Are subscribers still getting emails when there are new releases for Slumbering Tsar? I haven't gotten one in ages to let me know there is a new volume out and I'd like to make sure it won't interfere with receiving the hardcover when it is released.
After reading another post here regarding gift certificates, I'm considering getting myself a couple while the exchange rate is working in my favor.
Couple of quick questions:
1) Do gift certificates expire?
2) If I apply the certificate as a store credit, do I have a choice as to which orders to apply it to?
3) Is there a limit to how many gift certificates I can purchase/apply to my account?

Edit: looks like you need to grab a program called calibre to convert epub to mobi, then you can copy the file to the appropriate folder on your kindle/tablet. Off to experiment more.

Or were you asking about if they sold physical copies of their PDF only releases?
http://www.battlecorps.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=28 I would never recommend buying PDFs from Battlecorps directly. If they ever update their files, you have a limited window to grab the files. Same thing if you buy the PDF. If you don't download right away (or say forget that you bought something), you can't grab it later. I've been trying to get the updated PDFs of all the core rulebooks that I bought and can't because the download time window has expired.
Since you can't get the PDFs at Paizo, you're far better off to purchase from DTRPG.com
Great.
Now I have to hope my subscriptions get here before that happens :(
Any chance we'll be seeing this available for purchase at the Paizo store?

Does this version come with the PDF and the double sided map (similar to the one listed on the Conflict Games website)?
I'm curious, do the security settings used preclude the use of some more advanced PDF features?
I took a look awhile ago at an Eclipse Phase PDF and I really like the way the PDF was structured. You had the option of turning off the background layers, art and other options to get clean text if you were printing something. This is something that I feel is lacking in Paizo's PDFs. Any chance of adding something similar to future PDF releases?
Good Afternoon,
I'm wondering if I can suspend order #1543985 and have it sent with next month's shipment. (The shipping cost is hard to justify for a just a single item).
Just to throw my 2cp in.
Like the OP I would prefer each side to have a seperate image on it, I've bought a couple of the various flip-mats, so if I need blank sides I've got them. Cool maps that I don't have to draw though... that would be very handy.
Steel_Wind wrote: Simple: There are a ton of gamers in Canada and, Amazon.ca aside, esssentially ZERO competition from online sources within Canada due to the difference in shipping costs and brokerage fees to Canada from the United States. All the competitors that are present in the American market are much less pronounced in Canada. There are a very large number of gaming shops in Canada.
Despite this, sales of Pathfinder are comparitively lower in Canada and Pahtfinder society play is virtually nil.
I not sure how to fix this, but I do know that in a situation where you have as large a market as there is north of the border which can essentially be serviced at the same cost as the American dmoestic market -- but which isn't buying your products to the extent they should be?
It's time to attempt to fix that as Paizo has clearly left some easy money on the table here. Pick it up.
this!
and an android app would be awesome.
I was looking at one of the preview PDFs for Eclipse Phase and they have a really nice option to turn off the various layers of their PDFs. If Paizo could do something similar I would be very impressed (I DM from an older tablet and it's sometimes slow going browsing through the PDFs).
Does the steel core extend all the way to the edge of the pad? I had two complaints about the original one. 1) the colors were too dark (resolved!) and 2) the edges were really flimsy with what seemed like a 1/2 inch border that there was no backing to.
I'd like to replace mine with something a little sturdier, but I'm nowhere near close to a FLGS/NSFLGS, so I sadly have no way of checking it out.

Never hurt my sales at all. Sooner or later, they all get a wake up call and realize the world dosen;t owen them crap. Same experience here. I appreciate good customer service but as a retailer I think people need to be good customers too. I'll bend over backwards to help out a customer who is polite and reasonable, but when confronted by aggressive or offensive behaviour my first thought is "how much time and effort do I devote to this before I fire this customer".
I think the iconics should be removed (certainly from the AP, I can see an argument for leaving them in the Pathfinder Module line). If iconics were to be provided for the APs, rather than putting them in the actual AP itself, 1st level versions (of all the iconics) should be added to the Player's Guide to the AP.
I'd like to see a product similar to Enemies & Allies (I think that's what it was called) from the original 3.0 releases. Something that has all the iconics from level 1 - 20. I occasionally do one-shot sessions and it would be useful having a roster of characters for someone dropping in for just a session or two.
I'm prepping for my Kingmaker game today and I have a quick question about Boggards. I see they get a "Sticky Tongue" attack that can be detached as a free (as opposed to swift/immediate action). When they are stuck to a target they can't move more than 10' away. My question is: what happens if the target tries to move more than 10' away on its turn? Does it drag the boggard with it (since the boggard can only detach on it's turn)?
So I've started checking out Pathfinder podcasts and I keep hearing that this one is supposed to be really good and I'd like to check it out.
How would one go about finding what URL to use to subscribe to the podcast if one did not use iTunes? (I use Media Monkey).
So here's something that came up for my weekend game. I was trying to find the Abadar article and couldn't locate it (until I busted out the google).
With all this fantastic material coming from Paizo, it would be nice if there was some type of online article index for the Companion/Chronicles/AP product lines. Any chance of seeing something like this in the future?

1st death in the 1st session.
Name: Hugo Alahandros
Race: Human
Classes/levels: Paladin 1
Adventure: Stolen Lands
Location: Thorn River Bandit Camp
Catalyst: A poorly thought-out attack against Kressle & the bandits
The Gory Details: After defeating the bandits at Oleg's, the PCs kept one prisoner alive, promising to release him if he led the group to the bandit camp. Once they arrived, a quick bit of scouting by the rogue and a clue as to the enemy's location, a plan is hatched. The rogue will take care of the sentry, while the rest of the group attacks the bandits hiding in the clearing. Seems like a good plan until...
a) the PCs decide to change the plan on the fly, sending one character up the trail towards the camp (splitting the party yet again).
b) realizing that some of the party was still wounded before starting the fight and still going ahead with it.
Kressle & co suffer some losses, but Kressle manages to down the paladin, cleric & barb of the group before demanding that the survivors surrender (which is where we ended the session).
Does anyone know if one of the 2 remaining Adventures deal with the Iron Wraiths (the group sent off to pacify the Tiger Barbs)?

I really like the little summation of the political scene in Brevoy, it nicely wraps up the charter issue with a reason for it to be issued (something that Stolen Lands didn't do so well IMO). The write ups are interesting as well...
I'll be keeping my eye on this one :)
I subscribed to this unit and would like to go grab Chapter 2... where do I go to download it?
I'm prepping a Kingmaker campaign to start in the next couple of weeks. I've got a pretty good handle on the region and the scope of play, but I do have one question that I can't seem to find the answer to.
Who are the Swordlords of Restov? Are they an actual political organization? Are they a collective of Aldori duelist who wield political power? Do they have any relation (official or unofficial) to the Lord Mayor?
Basically, I need to know who gives the charter to the PCs. Any suggestions?
So does this replace the Slumbering Tsar that was released by Necro?
Funny,
I was looking for a project to do with my fancy new Matrix jewellery CAD design program. Now I'll have to spend my weekend experimenting :)
So... maybe it's just me and my computer but does anyone else notice the Legacy of Fire headers on the pages of the map folio PDF as you scroll through it? I'm using Foxit and it's fine when I stop on a page and the image draws, but as I'm scrolling, before the image/map has rendered I'm seeing a header for the previous AP.
Just weirdness on my end?
For what it's worth, I'm really happy with the quality of the Chinese printers that Paizo is using. I've been a subscriber from the start and I've only had 2 books that had binding issues, unlike my 4E books (printed in the US) that are already seperating after only 2 weekends of use.
There is supposed to be a problem with the ISP/Host for the RPGX site. From what I know (which is very little) they are still around.

Took a quick look on ebay and found someone selling* the complete AP plus a few Chronicles books for about 30$.... but no individual listings of Burnt Offerings!
Impressive work for Paizo indeed.
* Edit: 30 for shipping too, but still 60 bucks ain't bad.

After reading those blogs, I checked out "Foxit", and while it has some of the same exploitable issues as Adobe Reader, it is SOOOOOOOOO much faster at opening and displaying PDFs... The only problem with Foxit is that it, WinXP, and the Paizo PDFs don't seem to play nice together. There are graphical display issues which mess up the formatting and make it harder to read. Oddly it works just fine in Vista, so that's where I read the Pathfinder stuff. The difference in how fast Foxit runs and handles files makes it worth the hassle.
It also doesn't let you extract the graphics the way Adobe Reader does, but that's not an issue for me since I don't have the time to do it anyway. Most of the Foxit problems have been resolved as of the lastest version (especially the weird graphic not being behind the text issue as well as the upside-down text magnified issue).
Does the pathfinder advantage apply to this subscription?
If I want to order multiple copies of RPG rules, how is that handled?
Boo-urns to vertical alignment!
This would be a sure buy for me, if only it was in landscape format :(

Pathfinder Charter Superscribers! I feel so special!
Was just looking at the store blog and I saw this:
That's right! From now until the end of May, you can chop off another 10% on any single order on paizo.com. The 10% comes off your subtotal after any other discounts have been applied—including sale items and the Pathfinder Advantage—but before shipping and taxes are added. Just use the code PFRPG during checkout, and we'll do the rest. The more you purchase, the more you save!
Any chance I could get this applied to this order?
Although just looking into it, I ran across this in the store blog:

I inquired about the same thing on an order I placed and was told that the PA discount didn't "stack" with the PFRPG discount by customer service. Which makes the PFRPG coupon useless to subscribers :(
Excellent, thank you.
Could you please combine order #1173352 and order #1175603
Thanks!
Quick bump, and one more question! I meant to add some item cards to this order, is it too late to do so?
Quick follow-up to this order. I subscribed to the pathfinder modules on the same order as everything else. This will ship with my other Pathfinder subscriptions and not hold till the other stuff I ordered is ready to ship correct?
Good afternoon customer service peoples!
I just placed an order (#1173352) and I'm wondering if you can check the discounting on it. I'm not sure that I got the Pathfinder Advantage discount and the PFRPG discount.
thanks!
So far I'm quite impressed with it!
One exception though... it's an engrossing read, so I stayed up far too late last night reading it and will be dragging my butt at work toady :)
This stuff looks fantastic, and I was really pleased with the quality of another WWG product I had purchased.
But....
Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent inkjet printer for this (preferably something I can get a continuous ink system for)? I've been to the WWG website and can find all kinds of recommendations for printers that aren't manufactured anymore. I've bought 2 different color laser printers (toner flaking problems), 4 different inkjets (multitudes of problems). I WANT, WANT, WANT to start making (and more importantly for WWG, purchasing) some of this fantastic terrain, but cannot find a decent printer to do it with.
Help me!
One thing I've noticed about 3.5 is that it doesn't really handle scaling monsters very well. In Library of Last Resort (may have the name wrong), there are several monsters that have been advanced many hit dice. The biggest problem with this is that BAB scales up so quickly that it makes for auto hits on every roll except ones. I'm coming around to the POV that HD/BAB could be boosted slightly, and any increase beyond that would come from doubling/tripling HPs.
The one other area I've noticed that 3.5 is a pain is in the sheer number of buffs available. I'm really starting to hate Dispel Magic. It's bad for the PCs (too much math to recalc) and even worse for the DM (too many monsters buffed). The higher level you get, the worse it seems to be.

We've played 4E a couple of times, not enough for a true game experience, but enough to get the gist of the game.
Likes:
- Encounter Preparation, I'm a huge fan of the XP budget.
- Minimal Fluff in the core books. I'm not a fan of the "Points of Light" concept presented in the books and am grateful that there is not too much fluff tied to the rules that I have to change.
- Simplified Game Play. Less modifiers, simple action sequence.
- The concept of skill challenges (the execution leaves much to be desired IMO, but the idea is great).
Dislikes:
- Everytime we've played, the characters all "feel" the same. I suspect that this is due to the fact that the powers are all balanced against each other, so there are a lot of similarities between character potential.
- Lack of abilities and powers that are useful outside of combat.
- It feels unfinished. Actually not so much unfinished as very, very bare bones. The impression that I get is that there was much more material that was trimmed out to add to expansion books.
- My entire group hates it, the oft made comparison is that it's too much like Descent, but less fun.
I had a similar problem with Adobe and ended up switching over to Foxit Reader. It seems quite a bit faster than Acrobat Reader. There have been a few issues with printing PDFs, but as long as I keep it updated, it's never really been a problem.
Just bumping this to say that it would be awesome to be able to subscribe for these.
Thanks!
I've been playing a lot of this the last couple of days and it sure is fun...
Mind you, that could be because it's been ages since I last played a FPS.
Anyone else playing it now that it's out?
