Looking for gamers in the Champaign/Urbana area. Game group is into pathfinder, DnD 3.5, Cthulhu, Shadowrun, etc. Warhammer and Warmahorde. Magic and Babylon 5 CCG. We have lost a couple of players and looking to recruit more. As a group we attend GenCon every year.

I am especially interested in anyone who plays or is interested in Babylon 5 CCG

I am inquiring if anyone out there is a fan of the Babylon 5 CCG and if you are, if you plan on attending Gen Con next year, 2012. I personally really enjoy this card game and have been looking for people to play other than my nephew. My game group has no interest. Gen Con seems like the most convient way to meet up with people that have similar gaming interests. So if you are interested let me know. I know people bought cards this year at a particular booth.

I'm thoroughly confused about where the halflight path comes out at.
City of Strangers says two different places...a bunker outside of the Warrens and in another section, to the west of the city. In a post, someone stated that it comes out near the central lake. If anyone has a definitive answer please help. When answer, please reference a source. Thanks.

As a huge Paizo fan I would like to just weigh in on some of my thoughts about the on going adventure path series. Rise of the Runelords stands as the quintesential path. It a word, it was AWESOME. Set in Varisia, it gave us our first taste of Golarion and we hungered for more. Whether its nostalgia or great content, Thassilon and Runelord material remain my favorite of all the areas of Golarion. Curse of the Crimson Throne continued do the path of excellent material and a great storyline. There were some Thassilonian ruins thrown in and the Shoanti spotlight was terrific. Second Darkness was the first AP I realized I would never run, it had some great moments but overall, the story failed to wow. It's saving grace is that it was set in Varisia giving more background. Legacy of Fire was a bit of a disappointment. Again, the story wasn't all that interesting but it still had great content and was well done. Council of Thieves lost me. I guess in my own games I had grown tired of devils and Cheliax interests me not at all. The mateial on the hell knigts was awesome though and the installment where the characters where in the play from hell was terrific. All in all, I didn't much care for it.
Then came Kingmaker and in my opinion, it reset the standards. The whole affair was so well done and the idea of building your kingdom was just plain genius. And now, we are into Serpents Skull. Once again I can't wait to get the next enstallment. As a player of I would love to play in this AP. The race to discover a lost city against competing factions, ancient snake cults, and a sandbox ruin to explore. I can't wait to see how it all plays out and am sad that I will never experience the awesome content as a player. Oh well. My only suggestion overall is a return to Varisia and some muldering Runelord action. Keep up the great work Paizo. You will continue to bleed my paycheck with your gaming goodness.

Is there any word on when the Adventure Path's or Modules will return to Varisia. Paizo has done an amazing job with fleshing out the rest of Golarion, but there is still a large part of Varisia that needs some attention. The first three AP's were the best and I'm hooked on Varisia. Also, I'm hoping that there will be some more content about ancient Thassilon, perhaps even another Runelord or two. I'm eagerly anticipating the book on Kaer Maga later this year.

I was wondering if anyone else out there had any opinions about the Iron Player "contest" at GenCon. I played in it and it was pretty terrible. Off the three DM's, two were down right awful. Here is just some general observations.

1) Character creation was confusing and a waste of time, my fey background sorcerer used almost none of the equipement I spent an hour buying and I never made a single skill check that mattered.

2) Having eight people at a table was too much. Most of the "encounters" or obstacles were designed for classes with skills (and by skills I mean diplomacy and Know (local), and the loudest player got the attention.

3) The cinematic combats was an absolute waste of time. With my new PFRPG rule book sitting in front of me, I sat and described what my character did and rolled one dice, with an arbitrary success or failure. That was just dumb.

4) I don't even know where to go from here. between the bad DM's who didn't even seem to understand the rules to the lame story, I couldn't believe I had payed $10 and wasted 8 hours+ on this garbage.

I understand that things like this are probably difficult to run but one place to start is maybe getting good DM's. Second, try not to be so grand in scope. Set up encounters that mix skills and combat, and go for a shorter more managable story. Who ever won the right to call themselves "Iron Player" I laugh at you. It means you played a rogue and you out-shouted the other people at the table hogging the spotlight.

If your thinking about playing in it next year, don't bother. Go back to your room and have someone run a game using the pathfinder rules. You will have more fun.

This is a long shot but thought I would give it a try. Looking for players in the Charleston,IL. area interested in playing in a DnD 3.5 savage tide campaign. I have a regular game group but they are taking a break and playing some Shadowrun. Looking at playing on a set day, possible evening, 8pm start time(six hour session), every other week. Doesn't matter if you are a novice or veteran. This will be a laid back game and also would be an introduction to other gamers in the area.

I seem to recall that there was an issue of Dungeon or Dragon that listed all the Kyuss Undead and their stats in one place. Can anyone recall where that can be found or am I not remembering correctly. I have gone over several of the later AP issues and can't seem to find anything.

I know that its nearly time to receive issue 134 but one of the adventures in issue 132 left an indelible mark on my gaming. When the issue arrived I immediately tore into the AoW adventure to see what new horrors awaited. I was not disappointed and read the entire adventure. I briefly skimmed the other two adventures with Caverns of the Ooze Lord earning a sneer and a scoff. What tripe, who cares about puddings and slimes and such. Boring. What a waste of time. Campbell Pentney, crawl back into a can of Fosters and never darken dungeon's door again. Careless words of a fool.

Days passed and I wasted time at work reading Wingclippers Revenge. A fun little romp butchering fey and hobgoblins, what fun. Then I devoured the other articles, reading through each but skipping the bio of Ella. With a roll of my eyes I flipped past it.

Well, a month is a long time to wait for the next issue of dungeon. And curse my luck, #133 was MIA. The good people at Paizo rectified the situation but only after I was forced to submit myself to the wonderful pleasures of the Oozelord.

Yes, desperate for more Dungeon I reluctantly started to read Campbell's masterpeice and found myself a thrall to its sinister oozings. Not only did I love the adventure but soon Ella Mornel was making life miserable for my players.

I've played my fair share of paladins and rangers. Destroying rampant undead and stalemating orc armies. I've delved through various prestige classes and felt fairly satisfied until now.

My heart burns to be an Oozemaster. I long to avenge Morbion and set my slimes, puddings and oozes loose on the unsuspecting public. Any rank and file, half-baked wizard can raise an undead army but the last time I checked not many players could turn that pesky gelatinus cube that just devoured your rogue. After a lifetime of doing good, I am a fallen player and can't wait to take the path of darkness. Oh what terror I will sew. Well I could but I dont know where the @#%^ to find the Oozemaster prestige class.

I know this was wordy but I had to sing the praises of one of the best adventures I've ever had the pleasure to read. So please, if anyone can help, where can I find a reference on the Oozemaster prestige class.

Oh yeah, to the editor's of Dungeon, get Pentney on the phone and have him cook up some more oozy goodness.
