Almost reluctantly, Aidan raises a hand, a ball of white-hot flame held in it.

"That isn't fair Lynora, he knows you speak the truth when you say he cannot harm you. But I am not you..."

He flies up on his board, till he floats only a few yards away from Aidan.

"Is all this worth it Aidan? Are you really happy? Because right now you remind me of when we were little. You'd throw a tantrum, and you would only stop when one of two things happened."

Oroth stares at Aidan as he struggles against Devlyn.

"Do you have any idea how long it took me to realize all that negative energy was coming from you?

"Should I go warn them?"
